They need to add more to the Rollins theme loop or have him come to the ring faster.

It'll be even better when you can only see the Champion once a month on the WWE Network, subscribe now!

Jericho invented the idea on air. It's not something that can be questioned JBL. You sanctimonious son of a bitch.

I'd like that. It's how guys got over in the old days. Wrestling dark matches and making every TV appearance special. It keeps them from getting jammed down the crowd's throat and wearing the character out quickly.

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-28-2014 10:44 PM

So I guess Brie and Steph closing the show is the victory speech for WWE because of Spike cancelling Impact.

dronepool 07-28-2014 10:47 PM

Y2J is great today

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-28-2014 10:49 PM

Thought Rollins was going for Avada Kadavera.

Corndad 07-28-2014 10:50 PM

Random Thought of the Day. After watching old Saturday Night Main Events they need to start the show every week with Promos like they used to. Bring back the Graphics before every match too. Hell yes.

Was thinking same thing after watching alot of SNME over the weekend.

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-28-2014 10:57 PM

A Bella is in a final segment on Monday Night Raw.

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-28-2014 11:00 PM

the fuck is Brie wearing?

Lock Jaw 07-28-2014 11:00 PM

Finally caught up live with RAW. Glad I get to see this part live.

Droford 07-28-2014 11:02 PM

Brie quit but she wants her job back..hmm

To much clothing

Droford 07-28-2014 11:02 PM

she should want a title match at Wrestlemania

BigCrippyZ 07-28-2014 11:03 PM

God Brie Bella can't act.

Dark One 07-28-2014 11:03 PM

They really closed Raw with the booking of Brie vs. Steph at Summerslam.

Lock Jaw 07-28-2014 11:04 PM

I'll go to the papers if I have to.

Maybe we'll get a Daniel Bryan sighting out of it

Emperor Smeat 07-28-2014 11:05 PM

Just a plain match?

Missed opportunity to add some WWE ownership as a stip.

Savio 07-28-2014 11:05 PM

Go with plan C steph!

Corndad 07-28-2014 11:05 PM

This shoulda been end of like the 1st or 2nd hour.

rockman725 07-28-2014 11:05 PM

So let me guess what happens at Summerslam, Steph vs Brie then Nikki turns on Brie to join the Authority.

I just want to make sure I have this in as many places as possible so I can recall this in the future.

Droford 07-28-2014 11:05 PM

Steph should just show up, have the match start and then leave and get counted out.

#1-norm-fan 07-28-2014 11:06 PM

HAH! Steph saved it. That was awesome.

Evil Vito 07-28-2014 11:06 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Brie cannot act worth a shit. She has this really weird inflection where she yells the last word of every sentence.</font>

Lock Jaw 07-28-2014 11:06 PM

Jamie Noble, boy

Dark One 07-28-2014 11:06 PM

Stephanie McMahon should be the heel authority figure forever.

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-28-2014 11:06 PM

I think this match is going to be plan b.

AN ABORTION!

Droford 07-28-2014 11:07 PM

Jamie Noble just Bella'ed

Emperor Smeat 07-28-2014 11:07 PM

 Steph

Savio 07-28-2014 11:07 PM

"this is awesome" for that?

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-28-2014 11:07 PM

This is awesome chants? Da fuck.

BigCrippyZ 07-28-2014 11:08 PM

Steph is awesome

Droford 07-28-2014 11:08 PM

I imagined I heard 'THIS IS AWFUL"

#1-norm-fan 07-28-2014 11:08 PM

Just a few hours behind bars and Stephanie is already throwing out "I'm gonna make you my bitch" left and right.

Lock Jaw 07-28-2014 11:09 PM

Was a pretty cool moment, despite Brie Bella being a terrible actor.

Pretty "huge" that Steph is going to possibly wrassle a match.

#1-norm-fan 07-28-2014 11:09 PM

Seriously, what other segment should have closed Raw? That was pretty major. Stephanie wrestling again is a pretty big deal.

slik 07-28-2014 11:10 PM

crowd wayyyy more into this feud than I am

They've wanted a Bella Vs. Bella feud for years but it never stuck. So, probably.

Innovator 07-28-2014 11:16 PM

I got unexpectedly exited at the prospects of the Steph/Vicki match a few weeks ago, but this doesn't elicit the same feelings. Whatever. Itl probably wind up being one of the few stories that pays off at the end so I'll enjoy what I can of it.

Sepholio 07-28-2014 11:20 PM

Was honestly expecting a Daniel Bryan appearance during that last segment. I'm kind of impressed that they didn't do that, tbh.

Also thank the lord Stephanie is a great heel and has some acting ability or that segment would have been bloody awful. Brie is just.....UHG.

But yeah, either Nikki is turning or the SS match is just a vehicle for a D Bry appearance. For some reason, I'm thinking Nikki turns and ends up in a romance with Seth Rollins. Then when Daniel comes back, he gets involved with the Bella feud obviously and this somehow ends up in a match between him and Rollins for the briefcase.

Yes, who can forget Stephanie's incredible in-ring skills, not to mention Brie's as well.

I wonder if it will top this...

#1-norm-fan 07-28-2014 11:38 PM

How does that make her stepping back into the ring again not a big deal?

#1-norm-fan 07-28-2014 11:39 PM

Also, Stephanie vs Trish from No Way Out 2001 is one of the best women's matches ever.

#1-norm-fan 07-28-2014 11:41 PM

Should Raw have closed on the huge climax of mundane Wyatt Family attack #243 over the announcement of a fucking McMahon stepping back into the ring?

Sepholio 07-28-2014 11:45 PM

Every segment on every WWE show should end with a Wyatt attack.

Droford 07-28-2014 11:46 PM

Raw should have ended with the end of Bo Dallas' streak.

Lock Jaw 07-28-2014 11:47 PM

This RAW seemed to contain a disproportionate amount of brawls/beatdowns.

Cena vs Cesaro should have ended the show, with Cena standing tall, staring down Heyman.

#1-norm-fan 07-29-2014 02:30 AM

Yeah, that also would have been a pretty anti-climactic ending. It's not like Cesaro's a big deal that people actually believed could beat Cena to the point where they'd stick around to see it. Cena beating a midcarder and staring down a manager would not have been a better way to end Raw on a high note.

Shisen Kopf 07-29-2014 03:38 AM

Hopefully they do a Stephanie training montage sometime before the Summerslam.

Sepholio 07-29-2014 04:23 AM

Stephanie's got the eye of the tiger.

Savio 07-29-2014 07:44 AM

Whispering eye of the tiger.

Tazz Dan 07-29-2014 08:08 AM

I'm with fan, it was a big segment that closed Raw. Everybody bitches here about storylines being dropped or not followed through on, yet this has been booked perfectly. From Brie quitting, to last week, and this week Steph who is in the Vince McMahon role these days being booked in a match at one of the big 4 PPV's. Who gives a fuck if the match is shit, Vince did fuck all everytime he got in the ring, yet if it was him vs Austin again everybody would be pulling their dicks.

I'm looking forward to it. And it could lead to Nikki turning on Brie and setting up the feud they've been talking about forever. Not saying it will, or I want to see it, but it's a possibility.

Mr. Nerfect 07-29-2014 09:20 AM

I understand the business of having Stephanie McMahon work a match at SummerSlam, and people seem fucking into it. More so than AJ Lee vs. Paige, which I am really hoping gets some good time and such. But I doubt Steph will be working this match if there isn't a plan on how it will be presented. I'm also suspecting the Nikki Bella heel turn to help Stephanie win.

Cesaro impressed the shit out of me this week. I'm annoyed that his whole relationship with Heyman went nowhere, but this sort of paid it some due. If I were booking, I'd have Cesaro issue an open challenge for SummerSlam that is answered by Sami Zayn, but I doubt that will happen. This card is looking like it is going to be a stacked one.

Not sure what is happening in the tag team division. It seems like RybAxel, The X-Men/Woodsmen and The Bizarre Ones are all alluding to wanting Tag Team Title shots. But I just feel like The Usos should be facing The Wyatt Family in a killer send-off match for their rivalry. How about a TLC Match, since SummerSlam hosted the first one of those matches? They could bill it as the "ultimate test for tag teams in the WWE." Boom. Let the other teams tear up the pre-show.

I was hoping that AJ Lee vs. Paige would take a less hokey approach. I really enjoyed Paige's heel turn last week, and it is so simple: Paige lost the Divas Title and has to deal with being second-fiddle to AJ within the Divas Division. That was all addressed, but I just feel like Paige skipping and the AJ's crazy stuff is missing the true essence of what these girls should be fighting about.

I really want to see Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt in an I Quit Match, but that might just be me. I hope we see a different side of Jericho as this feud progresses. I want to see Wyatt bring out the darker side of his persona. I'd like Jericho and Wyatt's promos to explain why I need to watch another match between the two when I saw Jericho beat Wyatt at Battleground.

Swagger and Rusev are likely continuing their feud. Prior to RAW, I was sort of hoping we'd move towards Sheamus vs. Rusev for the US Title and Swagger vs. Del Rio or something. The second one is a bit random, but Del Rio is a foreign heel that Swagger could have a great match with and beat. Rusev would win the US Title from Sheamus and then feud with Swagger in time for Night of Champions. Sheamus wasn't on RAW, so it'll be interesting to see how he fits into things when he gets back.

Mr. Nerfect 07-29-2014 09:27 AM

This would be my ideal SummerSlam card, although I've got no clue how to make it fit three hours:

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Brock Lesnar

Triple Threat Elimination Match
Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton vs. Kane

I Quit Match
Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt

Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins

TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Jimmy & Jey Uso (c) vs. The Wyatt Family

Divas Championship
AJ Lee (c) vs. Paige

Intercontinental Championship
The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Open Challenge
Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn

United States Championship
Sheamus (c) vs. Rusev

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger

Kickoff Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match
The Bizarre Ones vs. RybAxel vs. The Woodsmen vs. Slater-Gator

Hardcore Match
R-Truth vs. Bo Dallas

I guess SummerSlam is not the place to realistically do a Zayn call-up, and that Cesaro could face Sheamus for the US Title. Alberto Del Rio then gets bumped and Swagger moves into his match with Rusev (likely a Flag Match that won't need much time).

Dukelorange 07-29-2014 04:21 PM

So...

How much of the show actually featured wrestling?

Jura 07-29-2014 08:55 PM

Total run-time of this Raw was 2:13:00 approximately so that's about 45 minutes of commercials and about 40 minutes of wrestling from when the bell rings and ends but I included the Roman Reigns beat down. A few matches were actually just over a minute to a few minutes long.

Stephanie hardcore reminds me of her father lately and I guess Cena's response to when people say he can't wrestle is by always adding a bunch of new but awkwardly executed moves.

James Steele 08-02-2014 01:10 PM

Noid, WrestleMania doesn't have 13 matches let alone SummerSlam.
