I don't think reigns vs hhh will be as great as you do narc. I think it can work but it won't be a huge match. Will be overshadowed.

It is the only long term story they have. Brock/Wyatt could be very intriguing too.
|
Was actually a hot finish though. Clever booking in that they had to have known Orlando would be anti Roman as a smarky crowd, so have HHH throw out Ambrose would give him the desired heel reaction, and not people worshipping him for finishing Reigns at the end. Because he got a HUGE fucking pop for throwing out Reigns, if that closed the rumble it would just look really bad.

Let's not forget that this is the reason Paul's rise to ascendancy ever occurred. =P |
I am more than ok with this. Not like it was a surprise anyway, but Ambrose getting a big push from this would be good too.
|
Thought that was a pretty sweet Rumble, actually. Aside from why the League of Nations wouldn't just roll Reigns back in to be eliminated.
|
What people perceive as charisma these days is different. Triple H and Roman Reigns don't have that flavor. The crowd got majorly bummed when it was teased, and they weren't even a particularly smarkish crowd -- they wanted everything to be over.
Triple H and Reigns couldn't even get people into their shit in Reigns' homestate and where Triple H is recognised as the Father of NXT. This is not going to work. There was something eerily creepy about the way Michael Cole was announcing Triple H the winner too. Like he's some young cat. He also pretty cleanly eliminated Reigns and only really abused his power to the point where he was #30. He sort of earned the right to call himself champion. A bit weird. |
Seriously, you people need to relax. Does anyone believe Ambrose would be a better draw than HHH? Hell no. This Rumble was played almost perfectly. Super fun and exciting.

Nah. They already have the easy booking.
Reigns wants his rematch and will be forced by the authority to beat the League of Nations in some matches to maintain his number one contender status and then will face hhh at wm32 Lesnar vs Wyatt is coming together. Ambrose will be in a match with Ambrose, styles, Sami or some mixture of that. Cena might make a come back or Orton and have matches as well. And probably taker in a retirement match. Not a great wrestlemania for the biggest crowd ever |
The booking of the Rumble was actually pretty good until it got to the point where people are meant to like Roman.

* Triple H vs. Reigns
* Brock vs. Wyatt * Ambrose vs. Jericho |
Pretty predictable rumble match. Lost the Network after Goldusts entrance and didnt get it back til Ambrose entered. AJ gave me chills, who eliminated him?
|
So Wrestlemania:
Triple H vs. Roman Reigns Bray Wyatt (and friends) vs. Brock Lesnar Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho (he eliminated Jericho, and they felt the need to remind us of their beef) Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn This is actually not sounding too bad right now. |

Fuck you.

last 5 minutes were hot, finish was fine, lulled a bit in the middle but it was fun

Didn't mind the finish, really like how Dean and HHH took in the moment which is what is always cool with the rumble and that was a sweet WHATAMANEUVER combo HHH used to win. BUT It woulda been a lot cooler if Ambrose won just out of "WOOOOOO MOTHAFUCKA" value. |
Finally, we can get a 8 month HHH title run with people not appreciating HHHs greatness.

Lol at the thought people still buy for hhh. Lesnarvyes. Taker yes.
Hhh isn't a special attraction anymore. |

I am firmly not an every-week watcher, and pretty much only am excited about Rumble and WM at this point in my life someone like Ambrose in the WM main event entices me to actually watch HHH in 2016 as champion is probably the least-entertaining thing I can even think of right now |
Heh....maybe I need to hit the casino tomorrow....
Winner: Triple H Last Participant Eliminated: Roman Reigns (close) BONUS (+50 points) Winning Number: 30 BONUS (+25 points) First Non-predetermined Entry: Rusev #2 BONUS (+25 points) Last Non-predetermined Entry: Triple H #30 BONUS (+25 points) Participant with the longest time: Roman Reigns BONUS (+50 points) Random Elimination (ex. Bo Dallas eliminates Cesaro): Roman Eliminates Rusev |
I'm a one time a year fan.
I don't see anything with hhh I want to see. I bought wm30 for Daniel Bryan, I bought last year for sting. This year nothing jumps out at me yet. Reigns hhh certainly isn't it. |
I've got tears in my eye and a crust forming in my underwear. I will forever know where I was at 9:47pm on Sunday, January 24th, 2015.

Lesnar vs Reigns was the biggest realistic main event they could have done for WrestleMania given the unfinished business from last year.
Triple H going into WrestleMania as champion at this point is just... weird. Especially against an "underdog" Reigns that the crowd is probably gonna shit on, too. |

HHH is not that much of a marquee name. Like people don't really give THAT much of a fuck about him. He could probably draw a bit more but not a huge amount. The Wrestlemania brand would be what draws. Ambrose while maybe not being super mainstream has the potential to be part of the future of your company and you have to take chances on guys, even if they aren't the chosen one. In saying that, nothing wrong with the finish tonight. Good royal rumble, I enjoyed it. |
