Drebin was right. Cubs struggle against guys who attach the in the strike zone. Tonight's obvs a must win.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-29-2016 01:57 PM

I hate how even in the regular season pitching performances are all or nothing. If they give up more than 2 runs by the end of the 6th inning, they get yanked. You barely ever see a guy pitch 8 innings and give up 4 runs or 3 runs in 7 innings. I guess it has everything to do with the 100 pitch limit, but i feel like it's some kind of pussification of starting pitchers.

Booze and cocaine being blamed as the cause behind Jose Fernandez's death last month.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-29-2016 03:06 PM

probably not too much of a shock for anyone, and it doesn't make it any less sad.

Bad News Gertner 10-29-2016 05:59 PM

What a piece of shit

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-29-2016 08:44 PM

What is Lackey doing right now

Ruien 10-29-2016 09:16 PM

Feel bad for Lackey. Defense is playing like shit.

Ruien 10-29-2016 09:21 PM

I really like how everyone seems to be okay getting a hit I the playoffs but do it during the regular season everyone is always pissy.

This isn't little league. Only hot bats bat in October unless you are Heyward.

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 09:38 PM

Does whomever win tonight get to have another champagne party?

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 09:42 PM

Should have sold tomorrow's game. Gonna be cold af and prices are tanking so it almost seems futile to sell. If Indians clinch tomorrow there might be some very drunk and upset cubs fans. More worried about that than I would have been if they'd won.

Ruien 10-29-2016 09:43 PM

Duh? In game 7 you get one for every run you score too.

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 09:45 PM

Yeah, I thought whenever you took a lead in the series you had one.

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 09:51 PM

Fav part of the champagne parties are the ass hat employees of the team who have nothing to do with the game but find themselves in the clubhouse for the party and just kinda stand around smiling in their khakis with ill-fitting team apparel on over their business casual colored shirt.

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 09:52 PM

Here's management's favorite pet, Chris Coghlan. Why is he here and not Tommy La Stella or another pitcher? Fn redundant.

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 09:57 PM

This sucks. At least it isn't another round of God Bless America.

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 10:00 PM

Pretty sure RP went into a death pact with some Craigslist girl he met if the Cubs lose.

Ruien 10-29-2016 10:11 PM

How deep is the Cubs relief pitchers?

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 10:14 PM

Chapman, Strop and Monty are trustworthy at this time. Rondon usually is but isn't now. Grimm had gone up and down but is up right now. Travis wood would be a situational lefty right now. Overall good. They made their big trades this year to strengthen the pen since that was their biggest weakness early in the year.

Ruien 10-29-2016 10:25 PM

Damn, that's a lot of relief pitchers who are good with Lackey coming out early.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-29-2016 10:26 PM

Lackey lost his cool and I think came unravelled.

Ruien 10-29-2016 10:29 PM

He only have up 2 runs though. wasn't a bad start.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-29-2016 10:35 PM

I dunno, it was one of those starts where he needed to be dominant, and instead he got rattled because of the ump. The 2 runs he gave up that weren't because of Kris Bryant were because he lost his cool. Just how I saw it.

Ruien 10-29-2016 10:37 PM

True.

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 10:39 PM

Ballgame, Maggle

Ruien 10-29-2016 10:39 PM

Oh my. I know the Cubs have the biking to rally but this one seems over. Feel bad for everyone who spent like 5k per ticket to be at the game.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-29-2016 10:40 PM

This turned into an old fashioned shit kicking.

Ruien 10-29-2016 10:41 PM

Tomorrow should be an easy game for the Cubs at least.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-29-2016 10:51 PM

First there was baseball... then there was Lonnie Chisenall

I'm not :)

Ruien 10-29-2016 10:58 PM

Maybe it is Becsuse I don't know much about baseball but why does everyone seem to hate the announcers? Specifically Joe Buck. HE seems fine to me.

Frank Drebin 10-29-2016 11:00 PM

He gets a hard on for certain things and players. He's smarmy and doesn't add much insight to the broadcast. Basically he's the perfect announcer for a national audience.

Ol Dirty Dastard 10-29-2016 11:06 PM

He just comes across as a wang. There's something inherently inauthentic and disingenuous about him.

He also almost lost his job due to a hair plug addiction with is LOLerific.

And I'm sticking with the Indians since they beat the Red Sox and Jays. Indians win in 5 (and thus in Chicago)

Gonna be right again lol

Ruien 10-29-2016 11:21 PM

Well, I like these guys better than the White Sox guys.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-29-2016 11:22 PM

Major League was a better movie than Rookie of the Year.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-29-2016 11:23 PM

Cleveland...the city of champions...sounds wrong. Cubs gotta do something fast.

RaginRonic 10-29-2016 11:29 PM

#FUCKOFFCLEVELAND

Evil Vito 10-29-2016 11:33 PM

Poor Cubs :(

I do think they'll win tomorrow with Lester on the hill to send Wrigley home happy...but winning three straight against this Cleveland pitching is going to be quite some challenge.
