Win Survivor Series eh Saxton?

Kalisto vs Roman Reigns......holy shit that's funny!

Alberto really needs Lillian to pull a Ricardo with his intro. Feels too boring without that crazy enthusiasm.

All Del Rio has to do to win is pretend he's facing botch cara He really seems to hate that guy.
so the Divas contract signing is the main attraction... wow

I'm actually looking forward to Paige vs Charlotte.

 Del Rio doing the same he did to the original Sin Cara
Nice counter by Kalisto there.
WTF?!?!?!?!
Say what you will, but Kalisto is showing tremendous heart in this match, IMO.
That could have ended a lot worse with the way Del Rio was slipping.
I wanna know what was up with the Mask, the random forearm straight to the head.....
Pretty awesome match for a shorter match. Kudos to both men. :y:
We're heading towards Reigns vs Ambrose .. with Sheamus stealing it
WWE Paige's bra pushing her all the way to the main event
Sheamus with The Authority? Seems kinda weird.

Woo! Heard Becky Lynch theme briefly in a replay!
Love WWE Paige's theme as well
Just like with the #1 contender's stuff earlier, Reigns basically has the chance to beat almost all the champions again.
Beat Kofi (tag), Del Rio (US), and Owens (IC) for the contender's tournament and now possibly Del Rio and Owens again. |

Techno Flair isn't that bad.
Woooow, they are trying to draw this in.
Probably should avoid subjects that make you cry on TV.....
So cringe worthy
Why not pit this at the top of hour two |
There's no crying in wrestling!

I don't think this is go-home before a ppv material...

<font color=goldenrod>jesus christ...WWE should be fucking EMBARRASSED

THIS JUST GOT BETTER!!
OMG guys, Charlotte never signed the contract
At least this all ends with Sasha winning the Title at Mania next year, right?
Almost had a first with a contract signing brawl not having the traditional table flip moment.
Get that they wanted to go with an emotional route for Charlotte but her promo was pretty bad overall. At least the whole thing was better than when the Bellas had the main event spot. |
Ending segment was memorable...will give them that. Not really crazy about bringing up death of Reid Flair (even though I'm sure both ladies were fine with it, it's still an awkward angle). Charlotte is really bad at promos.

Looks like I made the right choice napping when I got home from work and catching the west coast airing rather than the live airing.
I'm actually getting more engaged in the tournament matches, or at least a couple of them. Cesaro/Reigns was pretty exciting and interesting, and they made me bite on a couple of nearfalls that maybe Cesaro was going to win it. The rest were just kind of there at worst, but the likely Ambrose/Reigns final is going to have a lot of potential. Here's to hoping they pull the trigger on something; I'm really hoping they don't just have a face vs. face respect match, Reigns wins, handshake, the end. It's really interesting how they keep talking up Cesaro pretty huge on commentary. It's been like that the past few weeks, even if he can't buy a win. And yeah, that ending was pretty rough. WE WANT SASHA. I do have to give them credit for at least trying to give it some emotion and verve as opposed to the usual "I BEAT YOU! I GET TITLE SHOT!" Maybe not incredibly well put together and kind of cringe-worthy, but it's something different and they gave it a chance. It has to start somewhere. I'm okay with it in the end. |
The moment you read the RAW results on wwe.Com and get confused there is no 'next' after the Divas contract signing.
Thought RAW was great up until the final segment. Well to be fair, the show went downhill after Reigns-Cesaro.
Really enjoyed all of the tourny matches. I thought everyone looked great, and I can't wait to see how this thing ends. I thought they used Bray and BOD effectively. Look guys Bray still has superpowers so everyone should stop complaining about that now. I actually liked that they headlined with the Divas, but what horrific execution. This is one of those nights I talk about where the company put everything they had into making the Divas title match have a big fight feel, but the girls just fell on their face in the spotlight. It's a pretty simple story about success and jealousy, but they came off like people reading a script and got lost part way through. The one thing I will fault the writing on was the use of the dead brother. I never understand why all big Divas angles have to boil down to one of the Divas saying something to come off as a total cunt. Would have been much more effective to just do your standard contact signing. Have Paige put Charlotte through the table and we want to see Charlotte get revenge. The Divas division is the only area where the WWE feels the need to lower themselves to the style of writing that was used in the Attitude Era. It's sad. |
don't worry, Next week WWE will drop the story line and they will be friends again. Then you can applaud WWE for their wherewithal on when to drop a storyline.
I don't think that will happen
Three things/questions about Del Rio:
1. Is he a face or heel? 2. Why is he being made out to be like a Mexican Hulk Hogan? I get that he's a "big name" over there or whatever, but since his return they've been booking/promoting him as a super-unbeatable, main event legend. He's good, but he was never THAT good. 3. They banned the Curb Stomp but they allow Del Rio to keep his finisher, which looks about ten times more dangerous. |
The tourney matches were all great! Horribly predictable, but great matches.
This whole Paige turning on her teammates or whatever... jeez they were only a team for about two months. Fucking hell they're making it sound like they've been together for decades. And Paige has had a boob job/implants/push-up bra or something? So much for her "anti-glamour diva" bollocks then. |
Quote:
2. His time away from WWE was great for him. He is/was the AAA Mega Heavyweight Champion when he resigned with WWE. They want a big Mexican star and he's their best option. 3. I think the curb stomp would still be around if they would have given it a better name than just curb stomp. |

Del Rio is most definitely meant to be a heel. What possessed them to stick with this Mexamerica crap I really don't know though.
I absolutely love Del Rio. I was talking to someone just before he came back that I missed him and hoped they would mend fences.
I think in order to bring him back they needed to promise him a strong push. The fact that he beat Cena clean and has looked pretty dominant in the ring shows WWE has kept their side if the bargain. I really don't understand the alliance with Zeb, and I feel like it's hurting Del Rio. My guess is its a set up to turn Del Rio face, but I'm not sure . I think Del Rio is more valuable to the company as a top Mexican babyface than a heel. I just hope if they turn him face he keeps his edge in the ring. That said, I'm not sure I would be lining up to work with him, he looks really stiff lately. |
It's a set up to enforce Del Rio as a heel. Eventually he is going to feud with Jack Swagger and Zeb will turn. It's dumb, because Swaggie will get the short term push again and probably get fairly over in the process, just to be buried again. Del Rio gets the 'anti-America' heel heat either way.
J&J security took the beating from BOD pretty well tonight, too. Plus their new costumes look sweet.
It could be. I just think that's the wrong move for him. Zeb is supposed to be a zealot, i'm not sure he should be the babyface in the scenario.
Del Rio is needed to sell tickets in Mexico, that's best done as a babyface, especially without Rey Rey around. But yeah its a weird storyline either way. |
I'm thinking they may try to push Kalisto as the face to sell to the Mexican audience. The way Del Rio unmasked him isn't a good way to make him a face to that audience. But it sure as hell would be to Kalisto. That move to me was clearly meant as a kickstart to some kind of program for the 2, regardless.
I didn't think Del Rio meant to take the mask all the way off like he did. Seemed like it came off easier than he assumed it would.

Well, we can agree on something at least.

There is hope yet
Good stuff this week, but everything still feels "eh." General direction and all that.
I'm curious to see where Cesaro goes. I hope they have him lead a Survivor Series team to victory at the PPV. That will instantly be the match I am most interested in, since the heat is dead for Taker & Kane and the Divas Title stuff feels tacked-on a bit late, and like the wrong feud for that sort of drama.

I could see Cesaro joining the Authority and costing Reigns the title. Could lead to a Cesaro/Reigns feud and you could put the belt on Sheamus after Ambrose win the tournament. Have Ambrose/Sheamus feud for the title.
