Damn, just read that Sif is gonna be on an upcoming episode.

Really kind of wish that we DIDN'T yet get that. There's something to be said for "Leave them wanting more." |

The stop-start stuff is a fairly recent phenomenon, as least as extreme as it currently is. A part of it is explained fairly well in the following video starting at the 2:30 mark.

SPOILER: show |
I am very hype for Sif's appearance. They should also have JARVIS and General Ross appear.

SPOILER: show |
Was expecting Skye's mutant abilities to kick in
Me too.
I am going t ogive this a second chance. I will try and find the eps on Hulu or just download them all and binge on them.
Yeah I was thinking Skye was gonna do some special power shit too. Probably good they held off on something like that, although I often hate it when characters get fatally wounded only to survive.
This is all really coming good now though. Every character has found their niche a little more and the plots are intertwining. The comedic beats are far better and Whedon-like than earlier in the series. The bit with Coulson and Ward trying to work the hologram table was like something straight out of Angel, and was great. |
I HAVE TO WAIT TIL MARCH 6TH FOR MOAR?!?!?!?
dammit. I will say that I'm never a fan of the "let's show the same 5 minutes of activity from each character's POV", but I hated this one considerably less than most of this type of episode. |
Do you get episodes on Thursdays instead? New episode March 4. Really strange how they are staggering the episodes. This is what.. the third significant break without new episodes?
Last break was a midseason weirdness, then we had the President's speech and now we've got the Olympics. Yeah it is frustrating but there it is.
Didn't research what day of the week it was, but I thought I heard March 6th. Gonna have to review the DVR to see just how full of it I am.

If you think enough of your demographic is going to tune in to the Olympics no matter what, why waste new episodes during that time?
Same reason for networks not to air new shows going up against the Super Bowl.
Okay...
SHIELD's been dealing with some strange shit. |
Was that "GH" torso thing supposed to be recognizable as something from the comic books?
Speculation is ranging from an Ice Giant to an Atlantian to the Kree.
Kind of looked like "The Pale Orc" from The Hobbit movies. Maybe it is him.
Kree is a good guess, that could lead to Ms Marvel. Skrulls aren't on their list of characters to use and Atlantean is more likely gonna be hosted by Fox than anything.
Couldn't really get into this episode for whatever reason. Thought a lot of the acting was really hammy and terrible, mostly from Clark Gregg funnily enough. Dont think he's too great at playing serious. I did have that worry prior to the show starting but I think this episode is the first time I actually noticed it heavily and it took me out of the story a bit.
Also the scene with this Triplett guy and Simmons was the single most cringeworthy thing I've seen on tv in a good long while.
I'm wondering if that might have been Thanos. It would make sense if they're starting to build to an Infinity Gauntlet-based movie in Phase 3. There was speculation that the item Starlord is going after at the beginning of the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is an Infinity Gem.
EDIT: This Asshole (Awesome, Abnormal, something else) Humanoid Is Thanos I. |
Thanos was last seen alive and well and not a torso in a tube.
Not to mention it's a fucking stupid idea.
ROFL if Shield has Thanos cut up and contained, the whole Avengers franchise is doomed.
Ok, so I didn't realize we had seen Thanos somewhere in MCU already. Sorry I'm behind on my movie-watching.
I thought that there was a chance the guy could have been rendered unconscious somehow after a battle and kept catatonic to be used to harvest GH325 from until the mountain blew up. |

*Spoiler Alert* |
No worries. I still haven't STARTED watching Phase 1 yet. I'll probably forget about the spoiler by the time I get a chance to.
Oh and another 2 weeks without a new episode...
These constant breaks are annoying, same with Arrows current break, at least these are "hopefully" the last breaks until the season finales.
At least the break for next week sees us get a special about the MCU.
Yeah these breaks aren't really doing the show any favors.
Also Clark Gregg's unfortunate inability to act well in serious scenes isn't really helping much.
Very glad I watched this episode tonight.
HOLY SHIT!
SPOILER: show |
This was probably the first ep of the series that had me "on the edge of my seat".
How much of this ties in to CA:TWS?
And yeah, how many here buy in to The Clairvoyant being who they think / the series is making us think it is? As a side quip, damn, i enjoy Agent Garrett. |
We now know why Stillwell will be on the ship in the movie, Simmons mentioned a commotion at the Hub, Coulson will not be meeting Fury.
SPOILER: show |
- I can definitely see Bill Paxton's character appearing in one of the feature films.
- I've seen Cap 2, and I am definitely looking forward to next weeks show. |
That was pretty sweet. I like that they've got a few balls in the air right now. Really looking forward to see how the events of Cap 2 affect the rest of this series and it could be for the best. There's still some obvious issues with some of the dialogue, characters and acting, but the storytelling as of late has been very good.
Well that was a twist.

SPOILER: show |

well that was unexpected.

I def think there's something more to Ward. Dot thin

I def think there's more to Ward than what we saw. Don't think its as simple as him being Hydra. Seems too straightforward. I'd probably prefer it if it was the case rather than Ward being a triple agent, too many twists can spoil the broth.
Shows really gaining steam now and can only get better now they're actually underdogs and not a faction of a massively powerful government agency that we're supposed to believe are underdogs. |
Only just read that Amy Acker has been cast to play the cellist that was Coulson's love interest as mentioned in Avengers. That's at least myself and El Vaq whose interest in the show has just increased tenfold.
Seems to weird that Agent Hand would be like, 'How about shooting him for us Agent Ward' and then be blow everyone to pieces. His feelings for Sky seem to run to deep for him being an actual traitor. But something needed to happen to keep the show going and Hydra needs to be on top.
With Iggy on hoping he is a traitor though. How many episodes are left? |
I'm guessing his 'feelings for Sky' are all just for show. He didn't shoot the guy he 'thought' was the Clairvoyant because of what he might to to Sky as he said. He shot him because the actual Clairvoyant told him to.
But his feelings accomplish nothing if he is a traitor. No one ever suspected him and the kiss was out of no where. I do hope you are right though.
It would make complete sense though because he was getting his ass kicked by like 5 guys. For a couple of them to be Hydra and help him makes perfect sense.
We don't know what Coulson said to Ward when he shook his head. He could be a Snape with Coulson's orders. Skye looked pretty alarmed with what was being said.

TV viewage just got a whole lot better. |

Same.

Did I mention I have a serious crush on Reyna?
I crush on May.

They're replaying last week's before the new one tonight, right?
Yeah Chun-Li aged great.

Yeah Ward's evil.
Either that or so deep he's willing to cross the line at any opportunity.
Also Quinn's gonna get pancaked. |
They'll def still go with a redemption angle for Ward down the line due to his feelings for Skye. Shame, as he fits the role of Hydra's golden boy far better than as the cool good guy.
yeah the blatant murder of the two guards at the fridge probably didn't bode well for any redemption angle.
Random screen grab of Agent May's SHIELD catsuit from Tracks.
http://afterellen.mtvnimages.com/upl...pg?quality=0.6 |
Watched the past episode. Ward's heel turn is the best thing he has done.
I see them trying to do the redemption thing, but him getting rejected... leading to him becoming an even bigger outlaw working on the outside of both Shield and Hydra, in it for himself. |
Get that guy a costume. Nothing fancy, just something that stands out.
bring on the cellist
Seems May's badassery may run in the family.
Welp....I'm gonna come right out and say it.
WARD YOU FUCKING BASTARD I HOPE YOU FRY! |
At least Dethlok was blackmailed into what he is. Ward is just straight out bad. And after a whole season of badassery, he won't be easy to take down either.
Looking forward to Maria Hill
Yeah, damn I want Ward to die.
I very much want the suddenly-interesting Ward to stick around and kill off the now-most-boring-and-bland-yet-attractive person on the show, Skye.
Skye's not gonna die, and all fingers point to her being a muta- gifted at some point in the future.

Mutant. I was going for a comedic cut-off. Hard to do that with text, and I keep forgeting how to do strikeouts.
She's Kree actually. Or Kree/Human hybrid
I'm gonna preemptively nerd rage at the idea that she could be a Ms Marvel. Though not the Ms Marvel; I'm confident Marvel/Disney will give us Carol skipping to her Captain Marvel persona.
You would think they would have picked up on that after she was shot..
Who; the team? They're in the dark as far as the Kree blood thing goes. Coulson barely understands. Fury has some explaining to do.

All I know about this show comes from this thread and I gotta say it got me interested. Might have to give it a shot (wasn't really into that whole Marvel world but not about superheroes thing).
