--MMAjunkie.com has a report that CBS and Elite XC have reached an agreement for live prime time shows. The story said the shows would take place every other month. That is the deal UFC had been working on for months and may represent the most important MMA news since UFC got on Spike TV three years ago. While not in the story, the show is expected to be on Saturday nights.


So now the real question... How the fuck does UFC not get that deal done?

Well Mart Albert is great, but doesn't work for CBS. So maybe they could get Gus Johnson to do it, which would be the greatest thing ever.

You will get a bigger audience which in theory would increase PPV revenue for the future. I think it's a mistake they didn't get it done.

I think I've finally settled on my prediction for Hendo/Silva - Going with Hendo in the third.

MAIN CARD

Champ Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson--I pick Hendo by a big right after a spinning backfist
Heath Herring vs. Cheick Kongo -- I have visions of herring curling up into a ball as he is getting beaten
Chris Leben vs. Alessio Sakara-- The only reason this fight is on the main card is because Andrei wouldnt resign when Dana flew out to chicago 2 weeks ago to give him a contract... ill go leban what the hell
Yushin Okami vs. Evan -- I want tanner but ill go Okami
Jon Fitch vs. Chris Wilson --Fitch
PRELIMINARY CARD

Andrei Arlovski vs. Jake O’Brien -- Andrei
Luke Cummo vs. Luigi Fioravanti -- Im too lazy too look them up Ill go Luigi
Dustin Hazelett vs. Josh Koscheck -- Koz

Card doesn't look too strong...but the main event is sweet. I can't see Silva losing so i'll take him. As long as the rest are good fights I don't care who wins.

I'm not ruling out Dan Henderson yet. He's got the right tools to possibly beat Silva. If Silva knocks Henderson out though, no one will ever beat Silva. I cant imagine Silva knocking Hendo out. Hendo has one of the toughest chins in the world. What an interesting fight. I cant wait.

I like both fighters but am def pulling for Henderson..

Spoiler in black: Anderson Silva will never lose... ever. Not after tonight.

Silva was tremendous that 2nd round. Like he just got fed up after Henderson took the first and just decided to end him.

Also I :heart: Yushin Okami.

Everyone is going to laugh when I say this, but Matt Lindland is the last person who may have a shot without them doing a catch weight match with GSP. Henderson showed me that someone can take Anderson down and lay on him, Lindland is Dan's wrestling coach and I don't think he'd even think about standing and banging with Silva.

It would be a boring ass fight but I think Lindland could win with charge in, take down and just lay on top for 5 minutes; repeat. It would be a long shot, but it's the last possibility I can see and even then I think Anderson destroys him.

I've long said Matt Lindland is one of the top 10 fighters in the world. But honestly, seeing Silva flip the switch in that second round last night was unreal. It was like Hendo was on his level and then Silva jumped up 2 more levels.


BTW Chris Leben is a sick sick man. And he's becoming one of my favorite fighters. Because thats just it. He's a fucking fighter. Dude is sick. I didnt think he'd win last night.

Yushin Okami is such an interesting fighter. I thought he really fought nicely against Franklin, but he lost a decision and it kinda derailed him a bit. Now he's beaten McDonald and Tanner . I think he'll probably be Silva's next fight. And Okami wont win, but he'll make it pretty interesting. He's a definate dark horse. I kinda love him too.

Wouldn't laugh but Silva would fucking KILL Lindland right now.

So I guess Okami is next for Silva?

And seriously, Okami's name is Thunder?! Jushin Thunder?!?! BLASPHEMY

That's where the name came from. They wanted him to have a nickname and he couldn't think of one and then someone came out with that idea and he liked it because he is a mark for Liger.

O'Brian is a better wrestler than you think. Obviously UFC thought Arlovski would need to up his game to have an exciting fight or he'd be out wrestled and be in another bore fest. Since he lost the title, he looks like he is scared to take a punch.
