Denver still has insane amounts of work to do on run stopping and stopping the other team on 3rd down. They got lucky with those things the first two games.

And WTF is with using all 3 timeouts in the 3rd quarter, and also going for it on 4th down on Jacksonville's 9? Stupid.

IC Champion 09-23-2007 08:05 PM

NOOO CINCI LOST!!!

Losing Ekuban was a big loss for that. Hopefully, we'll get better. If we can survive the gauntlet coming up, and if San Diego keeps up the lousy playing, we got a shot at the west this year.

Speaking of San Diego. Wonder what is going through The Schott's head seeing and hearing what the hell happened to this powerhouse of a team he had?

Skippord 09-23-2007 08:31 PM

fucking brtl game

Skippord 09-23-2007 08:31 PM

good thing everyone else in the West totally sucks

Team Sheep 09-23-2007 08:31 PM

Ooof what a game with Skins/Giants.

What I don't get is, the Redskins were 1st and goal at the 2 with like just under a minute left. They spiked the ball on first down. Why? You don't know for sure that you're going to run out of time from the first down, especially with nearly a minute left at the 2. Plenty of time. They should have played down 1 and 2, then if necessary spike it on 3rd. On that occasion it wasn't necessary, so they just automatically gave up a down straight away which they would have actually had enough time to use.

Jets 1-2 :D Season starts todaaaay.

Thrilled with the way the D played 2nd half. Now if they can just play that way all the time...

Hanso Amore 09-23-2007 10:39 PM

The hits just keep coming. 4 starters already injured and on the IR, one player almost killed and paralyzed, and now the Bills lost their starting QB (mp big deal, JP is killing me lately......) and also Pozluszny Broke his arm. He was in the top 5 in tackles in the league and really was a lone bright spot on this poor team. I thought Lynch and Poz could make runs for Offensive and Defensive rookie of the years. Looks like Poz wont do that now, and Adrian Peterson is going to have that on LOCKDOWN.

NERFS NFL WEEK 3 NOTES
-Jets get off the schnideeeeeeeeeeee. Not to happy about our run defense though. I watched a lil' of the Bills game and Marshawn Lynch runs really hard for his size, he is going to fucking murder the Jets next week.

-Eagles unis may be the most god awful things I have ever seen. I am all for throwback/retro jerseys but those sseriously made me sick

-It is a fine day to own Brian Westbrook in Fantasy Football  Now time to deal him before he gets hurt

-(lol the Lambs :o )

-And people laughed when I had the Packers in the playoffs

-I was really really right about Larry Johnson so far this year

- I was really really really wrong about Randy Moss so far this year :(

SammyG 09-23-2007 10:58 PM

:( :( :( Football is gay.

RP 09-23-2007 11:34 PM

Yep i was wrong about Moss also. I'm glad tho. I want the Patriots clicking on all cylinders when they come to Indy.

About this Chicago vs Dallas game, i'm 100% positive that before this game is over, John Madden will wobble down to the 50 yard line and suck Tony Romo off during a timeout.

Good luck next week.

Savio 09-24-2007 12:15 AM

Jerichoholic 09-24-2007 12:45 AM

Oops, let me correct that. *OUR OWN 9

Fucking Graham dropping a perfect pass

Crimson 09-24-2007 01:02 AM

COWBOYS

Skippord 09-24-2007 02:13 AM

lol at Rex Grossman's unbelieveable terribleness

Jerichoholic 09-24-2007 03:37 AM

Honestly, even as a cowboys fan, I really wanted the game to just end after the Returned touchdown from Anthony Henry. I felt real bad for Grossman.

Mr. Monday Morning 09-24-2007 05:19 AM

There are uncorroborated rumors making the rounds that Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall was beat up, presumably by one or more teammates, following a Falcons loss that was fueled in part by Hall's inability to control his emotions.

After being flagged for a total of 37 yards on a second-half drive that the Panthers used to tie the game, Hall got into a sideline confrontation with coach Bobby Petrino.

Jerichoholic 09-24-2007 05:39 AM

Hall is an overrated DB. In both senses.

DrA 09-24-2007 05:49 AM

I fell asleep during the first quarter of the Cowboys game. However, waking up eight hours later, I am most pleased by the results.

I don't disagree with you. This guy has blossomed into his own as of late.

SammyG 09-24-2007 12:07 PM

I love Dallas Clark. Best TE in the league indeed.

Crimson 09-24-2007 12:12 PM

He isn't the best..it's just cuz he plays with Manning. Winslow is better.

#1-norm-fan 09-24-2007 03:04 PM

Umm... Witten... hello.

Winslow is nowhere near better  . But it does help that Clark has Manning throwing lasers on a rope down the middle of the field and hitting him in stride.

Crimson 09-24-2007 04:02 PM

Gates is also better

Nervous Ferret 09-24-2007 04:37 PM

Yeah how anybody could say Gates isn't the best TE in the league is beyond me

Behind him Clark, Witten, Tony Gonzalez, Vernon Davis, Chris Cooley, Todd Heap, Alge Crumpler and maybe even Winslow could make a case for #2

edit- Shockey too I guess

Kris P Lettus 09-24-2007 04:58 PM

God, we better win tonight.. Brees has to get with it..

SammyG 09-24-2007 06:47 PM

Nah, you should join us at 0-3 :(

SammyG 09-24-2007 07:06 PM

Certainly helps having probably the best QB of all time throwing to you. They make each other better by default.

Happy about the Giants victory this past weekend. I think we really needed this (well obviously) for 1. some self esteem and 2. being a tough division matchup heading into 3. a sunday night divisional matchup. I realy hope we can gain some momentum heading into next Sunday night's game against Philly.

Skippord 09-24-2007 09:45 PM

Vince Young = Amazing

Hanso Amore 09-24-2007 09:51 PM

Dallas Clark is a perfect TE for a Pass happy system with a HOF QB, so his numbers are inflated. He is still a great TE though, not downing his overall skill, but you cant judge on his numbers alone. I also dont think he is a solid enough blocker to be considered a top 5 all around. He is top 3 receiving.

Top 5 Overall?

Shockey- Best Blocker IMO and if he had a solid QB *could* catch for 1000.
Crumpler - Same, not big numbers but like a 3rd tackle.
Gonzalez - He is the measuring stick for TE's. changed the posistion back to a recieving threat.
Winslow - Super Under-rated. If he played in a nig market he would be huge.
Gates - Is helping change the posistion again.

It may be a homer pick but I put Watson in the top group... the Pats always spread the ball around and they use him to block a lot, but ability wise he's probably top 3 and if he was in a system like Indy would put up old-school Gonzalez numbers.

OssMan 09-24-2007 10:56 PM

cooley is not a good TE. shockey also sucks at blocking
