The Bliss/ Wrestlemania Report mishap was not even that bad. Clearly a bad cut to the camera, but they fixed it quickly and I still enjoyed the WrestleMania Report.

The biggest blunder despite me enjoying it last week was the mic issues with Adam Pearce during that Roman Reigns contract signing. I still managed to like it, but that could have been a lot better with no mic issues.

It's pretty cool that Taco Fall escorts AJ Style to the ring as a side job.

That finish for Styles was excellent.

That was a hit or miss show for me and I might make a full review later. Initial thoughs, i'm like 6.5/10. Maybe 6/10.

I came in 30 minutes late.

First thing I saw was Mustafa giving a promo which led to a match between Xavier Woods and a dude from Retribution. Props to the announce crew on telling me about Kofi's injury, but at no point did I get a real idea as to who Woods was facing. Was it Max? Was it T-bar?

Also, who the fuck is the regular looking dude with a mask and was there not a female in this group? Does the regular looking dude with a mask have a name? He looks like some textbook jobber who is one of the old timers sons who gets to go out there and be on TV lol.

This was all bleh to me. A Woods vs Ali match could be great though. This leadup is junk. They didnt even gang jump him like i've seen in the past. Oh ya and the finisher was either the worst finisher ever or a total botch. I'm guessing botch.

Lashley's failed foot stomp was gloriously terrible.

Bliss playground was just awkward. I thought it actually made Asuka look really weak considering she's carrying two belts.

AJ vs Ricochet was solid. It could have been better. The ending was excellent though.

Why is Elias vs Hardy still going? I feel like this has been happening for a year now and no one cares.

The Blacks vs Mexicans match was easily predicted. Both booking and outcome.

I like the " Bro " persona of Riddle, but i dont like anything else. I dont like his ring attire, I dont like his bare feet and his in ring move set is rather bland and lacks explosiveness.

The Miz/ Morrison segment was hilarious, but then terrible booking reared it's ugly face by playing the taped McIntyre promo after the segment. Am I the only one that thinks that made 100% sense to go before the Miz/Morrison segment. Maybe even leading into the Miz/Morrison segment. Just terrible writing. No concept of structuring a full show.

Bliss vs Asuka was rather predictable. I didnt predict that she would be taken over by the Fiend, but it really seemed like booking booked themselves into either a Bliss win or a Orton comeback with an RKO. I get what they did. Bliss is a great actor in the ring. She pulled it off rather well. I dont think Asuka should have been the one in that position. It was ok. Nothing amazing.

Overalll, 6.5/10

6.5/10 is one of the best numbers I've given a RAW show in a long time btw. And it doesnt feel earned.

I know we don't see eye to eye often, but I appreciate the time you put in to write a review. I enjoyed reading this and if you have the time to do future reviews that would be good!

Also 100% agree about the placing of Drew's pretape. They have 3 hours and picked the most illogical place in the whole show.

Adam Pearce made it clear a few weeks ago that you can’t just declare yourself for the Rumble. Apart from when you can just declare yourself for the Rumble. Obviously.

Miz is gonna cash in at the Rumble, turn it into a triple threat, and eat the pin from Goldberg so Drew stays protected but now has a reason to face him again at Mania.

I could see that possibility, good call.

I've been wondering if Sheamus would turn on Drew and cost him the match against Goldberg since they have teased Drew/Sheamus feuding for months.

If Goldberg is gonna face McIntyre, does that mean Bryan gets fed to Roman at Mania?

I just don't see them going with a Goldberg win. If anything it happens like you say but Miz takes the pin from Drew to protect Goldberg so he has a claim to a rematch.

I also wonder if Miz possibly cashes in and steals it, maybe from a Sheamus heel turn. Then Bryan wins the Rumble, and chooses to fight Miz at Mania, freeing up Roman to face Goldberg at Mania this year, which would be far better now with Roman as a heel than it would have been last year.

Then you have that Drew/Sheamus match which would be better with the "you betrayed me and cost me my title" revenge match instead of trying to make Sheamus a legit title contender at this point.I

At the end of the show you get big wins from 3 top guys in Bryan, Roman, and Drew, and losses for 3 guys that are good for spot main events, but not top guys at this point in Goldberg, Miz, and Sheamus.

Notable too that DBry keeps losing matches. That is a big trend with whomever wins the Rumble. WWE has three booking modes for RR winners: Total Surprise/Return, Insanely dominant in the upper mid card, Reverse MITB route - where instead of winning MITB and then losing for months afterwards, the person has been losing for months and then wins the RR.

The problem is that it's not a " Pro AEW " forum. If WWE put out shows that interest me, I would make time to watch or DVR them. No one here... literally NO ONE... is rooting for WWE to fail. Everyone here.... LITERALLY EVERYONE.. would love to see great RAW's and Smackdowns every week.

I'm more interested in AEW because even if they do some of the same shit, at least it's a different cast of wrestlers and a lot more hope for change involved. There is no hope for change when Vince McMahon is involved.

I would love to see a day where my primetime TV nights are all wrestling .. AEW/ WWE/ RDW. But right now it's just AEW that is peaking my interests.

I think that’s a bit of tit-for-tat. So, if Noid hadn’t pointed out the lack of posts in an AEW thread nobody would be pointing out the lack of posts in a Raw thread/actively not posting in them. It’s petty and I wish we could move past it but...well, here we are.

Yeah that was like so many months ago already. It clearly hit a cord though because people haven't stopped bringing it up since.

I legitimately want WWE to do well because when they hit their mark, there's nothing like it. Unfortunately they've been so consistently bad and piss poor at building new stars, creating lasting moments, and telling compelling stories consistently that I've been mostly tuned for years now.

The fact that Reigns is just recently the top heel in the company when it was the most obvious and desired direction for him, when fans can't actually go to the arena and enjoy it, speaks, to me, volumes about why the company sucks and why they feel so directionless and uninspired.

But I don't want them to be. I grew up on WWE. I WANT them to be good. I hate that I find them boring and unwatchable.

Guess Carlito is sticking around on RAW for longer than assumed based on him getting the special vignette treatment.

There were some rumors of him being brought back in a MVP type role in the sense of him working as both an active wrestler and backstage producer.

If Carlito has any ring rust, he hasn't shown it at all these past 2 days. Sure he didn't really do much in his tag match tonight but he's been solid in the ring since his return.

I don't know for sure his wrestling frequency down in P.R., but im sure he has access to rings whenever he needs to train.

Also, I'm gonna guess this run for Carlito is gonna tap out after about 6 weeks when his jacked up physique starts to faulter without being able to stay in the juice.

Nikki Cross' new theme might actually top Carmella's new theme for music that doesn't really fit as a wrestling entrance theme.

My thoughts on the show tonight;

I enjoyed the hell out of this episode of raw for many reasons. Carlito's appearance in a match, edge return and his promo for the main event vs orton, sheamus turning on drew mcintyre was my highlight of the night. Really felt "fluid" and I cannot wait for next week. I expect edge to be on SD to challenge reigns.

WWE somehow managed to turn all of the good hype and interest coming from last night's Rumble into a mostly wet fart of a RAW show tonight.

The insane amount of money NBC and USA Network is giving WWE for the current RAW tv deal and now WWE Network stuff literally gives WWE zero reason to bother ever improving RAW any time soon.

I love Alexa to death but they are teetering on jumping the fucking shark on this.
