There's another site where you pay a subscription and a stylist picks out clothes for you each month. Kind of weird but it's cool for whoever is in to it.

I've seen a lot of videos on it lately so I wondered if anyone here has subscribed.

If I want to buy something I'll pick it out myself. This seems to be a scam to get unpopular items out of inventory and into some idiot's hands.

I actually signed up for the clothes shopping thing from a recommendation from my brother but quickly cancelled it because it seemed stupid.

Back to the Terminator reboot/sequel thing. My brother and I were talking about it, and I told him about the "living tissue" gimmick they're running with for Arnold, and he brought up the idea that it would have been cooler to have him be an original resistance member, only to eventually be captured, held hostage/killed and used as the model for the next gen terminators.

Kalyx triaD 07-08-2014 10:28 PM

Yeah I thought that would be a case when I heard he was doing the movie.

Lock Jaw 07-08-2014 11:06 PM

That whole using people as a model for Terminators thing was an interesting part of the TV show that never got to be explored....

Some gaming related film news:

The animated Heavenly Sword film is current set to be released on September 2nd on Blu-Ray, DVD, and PSN.
Quote:

The movie was put together by Cinedigm and boasts Hollywood voice actors, including Anna Torv (Fringe), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) and Thomas Jane (Deep Blue Sea). Sadly, there will be no Andy Serkis this time around, as Molina supplants the famed performance capture artist in the role of King Bohan.

The group involved with the 2007 Hitman film recently stated they want to work on a film from the Thief series.
Quote:

Prime Universe, the minds behind 2007's Hitman movie adaptation, has their eyes on a movie based on Thief. Adrian Askarieh and Roy Lee are behind the project as producers. Askarieh is also working on a Kane & Lynch adaptation, as well as what looks like a sequel to the original Hitman movie, where Roy Lee has worked on The Ring, The Grudge, and other Americanizations of popular Japanese horror films.

This year at E3, Sony unveiled its plan for original programming on the PSN -- debuting with Powers. As a superhero live-action series, Powers will debut this December, along with their first director, who will handle the first two episodes -- David Slade, who has worked on Hannibal, Breaking Bad (one episode; a good one), and 30 Days of Night.

The first image from Ridley Scott’s Halo: Nightfall has appeared online, offering a look at the newest Spartan on the block Agent Locke.

The image was posted online by Variety (has since been taken down) and features actor Mike Colter (The Good Wife and The Following). It was originally believed that Colter would play a character called Marlow, but multiple sources have since confirmed that he will play the role of Spartan Agent Locke, who will also appear in Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One.

Locke will play a key role in Halo 5, and Nightfall is designed to tell his origin story so players have an idea of who the character is when he appears in the game, according to 343 Industries studio head Bonnie Ross.

We already knew that a live-action The Last of Us movie was in the works at Screen Gems, but additional details surrounding the project have been announced today at San Diego Comic-Con.

Game co-director and writer Neil Druckmann is writing the script for the adaptation and Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead) is producing. A director hasn't been named yet -- that role will be chosen by Druckmann -- but they've talked with Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones' Arya Stark) about playing Ellie. Raimi also said they'd find a place in the film for Bruce Campbell.

There was this movie, Held Up about a gas station robbery or something and Jamie Foxx played a guy named Michael and everyone kept thinking he was Tyson and asking him for autographs. I remember thinking he did kinda look like him. That was before Foxx was famous.

I forgot about that movie. The thing I remember the most was that he had a piece of a doritos chip lodged in his shoulder or back.

Broken Arrow is a critically misused score. I'm telling you it's great, and someone should use it for something. No one is going to notice.

You shut up Jura. All my life as a comic fan, I had to suffer through garbage superhero movies, outside of the tim burton batman ones.

whiteyford 08-09-2014 04:55 PM

We had David Hasslehoff as Nick Fury though.
