Surely every dominant champion should keep going until he declines and somebody comes along that he can't beat. Passing the torch and all that. There's no shame in losing after dominating for that long.

Kris P Lettus 12-31-2013 02:55 PM

I completely agree

James Steele 12-31-2013 04:17 PM

Yes, there is. His wife should disown him and his children kill him and feed his remains to the stray cats in the streets. Dana White should disavow his name and act as if he never existed in UFC or MMA in general. He has brought an eternal shame to his family and spirit animal. May Anderson Silva forever weep and die a thousand deaths through drowning in his tears of failure.

James Steele 12-31-2013 04:19 PM

I ensure you that I'm not being facetious or flippant.

Plus anyone who tries to knock the career of someone who has dominated combat sports for as long as Anderson did because he finally lost to someone 10 years younger has a personal grudge or is a moron.

No, I meant more that the gruesome injury would be remembered first. No shame in losing to weidman.

I don't, I think a fighter should take stock of his health and get out while he still has all his faculties. GSP sounds like he is having mental problems, Liddell is punch drunk as fuck, Ali has Parkinson's etc. there's no glory in getting the torch passed to you by some beat up punch drunk old fuck.

40 facts about UFC 168

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 01-01-2014 02:32 PM

If you're taking severe punishment on a regular basis, then of course you should get out before you seriously break down.

Liddell continued fighting long after "passing the torch".

Kris P Lettus 01-01-2014 06:24 PM

Dana had to make him retire

Yeah but I'm saying get out before it gets to that point, gsp sounds like he was pretty messed up already without having lost the title. Silva is 38 and as good as he is in fights he's still training all the time and getting hit there, it has to add up.

Ol Dirty Dastard 01-02-2014 04:16 PM

Good to see Andy in good spirits in that picture. I hope he retires "on top" aka not losing to a bunch of dudes he coulda mopped the floor with in his prime.

The Mask 01-02-2014 04:36 PM

I think gsp did it right. The whole world bar three judges knew he lost that last fight, why subject himself to it again?

Kris P Lettus 01-02-2014 05:48 PM

he seems to be in high spirits, prolly the opiates

Savio 01-06-2014 08:03 AM

if anderson silva gets a sex change he would dominate the womens division

I wonder if the metal rod inside his shin will make future kicks more dangerous to his opponents.

We need a doctor in here to clear this up.

Savio 01-12-2014 09:56 AM

i love penis

whiteyford 01-12-2014 11:54 AM

That thought crossed my mind, surely can't be the 1st instance, Lex Luger not included.

Crimson 01-12-2014 02:43 PM

So terminator Silva will dominate in the near future.
