YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

Supreme Olajuwon 05-25-2010 05:34 PM

Finally New York was able to grab the sporting world spotlight away from places like Jacksonville, Florida and Tempe, Arizona. This should give the city some much needed publicity and attention.

Innovator 05-25-2010 05:35 PM

EXACTLY Supreme

FearedSanctity 05-25-2010 05:39 PM

Let's get a Super Bowl in Denver now. A battle of football, oxygen and snow

(Will never happen :'()

There's always 2015? Maybe by then Tim Tebow will be your starting QB and he'll have won 3 MVP trophies and 2 Super Bowls? :shifty:

FearedSanctity 05-25-2010 05:46 PM

Nah, this will def be the only cold weather Super Bowl for a while. Too big a risk for a blizzard hitting and fucking everything up.

RP 05-25-2010 06:35 PM

I need to import some hoes tonight

McLegend 05-25-2010 06:38 PM

Everybody always has to help out New York.

It's so gay.

Yeah, the last time the Super Bowl was in Tempe was awesome. Super Bowl XXX.

Nah man. It will go to New York again.

They have a Super bowl in Old Yankee Stadium, New Yankee Stadium, the ruins of Shea Statidum, and Citi Field.

They'll even dig up the Polo Grounds and Ebbets Field and have the Super Bowl there befrore they put the Super Bowl in Philadelphia.

Innovator 05-26-2010 01:08 PM

You forgot Hilltop Park

I know they got a new stadium but I don't really see Indianapolis as a hot spot for a Super Bowl. I'm sure it's a great city and everything but I've never felt, or have I ever heard anyone say, "Wow I really wanna take a trip to Indianapolis!"

I guess they've had Superbowls in other locations like that but at least they were in warmer climates. Can't imagine it's too nice in February in Indy

you realize the rule for a city having a superbowl is the event has to either be in warm weather or a dome.... like how the superbowl was in detroit not too long ago

McLegend 05-26-2010 01:30 PM

Apparently come 2014 that rule no longer applies.

The rule was waived for the 2014 Superbowl.

OssMan 05-26-2010 07:25 PM

If you think it's a bad idea to have a superbowl in New Jersey, why would it be a better idea to have one in Philadelphia.

I don't think it would be good to idea to have a Super Bowl in Philadelphia.

Dear Brandon,
Congratulations!

Your wait on the Broncos Waiting List is over, and you are now eligible to purchase Denver Broncos season tickets. Your 2010 season ticket package consists of 2 preseason home games, 8 regular season home games, and the ability to purchase any home playoff games.
Was not expecting this until next year. I JUST got a new job and I have to buy the tickets by June 9th.

Quote:

In fairness to those who continue to wait for seats, if you elect not to purchase season tickets for the 2010 season, you have the option of moving to the end of the waiting list (about a 7 to 10 year wait) or being removed from the season ticket waiting list.

skip that one. We already know how that will end.

FearedSanctity 05-27-2010 06:12 AM

No way I'll have the money to buy these, haven't even gotten a check yet and won't until June 11th.

I'm not even in CO yet, because again I wasn't expecting this until at least a year from now, but I'd buy them this year and resell each just to maintain my spot. Fucking moved up almost 2000 spots in one year, come on

Supreme Olajuwon 05-27-2010 08:33 AM

You gotta find a way bro. You're taking a hit now, but do you know how much profit you'd get from selling just your Steelers, Colts, and Jets tickets? That doesn't even include the divisional games. Take out a freaking loan if you have to.

FearedSanctity 05-27-2010 09:47 AM

Maybe someone with a season ticket history can answer this one, but if I buy 1 this year, will I still be able to get 2 next year? I'm on the list for 2, but no way I can afford more than one this year. When I go to buy tickets its let's me order up to 4 or 5, but I dunno if that's just for the initial purchase and it'll remember for the future or if it'll just apply to this year

Plz halp

Emperor Smeat 05-27-2010 04:42 PM

Depends if anyone else buys the seats next to your seat since a season ticket only guarantees the seat or seats you reserved that year (or in set of years).

If the team is a big name or has high demand tickets then it probably won't be possible (ex. Packers in NFL, Red Sox in MLB, Maple Leafs in NHL).

Edit: Only read the last post before replying but since your getting Broncos tickets and the email told you about the whole waiting list, you most likely won't be able to buy that 2nd seat if you skip out this year.

RoXer 05-27-2010 05:26 PM

How much are they and where are the seats?

FearedSanctity 05-27-2010 06:30 PM

At best, $440 per season ticket for the seats way up in the nosebleeds, but centered right in the middle of the stadium in the seats with the Broncos logo painted on them

At worst, $770 for endzone/plaza level seating for either end.

First year ticket holders are limited to what sections they can buy for, but after the first year they can upgrade.

Think I remember reading something about that current holders get first dibs on new seats, but I'm not sure if that applies to adding new seats. All I know is they say the most you can have at one time is 4. Will have to research more when I get home

Fucking phone double posting and not being able to edit or delete

Skippord 05-27-2010 06:50 PM

The nosebleeds at invesco are nice

except for the altitude sickness you get when going to them

Gonzo 05-27-2010 08:41 PM

Wait, you mean $440 for the entire package per season ticket (ie 2 preseason, 8 home, plus potential playoffs?)

If that's the case, charge it and upgrade when feasible. My dad and I are paying $120 per game for mezzanine level tickets this year.

Maybe they should call them the pass out seats.

Yes, sir. And it turns out it's actually slightly cheaper. Guess it's because Denver isn't the market NY/NJ is

Gonzo 05-27-2010 11:04 PM

Dude you gotta do it. It may be a burden financially, but at the worst you sell off the tickets this year. You may even make a profit. If you don't get them you'll be kicking yourself. My dad and I are paying a small fortune for Giants season tickets, but once we pay the PSL the cost of the actual tickets (in my opinion) isn't vastly unreasonable. The Giants season ticket waiting list is a lot longer than 7-10 years too, so that factored in to our decision. My dad was on the list for about 25 years.

FearedSanctity 05-27-2010 11:09 PM

Oh trust me, if I had $420 and had to pay bills or buy these tickets, it'd be time to break out candles and bottled water. But as it stands I have a whopping $25 to my name. I just started a new job and won't be getting a check until either June 10th or 11th, and the deadline is the 9th.

FearedSanctity 05-27-2010 11:11 PM

I signed up just for kicks when I was 17, so to be 21 and be in a position to do this is incredible

Crimson 05-28-2010 10:38 PM

LenDale White, CUT . So the Seahawks basically gave away 2 draft picks to the Titans. But his work ethic really must've sucked or something to get cut this early.
