Malkin is obviously way better than Staal, but the return on Malkin would be amazing. Get Crosby that winger he needs. If they were getting a star back...someone like Rick Nash maybe...then why not do it?

He's lifted the cup and has tons of playoff experience. I'm not saying i'd spend the farm on the guy, but still...a 6th or 7th rounder in whats considered a weak draft? Figured it would have been a 3rd rounder and a career minor leaguer that is good to call up in a pinch, especially considering the Sens depleted roster.

Kovalev is a lazy spud. Tons of talent, most teams probably offered the same type of deal for him.

Slow trade deadline imo.

Oh big time... all the deals happened over the past 2 weeks.

True, I was expecting some bigger trades before the deadline, but the only big one was the Penner trade.

Fuck, can't believe the Capitals traded David Steckel. He is so good. Wins so many face offs and is just a "hard worker." Wish they would trade fucking Mike Green because the league seems to love him even though he still can't play defense. Could get so much for him.
