Good news everyone!

Giants also lost DT Marvin Austin for the season, along with CB Brian Witherspoon.

Evil Vito 08-23-2011 07:15 PM

Austin too??? Wow. I knew about Witherspoon already but Austin being done too is a shocker. The guy looked impressive.

I was offered a free ticket to Saturday's game. I generally view pre-season as a waste of time, but I might go simply because the team I see when I eventually get to a regular season game this year is gonna be even further decimated by injuries.

Innovator 08-23-2011 07:22 PM

Dunno, 3rd game is the best to go to. It's Giants/Jets and you'll see the starters into the 3rd.

Evil Vito 08-23-2011 07:30 PM

True, I'll probably go. Only gotta pitch in for gas and buy a token beer for my friend for getting the ticket.

It's just a shame real life can't be like Madden: Turn off injuries and sim the preseason.

Innovator 08-23-2011 07:35 PM

yeah but then you miss out on everyone getting their hopes up for our secondary then half of it being decimated two preseason games in.

Gonzo 08-23-2011 08:56 PM

If you go to the game Vito pm me. I'll be there. We can meet on the concourse and take DX style photos for the TPWW community.

Gonzo 08-23-2011 08:57 PM

Also, injuries are getting ridiculous tbh.

SlickyTrickyDamon 08-23-2011 10:14 PM

They should have cut the number pre-season games for this season only and given the teams enough time to run as many mini-camps, strength/conditioning workouts and stuff as possible. In the rush to have the season as it always was they damned some players to not have a season at all.

They knew this was going to happen. The players left to their own devices is leading to all of these season-ending injuries. Some of the players hung around with each other and did the best they could without their staff.

Gonzo 08-23-2011 10:16 PM

I dunno, feel like a torn ACL or torn pectoral could happen any time as a freak accident.

RP 08-24-2011 12:21 AM

Joseph addai mvp

RP 08-24-2011 12:39 PM

Colts just signed Kerry Collins....good game Texans.

RP 08-24-2011 12:55 PM

I know the Farve idea was lol, but Collins? Was Testeverde not available? God, this could be the year the Colts fall.

Bernie Kosar?

RP 08-24-2011 03:12 PM

I'm honestly watching closely at the superbowl odds cause the last time Manning was hurt to start the season, he win mvp . I like my chances .

Collins retired. Either there was nobody at the bottom of the barrel, or this neck injury Peyton Manning got is more serious than everyone thought.

FearedSanctity 08-24-2011 07:30 PM

Gotta be worse than they thought. There are some decent QBs out there who could start for Indy for a week or two, so to go for a guy like Collins really says something IMO

hes played well enough that I guess I dont worry too much about an injury to Flacco but Id still rather have a veteran in there.

Looking forward to the game tonight on ESPN with the Redskins

ESPN asks the question: What if Vick were white?

Droford 08-26-2011 12:17 AM

and the Ravens come back to beat the Redskins with Ray Lewis on commentary from the sidelines..

LOL

McLegend 08-26-2011 12:19 AM

The white Vick really looks like someone, but I can't figure out who.

Emperor Smeat 08-26-2011 01:40 AM

Rex Grossman with a beard?

Then again Grossman looks like a fatter version of Tim Tebow.

My guess is this will mean that a lot of the marginally close calls in the endzone will be ruled touchdowns and left to replay to confirm or not.

Yeah, This would of been great last year, in that Miami Game where Rapistberger fumbled the ball and Miami recovered it in the Endzone, but the ball was still given to Pittsburgh....

RP 08-27-2011 01:08 AM

Seriously proud of Curtis Painter answering the bell tonight.

Team Sheep 08-27-2011 04:54 AM

Can't help but think of Jets @ Colts in December 2009. Ahh memories...

Evil Vito 08-27-2011 12:07 PM

Wish the Giants/Jets could have been cancelled entirely instead of just postponed. The less preseason games, the better.

Skippord 08-27-2011 10:34 PM

really wish Kyle Orton did not play quarterback for my favorite NFL football team

Please tell your favorite team to ship him to mine, like everyone expected to happen.

Skippord 08-28-2011 01:25 AM

I will send them a memo

FearedSanctity 08-28-2011 03:42 AM

Ahaha, Tebow jumping up and down on the sideline like a little kid trying to convince Fox to go for it

RP 08-28-2011 10:47 AM

Bob Ryan is an idiot. I guess he thinks he's the first to scream that the Colts are done. When Indy lost Edge, they were done. When they lost Marvin they were done. Except the fact that they went to two superbowls and won one. People have been saying the Colts will not make the playoffs for the last five years I fucking prey Manning comes back and wins the superbowl. I want that Bob Ryan clip playing non stop. And this other black asshole saying he's seen them play this pre season and it looks bad? Is he just now seeing the Colts play in the pre season????? ESPN needs to stop paying uninformed assholes to have opinions. This is embarrassing.

Fuck you Bob Ryan. Prey Manning don't get healthy soon. Fucking old wrinkly douche.

RP 08-28-2011 09:23 PM

The Colts might have the best defensive line in the league this year. Best pass rush for sure. Freeney looks like he wants to kill people. Two sacks on Rodgers a couple nights a go. Tommy Harris is looking like a steal. And the name to watch out for...Drake Nevis. Drake Nevis might be a pro bowl DT . I guarantee people will be talking about Nevis by mid season.

Evil Vito 08-29-2011 11:13 PM

Fucking pitiful.
