Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler will love having Josh McDaniels as their head coach - I'm curious to see who he brings in as the D-Coordinator. Wonder if he is gonna take Dom Capers or go a different direction.
Also say goodbye to the days of Denver pumping out 1,000 yard rushers... |

As for Defensive Coordinator, word going around is that Mike Nolan is gonna get the job. |
Also, Tony Dungy is supposed to be calling it a career.

How can you say anything about the giants needing to learn how to win when they won the superbowl last year. Also i'm pretty sure you just need to be able to run and play defense |
I think the Eagles played well, but in all honesty the Giants playcalling on offense hurt them more than anything else did in that game.
:'(
Dungy hung it up... think RP is somewhere getting Dungy's face tattoo'd on himself?

I never said it didn't. All I said was that I think the playcalling by the Giants on offense hurt them the most.
1) Eagles Defense
2) Eli Manning 3) Donovan McNabb 4) Playcalling |
Theres no denying the Eagles defense was playing unbelievable, but in all honesty it got to the point where I could call out the Giants playcalls presnap watching on TV. If I can do that, then so can the Eagles. The Giants just made it so easy for them. I don't want to take anything away from Philly because they are on a roll, but for all intensive purposes I hope they crash and burn (not in the literal sense). Props to them and all but I hope they get the shit kicked out of them, if not next week then in the Bowl.
Eli Manning played like absolute shit in that game, not only passing the ball but running as well. That QB sneak attempt was pathetic. I mean the Eagles defensiveline did a good job of standing up the center but Eli could have still dove underneath for the first, instead he just ducked his head and ran into the centers back like a retard.
Eli was the worse player on the field.
First play from scrimmage he threw a duck to a wide open Steve Smith I think it was. Basically then the game over, because Eli can't throw in the wind. |

4 3 2 1 0 0 0 0 HIKE! |
I mean some of the plays were predictable by the Giants, but with the 3-headed monster that was the Giants' running attack, we still held them down. When you put the game in Eli Manning's hands, you are either going to get 1.) Last year's SB strech Eli or 2.) 2005 Eli. I've always said that Eli is DANGEROUS when he is on a roll/winning streak. When he comes off of a bye or hasn't been playing well lately, he is either going to have to depend on the running/defense or PLAXICO.
The Eagles DEFENSE knew exactly what to do. Get in Eli's face and stop the run. Jacobs was supposed to be the factor and in the red zone/30 yard line he is pretty damn good. But that stingy defense stopped them. And our offense was acceptable. Could've put up even MORE points but didn't take advantage of the red zone. Overall, Eagles played better and planned better for the Giants. The problem with the Giants is they think they will either win from Jacobs, Plaxico, or Eli. Going to have to stretch it out a little bit more than that. |
As far as us crashing and burning, in all fairness, i expect that from division rivals so :)
Pioli has agreed to join the Chiefs.
Only way is up, DM. |
General vibe right now is that Herm Edwards will be gone sooner or later.
Sooner or later? WE CAN BUILD ON THIS

Jim Schwartz is the new Detroit Lions head coach.
Gruden's gone.
Jonathan Vilma was arrested but i'm sure he's 100% innocent according to Kris P.
WHO DAT! |
He won't be back with the Saints anyway, if they sign him they have to give the Jets a 2nd rounder, which would mean them giving a 1st to the Giants for Shockey
ARe you serious? Thats so ROFL. That GM should be fired.

RAMS HIRE SPAGS WOOOO

I'm pretty excited right now.

lol wow. what a first drive by AZ.

Larry Fitzgerald

He might be the best player in the league. Not just reciver.

Time will tell.

lol Fitzgerald again. Dayum
That Cardinals cheerleader in the #7 jersey is sure getting excited.
According to Larry Fitzgerald, the reason why he is so good is because of all of those leg lunges he does.
This is crazy.
lolllllllll what like a 50 yard onside kick or some shit.
why the hell can't they challenge that. That's some BS
It is so good that the Rams got rid of Warner. He is obviously so washed up.
Well. Credibility in the NFC West?
And the Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl Bound
The team that beats the defending Super bowl champ in the playoffs is 0-11 in the next game. Add that to a 24-6 lead at the half, and it's not looking good.
It can be done though. |
What the hell happened in this game?
Down to the wire.
Seriously. I go make some food, come back and it's been turned on it's head
Well I'm satisfied with any of the 3 remaining teams...I would prefer Ravens/Cards tho and I'm rooting for the Cards either way after that win
Old Man Warner, knocking on the H.O.F door.
Congrats, Cardinals. |
Who would win in a fight?
Bill Bidwell or Al Davis? |
Great game, I'm glad the Cardinals won. Now I can bust out the Leinart jersey that I bought for some reason like 3 years ago
lol I wouldn't go that far ever. I only rock jerseys of teams I genuinely support.
Going to buy a new Warner jersey tomorrow. They finally gave me a reason to.
Every time I bought a Patriots jersey the guy got traded/released/signed with another team so I decided to go with something different. I also thought Matt Leinart was gonna be the shit in the NFL........guess I was wrong
Eliminate the "the" in the last sentence and you're fine.
I don't think Big Ben is happy unless he's getting hit
The Philadelphia Eagles lost an NFC Championship game. I am surprised by this.
That Ward injury looked insanely serious. How is he fine.
Those African kids probably are getting sick of Eagles NFC Champion shirts now.
I mean, over there, the Bills have won 4 Super Bowls too, so at least they have something different to wear on occasion. |
Joe Flacco is horrible.
Glad the Eagles are out. So overrated.
Limas Sweed lowered the boom on Ivy...god damn
Steelers not getting that FG off at the end of the half might come back to haunt them tho... |
Polamalu just ran it like all the way back.
22 - 14 Steelers, with about 4 and a half left. Looks like we may get Steelers/Cards. |
Oh man, I hope McGahee is okay.
He's been wheeled off on a stretcher tied down. |
Where have I seen that before
Steelers/Cards should be a great one. Cardinals offense vs. Steelers defense = Epic
Just not a fan of the Steelers, would have much rather seen the Ravens. Oh well
I think McGahee will be alright |
Sure the Ravens defense is fun to watch, but god Flacco is pedestrian. I know I'm a Falcons homer, but I'm offended that there are people who think he deserves ROTY over Ryan.
I mean Flacco is probably the best QB the Ravens have had since forever, but he's got a hell of a lot more to learn than Ryan. |
Man both great games today. Being a Lifelong Steelers Fan obviously pretty stoked about the outcomes.
Really happy for Arizona too. Really liked Wiz and Fitzgerald may just have changed my mind today that he is the best WR out there. Maybe it's because Andre Johnson has been done for a while but really really looking forward to the run up to this game. So many story lines. Arizona's O vs Steeler's Def Tomlin vs Wiz (the man who looked to be the favorite to get the Steeler's Job after Cowher left) Alot of Ex Steelers on the Cardinals Also personal note, went to same smaller college with one of the Starting Offensive Lineman for the Cards so glad he made it. Should be a great game. I can't wait. |
I love you Kurt Warner
MY BIRD BOWL!
On the plus side we now get a classic superbowl between two top teams. I cannot wait for Feb 1. |
Good thing Brian Westbrook showed up rushing the ball with 2.3 yards per-carry for the post-season...Sure this is gonna be McNabb's "fault" though
I really can't wait till next year when the Pro Bowl is between the Championship game week and the Super Bowl...as meaningless as it might be, at least it'll give me football to watch in that week off. Hate it.

Where's Johnny Vegas? All that shit talking he did...

It is his fault, but at the same time it's not. So really hard.
He missed like 5 throws in the first half that would have drastically changed the game. Then was godlike in the 2nd half making plays that only he can make. Then he overthrows Desean Jackson across the middle on the final drive. Then the last play which should have been caught even though it was clear Pass Interference. Unlikily you are getting that call though. It still should have been caught. Eagles defense couldn't stop Steven Hightower who couldn't convert short yardage downs all year, and the Eagles stopped both Jacobs and Ward who are both better then Hightower in basically the same situation last week. Then they couldn't bring Hightower down on the 2 which then would have forced them to kick a field goal. I mostly blame the Defense, but McNabb left a lot of points on the field even though he also great at the same time. It's a tough call. |
I changed my mind.
Cardinals Offensive Coordinator was brilliant too.
Great game plan. |
Loved Spags' press conference. No bullshit kinda guy.
Rex Ryan looking like the new Jets coach right now.
Anybody hear any news on Gruden? |
According to the Baltimore Sun, "word around the NFL" is that the Cowboys are targeting impending free agent Ray Lewis and are willing to guarantee him $25 million in a three-year contract.
Anyone else think that Jerry Jones is constantly trying to out-Steinbrenner Steinbrenner?
He just keeps spending money on the "best of the best" and getting no titles out of it. I laugh my ass off. Hope he goes broke. |
Steven Hightower

Fuck Jerry Jones is never going to learn. Maybe he should throw a couple of hundred million at Dan Marino to come out of retirement. Or Lawrence Taylor?
I wonder what Barry Sanders is doing? Steinbrenner was always bad, but Jones is a joke with no punchline. |
Yeah, really shaping up to be the NY Yankees of the NFL.
Yeah they are not "America's team".
So who's Jones gonna go after if the Lewis deal falls through? Gonna go reanimate a few dead players?
I think you guys are overreacting a bit here.

I hope Indy gets Ray Lewis and moves him to outside LB . Just because.
Ray Lewis will be a Ram
I can't see him leaving Baltimore. He has been the anchor of that defense for so long. He can still play at a high enough level that the Ravens should keep him.
