Fucking National Training Guard Place. Seems like I've been there clearing Ghouls like 30 times.

Who the fuck keeps fixing all of the turrets?!

drave 12-16-2015 04:41 PM

Good legendary farming there.

Why does my character look like a mouth breathing mongoloid in the Status page on the pipboy? He has his eyes closed and is smiling with his tongue hanging out

Kris P Lettus 12-19-2015 01:41 PM

I was addicted to alcohol

Shadow 12-19-2015 05:43 PM

Because well....reasons.

Heisenberg 12-21-2015 08:50 AM

So many baseball bat inspired videos going around tempting me to roll the Home Run perk. Should make melee more enjoyable

Heisenberg 12-21-2015 08:54 AM

Found a cellar in the back of one of the houses in Sanctuary. Thinking about moving all my personal belongings there and not sharing them with the settlers. Starting to wonder if they really appreciate all the amenities I've provided. Basketball court, radio, TV, Cable, turrets and Nuka Cola machines. I have more beds than settlers and one of them popped off about the bed situation not being up to snuff.

drave 12-21-2015 09:45 AM

Put Marcy in the cellar and give her some lotion. That'll teach that bitch to keep moaning.

It must keep the skin soft...

Heisenberg 12-21-2015 09:49 AM

can you move her there? If she wasn't running my Weapon store I would do that in a heartbeat

drave 12-21-2015 10:46 AM

I dunno, put something assignable down there if there is room.

Or you could just shoot her and dump the body down there. Could be a post-war morgue w/o refrigeration.

drave 12-21-2015 10:46 AM

Totes don't have stores b/c my dude doesn't have enough charisma. Just a killing machine with no time for settlements.

Heisenberg 12-21-2015 11:39 AM

The only reason I'm keeping the Institute, Railroad and Minutemen alive are for their recurring quests.

drave 12-21-2015 11:57 AM

I did the Railroad just enough to get the fiber you can use to upgrade your "under" armor (Fatigues, suits, etc.) then killed them in their own home.

Have barely done piss with the Minutemen, don't even know what this "castle" is everyone speaks of...... yet.

Heisenberg 12-21-2015 11:59 AM

oh! You'll love the Castle, you can send Preston there and he won't be able to disseminate quests onto you when you're trying to relax at your Sanctuary

drave 12-21-2015 01:17 PM

Hell yea!

Can't stand Preston with his whiney "BUT YOU GOTTA DO IT FOR THE COMMONWEALTH" pushing his agenda on me and stuff.

Eff that guy.

Heisenberg 12-21-2015 04:40 PM

drave, you just need to lay some mines down, install a Bell that summons everyone, lay some more mines in a line to where you'll stand, ring the bell and run back to your spot, shoot the nearest mine in the line and watch the explosion line do the rest. Mad funny, saving beforehand optional

drave 12-21-2015 10:02 PM

that sounds effing amazing,

Did you know they brought back the cow level in d3?

Heisenberg 12-22-2015 08:36 AM

they didn't get rid of the rainbow stuff did they?

drave 12-22-2015 08:39 AM

Whimseyshire is still in, yeah.

Not The Cow Level is fecking amazing though. Gotta fight the Cow Queen (who is ofc multishot lightning enchant from the good ole days of D II) and there are a SHIT TON of chests/resplendents.

Super fun, LOTS of exp too. You have to have The Bovine Bardiche Legendary Poleaxe, take it to the cube and use it.

Sepholio 12-22-2015 01:06 PM

Is it bad that I have literally linked up every settlement in the game, built them up pretty well, given them all unique purposes, and basically saved society? It must be bad because no one is thanking me and all they can do is bitch. Oh well, just keep making me masses of adhesive. Slaves.

Protip btw, when you find the murkwater construction site workshop way down south on the map, I would never alert settlers to it. Constant Mirelurk Queen spawnage. I just built like 6 Industrial water purifiers, powered them up, rode out and set up a supply line. Water for the entire commonwealth.

Sepholio 12-22-2015 01:11 PM

Built an 'orbital' drop station for my best armor suit. Went to the drive in and proceeded to build up as high as possible. Don't know where else I could build higher. Made it appear to be just an extended screen by using metal walls. But inside the top floor is the ultra god mode armor and I can run out and jump into the bustling town below and scare the shit out of all the peons.

drave 12-22-2015 01:20 PM

But did you build a livable AT-AT walker?

drave 12-22-2015 01:20 PM

2 days in (and really haven't gotten to sit down and play as much as I was planning on this weekend) but I think I might already need to start over. Really have no clue what I'm doing at all.

Can't even clear out the raiders in the Corvega factory because I run out of ammo almost immediately. :o Doesn't help that I got mauled by a group of 5 or 6 feral ghouls just outside the factory, not to mention all of the mutated animals that assault me.

I've been raiding every corpse for ammo too so I dunno how I'm running out so fast. Don't think I've missed any other chances to stock up.

That'll be good for me. :y: I played Fallout 3 but that was a few years ago and had a billion games I was playing at the same time, so I never got totally immersed.

I'm all in on Fallout 4 to keep me entertained from a video game standpoint for the forseeable future.

Kris P Lettus 12-29-2015 10:38 AM

Dude beat FO4 with ZERO kills

http://kotaku.com/guy-beats-fallout-...rea-1749882569

Dunno whether that's impressive or sad

The Rogerer 12-29-2015 10:44 AM

This has always been a goal in Fallout games. I think you've always had to kill someone, and it's a technicality, but it's interesting that they still don't make it a formal path.

The article makes it out like it could be done easily in New Vegas.

I wouldn't know because like Heisenberg, I like to shoot people in the face.

I've only ever truly "run out of" ammo once. Twice if you count me depleting my *preferred* (at the time) ammunition. And it is worth noting I don't have the Luck perk for finding extra.

Early game, a key is hitting up vendors- sell shit ammo you're not using and buy what you are. If you're running around getting heavy use with, say, a 10mm pistol, don't hoard those 5.56 or .38 you're not using... sell those and buy more 10 rounds. Or heck, if worst comes to worsr, skim .38 rounds from pretty much EVERY settler, because almost all of them default carry a regular puny unmodded pipe pistol. You don't neccessarily need one of every gun in your bag. Unless you're toting nothing but automatic weapons and never using VATS ever, ammo isn't super hard to come by.

Kris P Lettus 12-29-2015 03:26 PM

Def get the perks for finding more caps and ammo as early as possible

Tom Guycott 12-30-2015 10:34 AM

I never felt justified for taking it. There was always a "better" perk that suited my needs, and it was always a "I'll get it next time" perk that I still never needed "next time". Then, after the caps started rolling into my settlements, that procrastination became apathy. Part of that was due to trying super hard for that 100% happiness achievement , so I dropped points in Charisma that I definitely would have used elsewhere. Possibly even those two perks.

Kris P Lettus 12-30-2015 10:59 AM

I usually start high in charisma and sneak, then slowly build up gun stuff. But the caps/ammo perk helps around level 10.

Never put a single point into charisma. Makes evolving settlements kinda hard, but w/e. I'll do that more with my 2nd playthrough. Going to make a badass melee lady who hits things. Would like to see a suplex/wrasslin mod for throws in the future.

road doggy dogg 12-31-2015 05:22 PM

Feels like there's a lot less Charisma checks in conversation in 4. Really just need to get 6 for the Supply Lines perk then otherwise ignore the stat IMO

Wishbone 01-01-2016 07:56 PM

Outside the 6 for supply lines Charisma is really just a roleplay stat. If you're not into that sort of thing and just want to fuck around with the game and try to complete everything you're honestly better without it. Me though? I like being able to hold raiders up at gunpoint and then mercilessly force them to gun down their own friends only to walk up to them after they've killed everyone they know and love and splatter their brains all of the pavement so they can meet them in hell.
