There's a bunch of good TE's..you can't really rank 'em..we haven't even mentioned Heap, V-Davis, and Bubba Franks! :shifty:

Eli has been playing quite well this year actually. In recent years, I really don't think they incorporated Shockey enough, tbh.

Cooley is a good TE. Shockey doesn't suck at blocking. He used to, but he has vastly improved from when he came into the league.

It's all good.. We lost two games in a row last year also and still made the championship game..

Our turn around will come Monday night.. Funny thing is, I think both the Eagles and the Lions turn around will come today..

WHO DAT?!?

Seriously, who calls the plays? Payton or an OC? whoever it is should just be fired tonight.

That and I think Brees has something wrong, his skills have always (back to SD) been to good to be throwing the crap he's been throwing.

by the way, before NO tries another "trick play" they may want to work on basic things like quick slants and running the ball.

VonErichLives 09-25-2007 12:04 AM

oh yeah, and thank you to "mr. monday night" Keith Bulluck for saving the "under" for me when clearly a saints score would have done nothing at that point but fucked up my bet :)

Nervous Ferret 09-25-2007 01:05 AM

alright VEL we get it, you bet on the NFL. So do I and millions of other people

road doggy dogg 09-25-2007 01:18 AM

Deuce has a torn ACL. Gonna probably miss the rest of the season.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 09-25-2007 01:23 AM

Kellen Winslow is a great TE, stupid solider comments or not

Why yes, this must be my 100th post in this thread about betting...

by the way, I hope you haven't been betting on the Jets each week.

more intelligent response that we'd expect from you Krispy..

How about "I was wrong, my team sucks right now"

naah, that just wouldn't be you.

The Saints are once again the "A'ints"

on a serious note, Brees looks way off which makes me wonder if there is an injury we don't know about because his accuracy has been off all year.

So it's actually your fault.

And no rule #1 of sports betting, don't let your personal bias get in the way of your bets

A lot of Saints players have been saying it could be serious, leading me to believe the ESPN report is true.

Even though it's awful, the silver lining could be that the Saints can see if Reggie can truly be an every-down back. Dunnoo

RP 09-25-2007 12:44 PM

I'm officially announcing the Rams as my secondary team to root for this year.

I think all of there starting offensive line is out with injuries. Bulger is playing with broken ribs. Steven Jackson is out this week. I dont recall one team thats been more banged up with injuries then the Rams have this year. Its really frightening. The Rams could possibly be starting a CFL team by mid season. Its almost a sure bet that Leonard Little is gunna drive drunk and kill one of his own players. Its just that kinda season for them.

RP 09-25-2007 12:46 PM

If i could inject a shot of Bob Sanders into the Rams, i would.

I still have no idea what you're talking about... but I'll be sure to check my posts with you to make sure it's about the Jets or something else that interests you.

Also, since I've been talking about it soooo much and you have this idea that I'm betting on personal Bias rather then what I think's a good bet, could you give me an example?

oh and just cause I thought maybe I'm so tired lately I've been talking a lot about nfl betting and don't realise it... I just looked and I've mentioned it twice in this thread... so... guess that's "slipping it in a ton" in your book...

#1-norm-fan 09-25-2007 04:06 PM

Anyone who makes a list of top 5 TEs in the NFL and doesn't mention Jason Witten need some serious help.

SammyG 09-25-2007 06:07 PM

Ouch, Deuce really is out for the year. Two 0-3 teams, both with injured running backs, both teams had huge expectations for the year. Damn. I feel ya Krispy.

Brees has looked like shit b/c our O-line has played like shit.. He can not drop back and make the big plays when there are d-linemen in his face as soon as the ball is snapped..

Deeeeuuuuce..

:(

#1-norm-fan 09-25-2007 07:43 PM

Greasy tub of virgin

DrA 09-25-2007 07:55 PM

That Colts game ruined the Saints. Had they not let that game get so out of control, I believe that they wouldn't be in the situation they are in right now. I don't think that it is COMPLETELY over for them just yet, although it more than likely is. The NFC South is going to be tougher than most people realize, so getting behind this early, even if they improve their pace, is probably going to cost them in the long run.

DrA 09-25-2007 07:59 PM

Let me just say this: I think that Jason Campell is the most under-rated quarterback in the NFL right now. He is more than capable of taking the Redskins to the playoffs, although hopefully only as a wildcard if nothing else. *knock on wood*

#1-norm-fan 09-25-2007 07:59 PM

The NFL Network's Adam Schefter has confirmed that Brian Griese will start at quarterback Sunday for the Chicago Bears.

Seasons over. Bears win the Super Bowl.

:shifty:

UmbrellaCorporation 09-25-2007 09:23 PM

^

LOL, that's interesting. Especially after the conferences with "We started out at blah blah blah with our Quarterback, Rex Grossman.", "We're staying with Grossman.", "Grossman is our guy.", etc.

Even so...I'm curious to see how it'll play out.

SammyG 09-25-2007 09:23 PM

About fucking time.

mrslackalack 09-25-2007 10:19 PM

Game starts, Griese throws an incomplete pass

HERE COMES GROSSMAN!!!!!!!!!!!

Grossman throws 3 INTS

Lovie ''Rex is our QB, hes starting next week''

mrslackalack 09-25-2007 10:21 PM

I say the top 5 TEs IMO are

1. Gates (hes def a step above the rest)
2. Gonzo
3. Heap
4. Crumpler
5. Witten/Shockey tie

Owen Daniels of the Texans I think could really become an elite TE one day.

mrslackalack 09-25-2007 10:22 PM

Same for V-Davis

Skippord 09-25-2007 10:31 PM

Who finally convinced Lovie Smith to pull Grossman?

SammyG 09-26-2007 12:03 AM

Some Bears fans with guns.

ahh yes, good'ol Krispy... always being persecuted on here... must be difficult typing when you're always nailing yourself to the cross.

I made accurate, non-insulting comments on how the Saints are playing right now, you respond with "eat dicks" and yet, somehow I'm the one "talking shit".

same'ol Krispy... the world on the internet is out to get you so act like a tough guy rather then being able to hold a conversation..

RP 09-26-2007 09:41 AM

Heres what i predict will happen with this whole Bears thing. Grossman gets benched. Griese comes in for a couple games and is pretty much average then he gets seriously injured and Grossman will come in and start lighting it up like Good Rex. Then Bad Rex will show back up in the playoffs.
