They didn't

Evil Vito 02-13-2017 08:29 AM

Fuck Brandon Phillips. If the dude had accepted the trade to the Nats last offseason, he'd have been on a winning team AND my Mets wouldn't have spent the whole season getting ass fucked by Daniel Murphy.

Evil Vito 02-15-2017 11:27 PM

The Twitter beef between Noah Syndergaard and Mr. Met is nothing short of amazing.

Lmao that's amazing hahaha.

Nicky Fives 02-16-2017 12:44 PM

Blue Jays are now Latos intolerant, signing Mat Latos to a minor league deal.

ClockShot 02-16-2017 04:06 PM

Update to the potential Marlins sale as it turns out Jeffrey Loria might be Trump's pick for Ambassador of France.

If that happens, the Kushners will not make a bid so there won't be any controversy.

Droford 02-16-2017 04:37 PM

Amusing the biggest news the Cubs have so far is the bullpens are moving off the field at Wrigley

ClockShot 02-17-2017 07:41 PM

Nick Swisher calls it a career. Gonna join FOX as an analyst.

One of the better personalities in the game.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-17-2017 11:26 PM

His wife is hot af.

Damian Rey 2.0 02-18-2017 04:45 PM

Padres sign Jered Weaver to one year, $3 million deal. If they were gonna sign a washed up ace with declining velocity, I'd have preferred Jake Peavy.

Emperor Smeat 02-18-2017 04:52 PM

Sox recently added more pitching depth after signing a deal with Mexican League pitcher Hector Velazquez

Evil Vito 02-18-2017 09:58 PM

It rarely works out to the two best teams record wise actually getting into the World Series due to the overall randomness of the playoffs - but the Cubs and Red Sox really do seem to be in a tier of their own ahead of some other really good teams.

Droford 02-18-2017 10:37 PM

Guaranteed the Red Sox will not win the AL East

By saying this you guaranteed that they will. Thanks broford.

Droford 02-18-2017 11:33 PM

No I'm not being a jinx so far this year in fact I came fairly close to predicting the score of the SB..

Damian Rey 2.0 02-19-2017 12:50 AM

Shut up Droford. You have zero objective method to even insinuate the Red Sox aren't the best team in the division. The only player on your team better the anybody on the Red Sox is future Yankee Manny Machado

Droford 02-19-2017 01:23 AM

Chris Davis .221/.332/.459 with 38 hr is better than Mitch Mooreland .238/.298/.422 with 22 hr

Damian Rey 2.0 02-19-2017 02:02 AM

I guess I'll give you that. Boston is still better.

Ol Dirty Dastard 02-19-2017 10:10 AM

wow

Ol Dirty Dastard 02-19-2017 10:11 AM

Boston wins because Chris Davis hits .221 and is better than Mitch Mooreland. Never mind the influx of Cy Young calibre pitchers in Boston's starting rotation and tremendous hitting starting line up.

Damian Rey 2.0 02-19-2017 02:47 PM

That's besides the point, Dale.

Evil Vito 02-19-2017 07:50 PM

Droford's complete inability to be objective is hilarious

Droford 02-19-2017 07:54 PM

We'll just see what happens

Droford 02-19-2017 08:08 PM

Orioles traded for Vidal Nuno from the Dodgers .

He's a former starter he started 28 games a couple years ago..

Ruien 02-19-2017 09:01 PM

He's way better than Chris Sale.

Droford 02-19-2017 11:18 PM

Apples to oranges considering he's going to be a lefty long reliever

I suppose I should just mention as well the Orioles bullpen is superior to the Red Sox bullpen.

Enjoy your awesome starters pitching only to have Francisco Abad who was so bad after they got him he wasn't on their playoff roster come in and give up the game.

Emperor Smeat 02-21-2017 01:25 PM

Nationals signed Matt Wieters to a 2 year, $21 million deal.

Evil Vito 02-21-2017 08:39 PM

Intentional walks are a thing of the past.

Now you just hit a button in the dugout and the runner automatically trots to first.

ClockShot 02-21-2017 08:40 PM

Score one more rule change for Commissioner Manfred.

screech 02-21-2017 08:41 PM

My opinion is In gonna miss him but he isn't worth that kind of money. The TJ surgery ruined him

Terrible change. The risk of screwing it up has to be there. Boo this. Boo I say.

I feel dirty agreeing with STD (filthy Sox fan) but I hate this change too. But life goes on and ultimately it doesn't really affect anything dramatically.

Emperor Smeat 02-21-2017 10:59 PM

Like the decision since outside of rare occasions, the end result is always the same. Might as well let pitchers save those 4 pitches for later or more important situations. MLB doesn't really save that much time overall but pitchers get to save a bit of their arm for games.

Think it might have been Busty Olney recently who said the amount of times that play gets contested every season is tiny. Like around 4 times or so where it gets botched or doesn't result in an auto-walk.

I always saw those 4 pitches as part of the "exchange"...... you want to intentionally walk the guy, fine, but you will be "using up" 4 pitches that you could have used "later" or "more important situations"........

That's quite the hot take you have there

lolwhat

Meaningless to waste four pitches when the outcome is rarely anything other than a free pass. Keeping it just for "the risk" is dumb.

poopfromweiner dude 02-22-2017 08:14 AM

I know major leaguers don't just "lob them in" on the intentional, but is it really wasting pitches

I originally wanted him with the Jays, but definitely not for this kind of money.... way more than I thought he would get....
