Apparently their lead-in was about 1.5 million people. Ouch.

Wait, they had a 2 million viewer lead-in. 1.5 million is closer to what they lost.
|
|
That seems like a very high number for them?

The real win is that the outside of the wrestling bubble audience didn't shit all over the show, unlike what happened Wednesday. |
Lmao Smackdown had more viewers in one night than AEW has had in the entire month of December
|
Quote:
That is of course Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer logic  |
AEW wins again. Holy shit. That’s awesome.
|
Change the fucking title, pussies. SmackDown dominates all.
Losing 1.5 million viewers seems pretty bad, but AEW lost 1.25 million with their smaller subsection. Ah, who am I kidding? The cowards here won’t admit that SmackDown did well and AEW shat the bed. |
Shirtless Roman Reigns draws more than a senior citizen in facepaint and a bloated alcoholic having a mid-life crisis. Big surprise.

Quadrupled the ratings, and MORE than 4 times better.
WWE wins again! Guess that Impact crossover isn't the draw T Khan thought it was  |
Imagine thinking AEW was the hot ticket.

They’ll take it that way. They didn’t like it when I didn’t like Alexa Bliss as a wrestler.

Lolllllllll
|
AEW will be seen as TNA 2.0 in the future and no one will look twice at criticizing it. Right now? Wahhh.
|
This whole thread is "The shitty company I tolerate, is better than the shitty company you tolerate"
although I'm not sure if anyone here watches either show and just waits for the ratings to come out. |
During the Grilling JR Podcast, Jim Ross gave his thoughts about what WWE's issues are with their product and why the ratings have been down. Ross noted one issue that the company has with their television product.
"They don't have anybody hot," Ross said. "They have nobody that has momentum. Nobody is on the proverbial roll. You can't start, stop, 50-50 booking, I'll beat you with a small package and then you beat me up; how do you get any [momentum]? 'He did the job so I have to give him something back,' what? Bulls--t. Not tonight, not now, it makes no sense." Also, AEW standings for wrestlers with at least 5 matches in 2020: Wrestler M W W% L L% D D% Jon Moxley 23 22 95.7 1 4.3 0 0.0 Austin Gunn 16 15 93.8 1 6.3 0 0.0 Allie 9 8 88.9 1 11.1 0 0.0 Hikaru Shida 29 25 86.2 4 13.8 0 0.0 Abadon 7 6 85.7 1 14.3 0 0.0 MJF 20 17 85.0 3 15.0 0 0.0 Kenny Omega 32 27 84.4 5 15.6 0 0.0 Brian Cage 17 14 82.4 3 17.6 0 0.0 Lance Archer 17 14 82.4 3 17.6 0 0.0 Cody 28 23 82.1 4 14.3 1 3.6 Cash Wheeler 16 13 81.3 3 18.8 0 0.0 Dax Harwood 16 13 81.3 3 18.8 0 0.0 Nyla Rose 21 17 81.0 4 19.0 0 0.0 Miro 5 4 80.0 1 20.0 0 0.0 14 with a winning percent of at least 80%. So NOT 50/50 Booking. That must be why AEW is CRUSHING in the ratings, right Jim Ross??? He is a so full of shit. |
This is where your “analysis” falls down.
He’s talking about an established brand (WWE) with established “stars” that nobody gives a shit about anymore and he’s suggesting one of the reasons why (by no means the only). You’re comparing it to a company that’s been in existence just over a year, that has very little in the way of established “stars”, that nobody gives a shit about. AEW are trying to establish stars using wins and losses. You can contest that they’re failing. Take out the guys that have their wins on Dark (Gunn, Allie, Abadon?) and you’ve pretty much got their top guys. |
He’s not saying “Do this and you’ll smash it in the ratings”.
Here’s a guy that comes to mind; Daniel Bryan. First guy to throw his hat into the Rumble and “next inline to face Reigns” literally has a 50/50 win/loss record in 2020 (according to cagematch) and has a 2/2 in singles matches since returning in October. That’s not to say he won’t start building momentum. |

Meanwhile AEW pushed the "wins and losses matter" from the very start, but somehow they have worse ratings?? If WWE's ratings are bad because of 50/50 booking, and AEW doesn't do that, what is the reason for lower ratings from Dynamite? So even with the correct booking, AEW sucks so much they can't even draw what bad booking WWE does. Great logic from JR as always :?: |
Jericho posted a picture of him sucking in his gut and tagged it “#FatJericho @nba” before deleting it. His ego has been hurt.
|
Thought I was in the Obsolete Wrestling thread. My bad. Fans’ inability to accept that WWE did something better than AEW is exactly why a lot of people hate that fucking fan-base. Look at the title of this thread now. Look at how the fans reacted when Dylan Bostic confirmed stories about him not getting paid.

Raw goes a little up. Therefore, it’s reasonable to expect that AEW climbs a little bit too (even though it won’t beat Raw). Because this is how things go.

Look at these dude's editing my posts again. You are exactly why I want AEW to go out of business, because I'll be most happy knowing you are crying in your basements, and you can't edit that away! FYI, what I said was Raw still beats Dynamite! |
AEW died before it was even born.

Just because you’re a balanced poster doesn’t mean others are.
Look at BigCrippyZ for example. |
I mean “JR doesn’t post here so my ‘BUT AEW...’ is acceptable.” is pretty weird but for the sake of focusing on the main issue I’ll just nod and agree on that one.

"haha YES!!!! Raw lost a 3rd of their audience in 3 years we are so Elite!!! CELEBRATION!!!!" which was the wanted response, and instead all I said was "still higher than Dynamite's ratings". The fact that one simple sentence pissed somebody off enough that they went and edited my post has nothing to do with JR's stupid comments. At least remember which of my comments you were arguing with. Separate posts, JR is an ahole. Point 1 Other point, I purposely made a but AEW post on a very basic thing, and got edited after like 10 minutes because people are fragile. |
I was originally arguing both points, genius. You decided to respond to the JR one because you figured out some weird excuse of JR not posting here but couldn’t think of an excuse for the other one that didn’t out you as a hypocrite. So I came back to that second one.
So let’s just say “Fuck JR” for now. Pretend I agree. Quote:

So are you “just proving a point” every time you shoehorn AEW into a WWE conversation?

Tell the owner of the site to make an AEW only site, and I won't bring up WWE there. |

I’ll take that defensive response as a “no” though. |

whyyyy does any of this matter????? xrod, noid...it's a new year. go fucking run around the block or something..cardio!

There is literally 0 AEW total "fan boys" here outside of the last thread that was dedicated to Brodie jr.
I've called out the product and everyone I've seen post in the Dynamite threads do as well. |
Quote:
See what I mean when I point out your horrible reading comprehension and how it prevents you from having a rational conversation? You can’t ignore it by crying foul because I used NAUGHTY WORDS or called you names. Though that’s likely the next step because if you’re unable or unwilling to have that honest, civil dialogue you claim to want then I’m at least gonna have some fun with your posts, gosh darnit. |
I’m getting to be an old softy. I got a much better response when I was just fucking with xrod, tricking him into admitting he was reading my posts and defeating him via forfeit in real fights. I went all soft and gave him another chance when everyone else had long given up. It seems to have bitten me in the ass.

Early numbers coming out that AEW drew 977,000 fans and NXT drew 585,000
Lmao Khan couldn't even milk a wrestlers death to break a million |
AEW>WWE.

Only a blind loser living in their moms basement watches nxt and thinks it any good.

Name me a single star NXT has created?

Exactly. None. Bunch of jobbers who will be lucky if they maybe make it as a middle of the card tag team wrestler.

LOL What?!? Your words were am I proving a point, which no, because I don't shove AEW into every conversation about WWE. I in fact very rarely do, as I did above was more of a one off if anything. Accuse me of shoving WWE into conversations about AEW at least, that happens pretty much every time because somebody else brings up WWE outta nowhere! FYI, it's what got me banned, pointing out EVERY TIME WWE was brought up in a Dynamite thread. |

They both started in FCW
Most of WWE's big talent started in FCW, PWG, ROH or Japan/UK. They don't have a lot of homegrown talent. |
Braun is probably the most successful person from NXT.

I like how the video is literally a guy watching WWE and xrod somehow labels him as a representation of “the vocal AEW fan base”.
Seriously, if Droford ever comes back we need to hook these two up in a debate about something. Anything. |
xrod mentioned the Ravens one time. That's enough for Droford.

I’d be willing to bet that guy still watches WWE. Whatever helps you shoehorn AEW into a conversation though.
Have you met my friend Droford? |
Good week in the demos for the Brodie Lee tribute for anyone curious. I wouldn't read too much into this week though since it was a tribute episode, but they might have convinced a few people to come back this week.
