“That guys an idiot. It’s his own fault if he can’t tell the difference between an all star center and a plug defenceman” explained Kevin Bieksa. “He shouldn’t even be allowed in the room.” Bieksa didn’t stop there, as he continued to rip on Dunsmore “He doesn’t know who Ryan Kesler is. Ryan Kesler won a silver medal for them. I did a full 10 maybe 15 minute interview with him, I was telling how I grew up in Livonia”
Amazing.

Game 7 in Florida tomorrow night. FFS Panthers, you have to want it!

weather vane 04-25-2012 02:16 PM

GO BRUINS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Droford 04-25-2012 09:45 PM

hell of a game 7

Evil Vito 04-25-2012 10:12 PM

Ridiculous amount of OT games already in these playoffs. Insane amounts of parity.

Droford 04-25-2012 10:18 PM

Last Caps OT in game 7 they lost 4 years ago to the Flyers.

Droford 04-25-2012 10:24 PM

CAPS WIN! i dont believe it

Droford 04-25-2012 10:31 PM

If the Devils/Senators win tomorrow the top 4 seeds in the east are out...thats ridiculous

Emperor Smeat 04-25-2012 10:32 PM

1 mistake the Bs did and it came back big time. Series and Game 7 was pretty great but such a nail bitter with the record breaking 7 1-goal games.

Was going to be tough for the Bs to repeat with them getting the worst case scenario for a Rd 1 opponent and the history being unfavorable to defending champs in Rd 1 as well.

weather vane 04-25-2012 10:52 PM

just awful...

Caps are bad...

Droford 04-25-2012 11:08 PM

This sort of makes up for the last couple years of the Caps being good and choking in the playoffs.

I note that if the Rangers win, the Caps play the Rangers next round and the Rangers are the only team the Caps have been able to beat in the playoffs since 08 (2-0).

If the Senators win, the Caps would play the Flyers if the Panthers win and the Devils if they win. Going to go out on a limb and say they do not want to play the flyers...

Droford 04-26-2012 12:04 AM

WOW..the Caps minor league team the Hershey Bears won tonight, 2:57 in OT as well.

wierd..

Blitz 04-26-2012 02:23 AM

Incredible first round. Wow. Bet a lot of people's playoff brackets are shot to shit now.

El Fangel 04-26-2012 05:51 AM

That Hawks fan I was talking about, I told him Washington would win at the beginning of the season. At the start of the playoffs, I turned to Nashville due to Radulov. Im going to laugh my ass off if the finals are Nashville vs Washington.

Also, yes, bracket is fucked now. I had Nashville vs The B's in the final.

MVP 04-26-2012 09:30 AM

People already talking about trading Thomas in the offseason. Good lord.

Well performance aside, I thought he would be gone by now 2 years ago when Rask was kicking it up a notch.

The Bs will find some shit team to take Thomas for a first, and further stockpile talent in their rings of hell.

Fucking cocksuckers.

Fucking cocksuckers.

They got two firsts and a second for Kessel.

Toronto is frothing at the mouth right now to get their goalie of the future.

Marshall - says:
I would cry a slow tear if that happens.
and I will take that deal.
Kyle says:
why would you cry lol
Marshall - says:
With joy because if the Leafs ever made the playoffs again, they would be fucked from the start.

MSN conversation I am having.

Hanso Amore 04-26-2012 12:19 PM

Luango to the Leafs makes sense.

Thomas to the Blackhawks or Oilers IMHO

Ermaximus 04-26-2012 12:53 PM

Don't know what to watch tonight. Game 7 of Panthers/Devils or the NFL Draft?

El Fangel 04-26-2012 12:57 PM

NFL Draft.

Blitz 04-27-2012 01:53 AM

Again. Amazing first round. Was pulling for the Panthers a bit.

RaginRonic 04-27-2012 02:05 AM

Well, a 20th year of no Stanley Cup for the NHL clubs who play their home games in Canada has come and gone. a 2nd straight Lost Decade for our teams in Canada has now ended. And I'm here to say that is not okay for Canada's 7 NHL clubs to be politicked out of Stanley Cup titles without end.

At least, up till the 1980s, Canadian franchises won lots of Cups every decade. But the U.S. dollar caused Canada's economy to implode in the mid-90s, and the U.S. figured it was bad for hockey for Canadian teams to win championships at all.

So, I'm here to say it's no longer okay for anyone in the U.S. to have any knowledge about hockey. And I'm calling for the NHL to leave the U.S. for good, no matter what it does to the sport. It may sound jingoistic, but I'm fed up with the U.S. teams sponging off the Canadian franchises and living off the corporate welfare we provide and afford most of the markets in the U.S.

But then, the NHL is ONLY EVER about off-ice politics, with the on-ice product a corrupt and legally bankrupt afterthought.

Blitz 04-27-2012 02:20 AM

lol

El Fangel 04-27-2012 05:35 AM

Lol what

Nice copy and paste job.

SammyG 04-28-2012 01:29 PM

Fuck the Blues.

LoDownM 04-29-2012 05:25 PM

Can't believe I actually want New Jersey to win a playoff series.

El Fangel 04-29-2012 05:27 PM

I like NJ. Parise :)

SammyG 04-30-2012 01:57 AM

So, yeah, about that 8 seed...

Emperor Smeat 05-01-2012 12:02 AM

Wow at the Kings.

Already played spoilers and giant killers to the #1 overall seed with Vancouver and now they might do the same to #2 seed St Louis.

YOUR Hero 05-01-2012 10:06 AM

Don't count the Blues out yet... athough I want to.

Yeah,

Kind of reminds me of Washington and how they took out Boston and might do the same with NYR.

Kapoutman 05-01-2012 12:54 PM

The prospect of Phoenix making it to the Conference Finals sends shivers down my spine.

OssMan 05-01-2012 01:10 PM

Pulling for a Phoenix/Watchington final

Heyman 05-01-2012 06:28 PM

I think the Los Angeles Kings look like the odds on favorite right now. It's looking more and more like they pissed around during the regular season and are now revealing their true selves.

I'm pulling for the Phoenix Coyotes since old man Doan looks like he's Phoenix's version of what Trevor Linden used to be for Canuck fans, but I think LA will take the cup.

weather vane 05-01-2012 06:53 PM

Rangers win the Cup... mark it down

Gertner 05-01-2012 08:39 PM

I really hope Phoenix wins the Cup and Shane Doan brings it to Manitoba and pisses right in the middle of Winnipeg.

YOUR Hero 05-02-2012 10:30 AM

Kings had a better record than you might think in the regular season. Also, if you look at their losses, they scored 1.5 goals or somethng (maybe less) in thoses losses AND lost most of them by 1 goal. when they added goal scoring at the trade deadline, they freed up the other scorers. Thaat what happens when you add depth.
I like their chances.
