His body won't be broken down from 25+ carries a game for 16 games.

B.Scott could use the burn too. Was he injured last year? He's pretty good and for God's sake, it would force Carson to get his shit in order a bit quicker. Oh well, here's to smashing the Steelers again!

IC Champion 07-16-2010 03:03 AM

lol i liked you better before, whne you werent posting.

Emperor Smeat 07-16-2010 11:17 PM

Why are the Rams going to break the rookie signing record on a player who has a known injury and might be serious enough to re-injury like Bradford did while at Oklahoma?

I think NFL and the teams should have learned from JaMarcus Russell situation as a reason to not break the bank on a rookie and change the whole rookie salary involving guaranteed cash. Even last year's #1 pick ended up getting hurt and missed some games although not as serious as Bradford during college.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-17-2010 02:08 AM

Because why would you alienate your potential franchise star and make him the example? If there's gonna be a change, the league has to do it. Teams will never do it.

Emperor Smeat 07-17-2010 02:30 AM

I understand Rams don't want to do anything that would make them look dumb or alienate their fans who wanted him as a player but it doesn't help that Bradford is holding out until he gets the record deal (in terms of guaranteed money) while also coming off a pretty serious injury.

It just seems odd how every year teams and people talk about reigning in the rising rookie costs but every year when it comes to meetings, the league decides against it.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-17-2010 12:41 PM

Well Bradford knows he's gonna get the money, and if he's as injury prone as people think, he better get all the guaranteed money he can.

Droford 07-24-2010 02:53 AM

Bill Cowher's wife died of skin cancer.

I'll be good about this one, I do kinda respect him at the end of the day.

Terrel Owens set to make decision on which team he will sign for in next 2-3 days.

The list is down to just the Bengals and the Rams with the Bengals as favorites to sign him.

ESPN is planning a 1 hour special

Giants sign Keith Bulluck. I like it. Gives Dillard a year of grooming before he starts.

D Mac 07-25-2010 04:38 PM

Please don't let Owens go to the Bungles.

Krimzon7 07-25-2010 04:39 PM

I love me some TO, and I hope Cincy can sign my guy. I'd go buy a TO jersey immediately. Also...in totally related news, why is Andre Smith down here(Atlanta) on the radio trying to get some bitches to come to the club to see his fat, bench warming ass? So much for the front office being on to something in the draft. Fucking fuck.

Yeah I like the move. Gives the Giants a solid veteran presence in the LB corps. At worst, if it doesn't work out, it's only a one year deal.

Innovator 07-25-2010 05:50 PM

Good they finally did something LB related

Droford 07-25-2010 07:11 PM

Ravens 2nd round pick Sergio Kindle apparently got plastered drunk and fell down two flights of stairs and suffered some sort of brain injury. He was expected to sign a deal sometime this week..ooops

He had a DWI before when he was texting while driving and crashed into a building.

His father's name is Johnny Walker.

Can't make this stuff up.

Yeah I really think it's a solid signing. Not expensive, gives the Giants a bit of a face lift, and hopefully he can anchor that MLB spot.

Emperor Smeat 07-26-2010 07:19 PM

Looks like Bengals only team left for Terrell Owens since Rams dropped out of the race to sign him.

Dez Bryant refuses to carry Roy Williams or other veteran bags and doesn't like the whole Rookie initiation tradition in the NFL.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-26-2010 07:46 PM

VH1 must be going bonkers right now.

SammyG 07-26-2010 10:25 PM

Good for Dez Bryant. That's bullshit.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-26-2010 10:42 PM

It's initiation. Everybody does it. Dez Bryant is being a huge bitch.

Innovator 07-26-2010 10:44 PM

Considering Dez is gonna beat Roy out for his spot

Supreme Olajuwon 07-26-2010 10:49 PM

You can carry the pads like everybody else in the history of the sport, or you can take a stand and make all your teammates hate you. Come on Dezzy.

SammyG 07-26-2010 10:53 PM

I've always thought it's completely retarded for rookies to carry the veterans' pads. The veterans think they are so much better? Don't let a rookie beat you out for your spot.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-26-2010 10:59 PM

That's not the point at all. It's initiation to the team. Make the rookies prove they want to be a part of the unit. It has nothing to do with thinking you're better.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-26-2010 11:01 PM

Most people take it as a joke. The only people who don't are the ones that have huge egos and think they're too good to be hazed. Dez Bryant appears to be one of those people.

McLegend 07-26-2010 11:08 PM

Yeah it's just carrying pads... It's not getting taped to a goal post or being forced to pay for everyone's meals.

Get a hold of yourself.

RP 07-26-2010 11:27 PM

The least he can do is carry Roy Williams bags since he'll be carrying his receptions in November.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-27-2010 08:54 AM

Not even sure Owens is going to sign with the Bengals. Mike Brown is probably going to low-ball him since he knows the Bengals are the only team trying to sign him. And I don't know if Owens or Rosenhaus would take less money.

Gonzo 07-27-2010 09:04 AM

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see TO take less money just to play. After this, his only shot is if a team gets a couple guys injured and they need a veteran.

RP 07-27-2010 10:04 AM

JETS want him

Team Sheep 07-27-2010 02:03 PM

Oh god no.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-27-2010 04:50 PM

TO and Rex Ryan would be the greatest thing ever.

Supreme Olajuwon 07-27-2010 04:54 PM

How would Mark Sanchez possibly be able to keep TO, Braylon Edwards, and Santonio Holmes all happy on a team that likes to run the ball?

Team Sheep 07-27-2010 04:57 PM

This article pretty much sums up my feelings entirely:
