Stupid how players run back any kickoffs any more... seems like it takes an insane effort to get it back to the 20, most times they get stopped at the 12
Oakland gets annihilated 52-0.
Gonna feel really bad for whoever goes #1 in the draft next season. |
:-\ Pats lost. Game was really good though.
Was hoping the Pats defense would have been a lot better against Rodgers but instead he was way too great. Phil Simms might be the biggest on-air jinx in the NFL. Whenever he praises something good about the Pats (ex. Pats great at man-to-man), something bad occurs afterwards almost every time (ex. Pack scoring right before the half against man-to-man coverage). |

Phil Simms kept talking about the "sinner" they drafted and how he was a "true sinner"
The Chiefs should rethink the Eva Marie all red everything uniform choice
Droford, make a comment about your favorite team losing.

That's reason enough to keep him tbh. Next year can continue the every 4 years plan. :)

This Anderson guy can play.
Sigh. Browns being predictable. Hoyer will now get a "last chance", then they'll milk the Johnny Football cash cow into the next season... and the team will still be mediocre. Then, they'll draft the next hot young QB savior the following year, and Manziel will have to look over his shoulder... and that isn't even taking into account the possibility of a new head coach, since they kinda breeze through those as an organization as well.
They squander any talent they get in the position by always getting a young lion to nip at the heels and aquiese to fan wishes for immediate change, instead of just saying "this is our guy- deal with it" and building to the future without creating their own damn drama. In perspective: Matt Ryan has started for Atlanta since drafted in 08 in the wake of that whole Michael Vick thing. In that same time span, Cleveland has shifted to 11 (well, now 12) different starters. A dozen QBs in six years. Can't build confidence and improve ability in the space of a cup of coffee, and the team can't become "better" overnight. Can't keep their head in the game if they constantly have to fear the next guy coming in to take their job. And I don't even want to discuss the trainwreck my 49ers have become... tis a dark time for my pro football fandom. At least my college team beat "that team up north". |
I don't know where this C.J. Anderson guy came from, but let's keep him around.
Droford's right about the Chefs uniforms. All that red in HD made my eyes hurt. |
Alex Smith being a starting QB in the NFL makes my eyes hurt. Too conservative. I want Denver v.s. Green Bay in the SuperBowl
come on Nick Folk.......
YES The Fins won. Now only a quarter of the season left to screw things up.
Bills not gonna play in Toronto anymore

Yeah, it's not original. I'm not hear to shock anyone. Fuck off. |
Also, I think Dallas will go 11-5 and miss the playoffs.
10-6 is more likely.
Win Loss Loss Win. You need a few Seattle Divisional losses in case the 3 way tie continues. |
It's amazing how ESPN and talking heads all talk about how QB play without mentioning the o-line.
Yeah I'm having a really hard time seeing Green Bay not representing the NFC, especially if they lock up homefield. Yeah their season ended in Lambeau 2 of the last 3 years but they do seem to be a different team at home...and moreover Rodgers is playing out of his mind right now. He isn't getting sacked every other play as he was the last couple of years. You give Rodgers any sort of time and he's going to find an open receiver like 97% of the time.
Haloti Ngata out 4 games for PED. Well, shit
He can at least come back when they make the playoffs unlike the situation with Chris Davis for the same thing with the Orioles. Might actually be a good thing.
If they make the playoffs. Basically need to win out now. I can't handle this stress.
I messed around with the playoff machine and theyre pretty much in if they go 3-1 or better. They can even still win the division given that the Bengals still plays Denver and Pittsburgh twice.
Droford locking the Ravens into the playoffs. It's a wrap.
Droford also said the Ravens would win 12 games.
Droford says a lot of things.
Very nervous about the Miami game. I know they barely beat the Jets, but they also demolished the Chargers. Gdammit

I really hope Miami ends up pulling it out this week against Baltimore. I know the Ravens aren't technically a Rival, but the two clubs have so much history, well atleast when it comes to Big Games for Miami.
Miami hasn't beaten the Ravens since my 23 Birthday, which was a somewhat big game for Miami (They defeated the Ravens to win their only game of that Season) Plus the last two times The Fins have made the Playoffs, They have been kicked out at Home by Baltimore (2000 and 2009) Miami needs to end that dought against the Ravens. Barring a New England loss, which I don't see happening, This might be the biggest game left on Miami schedule. Of course a Miami win and New England loss would put possible control of the AFC East up for grabs in Foxsboro. Even then, I don't seeing the Patriots dropping 3 in a row. Honestly don't see them dropping any between now and when they ultimately play Denver again in the Playoffs |
Cool, nice to see a Dolphins fan here (for variety) since Spilchuk is MIA... ha ha get it
(Missing In Action + "MIA" is the abbreviated Miami letters)
Look at you making a funny
Saw a crazy stat today. Only 5 players on the current Packers roster played for other teams. So literally their entire roster beyond those 5 guys were either drafted by the team or signed as undrafted rookies. That's pretty damn impressive.
I genuinely hate the fade route
Hoyer looking really bad right now.
Billy Cundiff. Jesus.
This week for a "larf" I picked the Bucs +9.5 in our office pool, but even now I feel dirty about it. I really hope Lions win by 20 or more
Ike Taylor and Mike Mitchell should not be allowed to play Football ever again.
WAS down 24-0 vs STL Rams in the 4th quarter... will we see R.G. Third
http://i.imgur.com/mrJK2bW.gif |
lol Saints. Holy shit.
Seems like Carolina beating New Orleans 41-3 with 7 1/2 minutes to go would be a good reason for Drew Brees to not be in the game right now. I dunno...
Le'veon Bell is a special player. My goodness.
Hey the Ravens won :)
No team in the entire league has more wins than the Cowboys and it still might not be enough to keep them from being on the outside looking in in the playoff race at the end of the day. Crazy. They could literally have the best record in football and not be a playoff team "if the playoffs started today".
One of the most frustrating things is when a 5.5 point underdog kicks a field goal at the last second then loses by a touchdown in overtime.
How do the Steelers have the playoff spot over the Ravens since they split head to head? Don't know how tiebreakers work.
Conference record probably.
Yeah. Baltimore is 4-5 in the conference, Pittsburgh is 7-3. So if it comes down to the two of them for the final spot, Baltimore is fucked.

I hate Russell Wilson and his constant running.

Well the Giants may not be good but at least the Titans are a billion times worse.
The Rams sent out 6 players for the coin toss in the Redskins game today: Michael Brockers, Janoris Jenkins, Alec Ogletree, Stedman Bailey, Zac Stacy, and Greg Robinson. AKA all of the players acquired as a result of the RGIII trade.
A++ level trolling. |

I don't think I can defend Kap anymore
Does that mean you would rather have Alex Smith?
Can I have more than two options?
wide receivers wearing the numbers 10-19 is still weird to me
dunno |
I agree with Ossman.
The Chargers have the Patriots number. They always play them tight. |

Steelers play the Bengals in Pittsburgh week 17 when the Ravens play the Browns so they could both end up 3-3. The Conference record is 7-3 vs 4-5, however the Ravens last 3 games (jags,Texans, browns) are all conference. Steelers play the Chiefs in addition to the Bengals. Dont really see how that could be tied and matter, if the Ravens win out to get 7 conference wins they'd finish w/ better record if Steelers lose their 2 conference games. The way I see it, the Ravens are winning out to go to 11-5. Steelers will probably win their next two to be 10-5 going into week 17 vs Bengals. Bengals will lose to the Broncos in two weeks, so they have to beat the Browns next week to stay in it. If they win they'll be 9-5-1 going into the Steeler game. So Ravens would win the division if the Bengals win and the Bengals would be ahead of the Steelers for wild card purposes. if the Steelers win they win the division and the Ravens are ahead of the Bengals for wild cards. If the Bengals lose their next two then they have like no chance of making the playoffs no matter what they do vs the Steelers. Interesting note is that most scenarios I have checked out have the two AFC north teams being 4/5 seeds provided the Chargers lose tonight. A chargers win puts them in the drivers seat for the #5 seed wild card even with a broncos game upcoming. The 49ers game looks less daunting now as well as the chiefs. |
:y: Pats won.

I wouldn't mind Green Bay giving a game or two away to rest some dudes for the playoffs, but Detroit is knocking on our door. Atlanta is a weird team, they are showing signs of life, but we'll see. Jon Gruden will bless your screens tonight, Grinders
Next week against TB would be a good time to rest some bros. If TB is smart they will tank out the season to ensure a #1 pick for a QB
Mariota seems to be nearly a 100% lock for the top pick at this point. The Titans or Bucs would take him in a heartbeat, certainly.
If the Raiders or Jags wound up with the top pick, they'd probably trade down just because Mariota would have enough value for teams to give up 2 first rounders. Depending on how it shakes out you could even see something like, say, the Titans trading up from #3 to #1, leapfrogging the Bucs at #2. |
Yeah. have a gut feeling Mariotta will be a Jet.
Suck for a duck

Matt Bryant's pic on NFL.com looks like the bastard child between Steve Austin and CM Punk

loooked a lot funnier when smaller, whatever Atlanta sucks asshole
The playoff bound Atlanta Falcons.
I'd say the Panthers could win it but no NFC south team has ever repeated so that's going against them.
Plus they'll probably go back to looking like crap after destroying the Saints |
Bills might have their first winning season since whenever. They just have to beat 2 out of 3: Packers, Raiders and Patriots.
Unless the Pats lock up homefield before week 17 I don't see it happening
Cam Newton involved in a car accident and is on his way to the hospital in an ambulance.
Turnovers on and off the field
Yay, I hope he is okay, but then again, I hope Derek Anderson plays. He's looked amazing in the limited action he has had this season. Granted it was against the Bucs

Well he doesn't seem to be in much pain at least. |
Yeah, he's absolutely fine which is why a joke can be made about it.
I think Dumervil will break the sack record. He needs 6.5 sacks last 3 games and he could get most of that on Bortles this Sunday
This figures to be the first week of seeing playoff spots clinched around the league. The Cardinals have all but clinched a spot, as long as Dallas and Philly don't tie this weekend - they are in.
The Packers are in with a win and Dallas loss. Broncos, Patriots, and Colts all clinch their respective divisions with wins. Actually Denver and New England could lock up the first round byes if the Colts, Bengals, and Steelers all lose. |
to job to the Bengals.
We beat the bengals with brian hoyer 24-3. I'm guessing idk Browns win this game 30-10
3 points eh? Like the 3% chance the Browns have of making the playoffs? Haw-haw!
