Destor 01-26-2008 12:45 PM

He's still had a fight though, that's all I was sayng. As for the main event thing, Lesnar is currently one of the top stars the UFC has, and he hasn't even debuted yet. People will buy this JUST to see him fight. This is about marketing and buy rates, not dues.

To put it simply, if he gets laid out in his first fight they wil never lke have a chance to make money off him again, it's now or never.

Not to mention, ITS THE FIGHT THE MAJORITY IS THE MOST INTERESTED IN ON THAT CARD. If that doesn't make you main event material what does.

Reavant 01-26-2008 01:25 PM

i hope brock dominates most of the fight and mir gets him in a tricky sub.... at least that way its not a bad loss for brock and mir is back in the picture

Rob 01-26-2008 05:01 PM

If Brock loses, he lost to a former UFC champion. Not some bum. If he wins, sky is the limit.

Reavant 01-26-2008 08:14 PM

if he gets dominated tho it will look bad.... if he gets caught in a sub he still could do whatever he wants

Crimson 01-26-2008 08:23 PM

His nickname HAS to be the Next big thing..it could fit him well in UFC too.

And if he busts Mir wide open he HAS to smear his blood on his chest, ala Hogan.

Destor 01-26-2008 08:25 PM

The Judge would work well for Lesnar

Jordan 01-27-2008 11:26 AM

It doesn't matter. He is already a star, why waste millions on an easy fight?

Crimson 01-27-2008 01:11 PM

No easy fight my friend. read what Destor said up top.

Kris P Lettus 01-27-2008 07:21 PM

Some UFC guys are gonna be on some "Fight Science" show on National Geographic tonight..

FYI

Kris P Lettus 01-27-2008 08:59 PM

It was Couture, Tito, Dean Lister, and the greatest fighter of all time "El Guapo" Bas Rutten (and some guy who played sparing parter/punching bag who I didn't know).. It was f'n sweet.. They tested how hard they hit, slammed, choked, etc.. They also went on and on about how "UFC" (they kept naming it) had taken so many steps to making fighting safe.. It was a good show for the sport, too bad prolly not alot of people saw it..

I wish Bill O'Reilly saw it..

It wouldn't register in his little pea brain.

Reavant 01-27-2008 10:06 PM

he would have bitched about how the dummy wasnt treated fairly

Rob 01-31-2008 09:37 AM

The closer it gets, the more convinced I am that Lesnar is gonna kill this fucker. But I also have an image of Mir knocking him out. Hardest fight to call in a long time purely because of Lesnar's inexperience.

Kris P Lettus 01-31-2008 09:51 AM

Lesnar will be able to take him down, even Mir said it on the Countdown to UFC 81 thing that was on last night.. Mir seems to think that his Jujitsu will get him the win even on the ground, but I think Lesnar will be able to overpower Mir and pretty much do whatever he wants to him the entire fight..

Also Nog>Sylvia..

Everytime Tim Sylvia wins a fight, a kitten dies

Crimson 01-31-2008 08:47 PM

Sylvia has no game with the ladies.

Rob 02-02-2008 01:20 AM

He has fucked women wearing the UFC heavyweight title. I have no problem with this.

RP 02-02-2008 10:35 PM

I think Lesnar will beat the living shit out of Mirs face and end this fight in about 55 seconds.

SammyG 02-03-2008 05:03 AM

lol good call

Rob 02-03-2008 05:08 AM

Fair play on the call but you gotta admit that Mir should be blowing Steve Mazzagatti for saving his life.

Jamstar 02-03-2008 08:44 AM

RP 02-03-2008 08:45 AM

Jamstar 02-03-2008 09:04 AM

you were close except for the textbook kneebar. Was choreographed and everything

Kris P Lettus 02-03-2008 12:04 PM

Good call Reav..

Lesnar looked really good but got way too over confident.. If he had slowed it down he would have won I think..

WTF Lesnar is married to Sable??

Who won Nog Vs Big Slow??

in typical nog fasion... he got beat the fuck out of and pulled a submission

Crimson 02-03-2008 12:19 PM

Yea Brock shoulda got a warning instead of a point deductoon right away. Pretty funny how a bunch of WWE guys were there..they shoulda done a run in when Brock was in the leglock.

McLegend 02-03-2008 01:09 PM

Brock will be heavyweight Champion within 2 years

Innovator 02-03-2008 01:31 PM

Can Big John come back to reffing? Just main events

Vastardikai 02-03-2008 02:30 PM

Also, David Heath getting slammed on his head from the Thai Clinch by a complete Unknown = LOL.

Destor 02-03-2008 10:40 PM

bouch was on fire

Reavant 02-03-2008 10:49 PM

he threw him with an underhook not a thai clinch

Vastardikai 02-03-2008 11:21 PM

Now that I look at it, yeah it was more of a hip toss than a thai clinch.

but still, how did Heath land on his HEAD from that position?

Reavant 02-04-2008 12:45 AM

he was clearly out cold on his feet and his body was just following its muscle memory by basing back up after he hit the ground. I mean the guy just let himself get nailed with knee after knee to the head right before that.

Stickman 02-04-2008 01:27 PM

Lesner looked good but got caught.

Reavant 02-04-2008 10:56 PM

Welp I called it again... ok I was told by him... but its official on ufc.com now for you guys to check it out... andrei is on the undercard

Crimson 02-04-2008 11:37 PM
