Nervous Ferret 06-05-2006 08:59 PM

faggot just hit one off the facing of the upper deck :o

Evil Vito 06-05-2006 09:00 PM

Goddammit, I knew I should have sat Josh Beckett today

FakeLaser 06-05-2006 09:01 PM

Must be the blisters again.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 06-05-2006 09:07 PM

8 runs in 1.1 IP

Solid outing by Beckett

I didn't think Giambi could be possibly be even more of any worse (taking steriods then crying (literally) about it afterwards) but coming out to the Wolfpac theme for your whole career is probably the gayest thing I have ever seen.

Dragon 06-05-2006 09:36 PM

Yankeeees

Phillips has stepped it up playing every day.

Evil Vito 06-05-2006 09:37 PM

Ahahahaha

Apparently one of the projected top picks in this year's draft is a 3B named Evan Longoria. Man that's gotta suck.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 06-05-2006 09:49 PM

Wow watching this game has made me realize how much I truly hate the Yankees/Yankee Stadium

That took me three minutes to read.

RoXer 06-06-2006 12:09 AM

Hey, The Miz, I have a question for you.

How come everyone is better than you in our fantasy leagues?

The Miz 06-06-2006 12:10 AM

I dunno, maybe I should check my team for the first time since opening week.

RoXer 06-06-2006 12:10 AM

Asmman, why was your dad in the dugout?

The Miz 06-06-2006 12:11 AM

holy shit @ Ken Jr. 3-run bomb in the 9th vs. Isringhausen. 8-7 Reds

Oh. Youre one of THOSE.

RoXer 06-06-2006 12:13 AM

Shawn Green just made a great defensive play.

I guess that makes up for his 900 not so great defensive plays.

Pretty hilarious, almost as funny as a typo

RoXer 06-06-2006 02:37 AM

ooh, you can find type O's... you mommy must be so proud, or this the only way to up youre post count since you have nothing inteligent to say?

Gertner 06-06-2006 12:18 PM

"sigh" stupid jays

BCWWF 06-06-2006 02:15 PM

So apparently the Brewers were maybe looking for some pitching help in the form of Kyle Lohse but Terry Ryan wouldn't budge for anything but Bill Hall. In a way, I like that because I get the impression that something good will come of Lohse, I don't want to do one of those Doug Mientkiewicz trades again.

Uhh what are you talking about?

I didn't even say anything about finding typo's? Pretty funny to talk about having some intelligent to say when what you said makes absolutely no sense in regards to what I posted.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 06-06-2006 04:47 PM

I read about Bard from UNC in this week's SI....nice

RoXer 06-06-2006 04:50 PM

CHILL STIMA, that was a quote from the late, great VEL and how he would always freak if I pointed out how confused I was if he would make a bunch of typos.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 06-06-2006 04:56 PM

Really? I've never seen that gem. It should have been me posting that quote though, not you - woulda made more sense lol

The Miz 06-06-2006 05:09 PM

I miss VEL, I bet this season he would make a post about how dumb I am every time Curt Schilling won a game

Jesus Shuttlesworth 06-06-2006 05:18 PM

Schilling is all done

The Miz 06-06-2006 05:26 PM

With the 149th overall pick the Chicago Cubs select Jeff Samardzija, right-handed pitcher from Notre Dame. Ha

The Miz 06-06-2006 05:30 PM

5.23 May ERA. Ouch.

BCWWF 06-06-2006 05:55 PM

It looks like Scherzer is going to be a reliever for Arizona. I'd imagine he'll be good, he was absolutely lights out these last two years. Anybody paying attention to the college world series?

The Miz 06-06-2006 06:26 PM

I am. I thought I was the only one who watched college baseball

FakeLaser 06-06-2006 06:29 PM

I thought KC would go with Lincoln.

BCWWF 06-06-2006 07:15 PM

I am not very smart in terms of college baseball, but I finally figured out how the tournament works. It was disappointing that Mizzou wasn't very good this year because we were preseason top 10 in one publication and beat No. 2 Florida right off the bat, but now things are really coming together. We swept Texas to end the regular season, dominated OU and OSU in the Big 12 Tournament and now just won three straight elimination games to be the first ever No. 4 seed to make the super regionals. I really think that Max Scherzer and Nate Culp couldget us to the CWS, which would be amazing, but Cal State Fullerton is damn good.

Anyway, college baseball is cool, but it is really hard to be very knowledgeable about it because it gets such little publicity and some of the best teams are from kind of random schools. Nonetheless, we have a pretty cool stadium at Mizzou and the games are fun to go to, it's just quality baseball when you're in a college town.

The Miz 06-06-2006 07:22 PM

Yeah, the only reason I know anything at all about it is because I live in a college town. Washington wasn't bad this year but the Pac-10 was really strong as usual. Tim Lincecum is a beast, watch for him on the Giants in a few years.

BCWWF 06-06-2006 07:35 PM

Do you know anything about Max Scherzer? He was Big 12 Pitcher of the Year and a bunch of other stuff last year, was in a who's who of baseball earlier this year in Sports Illustrated as the possible first overall pick, but then some injuries dropped him to 11. The only reason I ask is because I always figured he would be a starter, but the MLB.com scouting report said he might make the majors as a short inning reliever.

BCWWF 06-06-2006 07:36 PM

Also, I've been reading about how this draft was regarded as weak, but the 2000 one was considered the weakest. Are there any big names that came out of there?

FakeLaser 06-06-2006 07:51 PM

Looking at the first 15 rounds...

Chase Utley, Grady Sizemore, Dontrelle Willis, Brandon Webb, Rocco Baldelli, Adrian Gonzalez, Boof Bonser, Aaron Heilman, Xavier Nady, Nook Logan, Chris Young, David Dejesus, Cliff Lee, Yadier Molina, Bobby Jenks, Edwin Encarnacion, Clint Barmes, Brad Hawpe, Ryan Church

Not all big names or anything, just posted guys that have amounted to something.

The Miz 06-06-2006 08:02 PM

The drafts are going to be a lot better now that teams have figured out taking 30 high school pitchers is stupid

OssMan 06-06-2006 08:13 PM

Mets drafted RHP Tobi Stoner :o

RoXer 06-06-2006 08:15 PM

I would think going 50 rounds over the telephone is pretty stupid.
