2k won't have that much to do with this. The game was already in production when they got the license, so they just hired Yukes and the former THQ staff to finish it.

We won't see a true 2K game til 2k15.

The new mode sounds cool and all, but once I beat it like I beat Attitude mode, what will I have for replayabilty? Fix Universe or gtfo.

I think if they could fix it to everybody's liking they would have by now. Probably time to scrap it and move on.

Will really hate this is Legends push out current guys. Really don't like to mix eras and have unrealistic feuds in universe, so really hoping for a healthy current day roster, but they really do seem to be loading up on legends for this...

Unrealistic? It's a fucking video game. I think if the current main roster was more solid I'd agree. It's kinda weak right now except for the top, so bring me some legends.

Current guys that get left off probably aren't very good/wouldn't want to play as them anyways. You could download them from community creations and they do a pretty good job usually on them.

I'm actually pretty happy with all this news. The gameplay in Legends was shit, but the presentation almost made it worth playing. Putting that in the smackdown engine will make this what Legends should have been.

Unlike a lot of other people here, I enjoy playing through actual events.

Anyone who made their debut after the last game ill think of as being in danger of being dlc. You know the wyatts will be.

Wrestlemania tends to be the cutoff now and it's not as if there have been a lot of debuts since last year so I don't see why The Shield wouldn't be on the disc. Someone like Fandango could be DLC but even he was doing a lot of dark matches and tv spots beforehand so he could be in. One guy that comes too mind that will be very likely DLC is Curtis Axel sure he's not actually new but he didn't even make the cut last year and I have the feeling his repackaging wasn't planned way in advance.

Very likely IGN messed up with the list reveal which might be why they took it down. Only other scenario is Piper and maybe a few others are are actually meant for DLC.

In all honesty it's not terribly difficult to come up with that list. The only questionable ones are the ones in more recent Manias, where a lot of the people have fought against one another so you can really mix and match it in several ways. They didn't announce American Bad Ass Taker for the mode, only current Undertaker (which probably has hair as an alt) and Retro Taker with his old school attire. Because of this, I had to leave off HHH/Taker from WM 17 and Flair/Taker from WM 18. American Bad Ass might strictly be DLC only.

Some duplicate matches in there, but it would seem to be inevitable.</font>

HBK/McMahon, HHH/Cena, MITB, and Mickie James/Trish Stratus were all great matches. JBL/Benoit didn't disappoint either.

SvR '08 was terrible. Only good things about it were tournaments and the fact that Edge & Orton were a preset team and used the Rated-R.K.O. theme.

Wish Blockbuster was still around in more places. Could just rent this and beat Mania mode over a weekend and probably be done with the game for the most part.

It was alright but they took a bunch of shit from SvR '06 that wasn't broken (i.e. table mechanics) and tried fixing it and as a result, while still a solid experience, nonetheless felt like a HUGE step down from the previous iteration.

Bought the newest issue of Gamesmaster and, while I haven't read the whole article yet, they say the old Wrestlemania matches have a graphic filter to make the screen look grainy. Cool little touch.

That feature comes from the NBA 2K series I believe and is one of the few things 2K Games was involved with for development of this game.

They mentioned that at the roster reveal, actually.

I thought they might have mentioned it but I've not been following this game that closely.
