i'm all for sammy as a heel. i was over him as a face for a while for sure. he just isn't that likable especially when you put him on the mic.

I know the bar is incredibly low but that was the best current weekly wrestling show I’ve seen in a really, really REALLY long time. Will probably try watching live again next week.

I’m starting to see why Vince didn’t want him back. That and him being a pretty negative pain in the ass. The dude got chance after chance in the promotion when you go back and look. He comes out of it sounding like he was held down.

Watched this morning, enjoyed the show on the whole but fuck I really enjoyed seeing Dax and Cash have an old school wrassle. I love those guys. Would pop huge if Dax actually won the whole thing, though I don't think it'll happen.

Looking forward to Wardlow breaking that damn jezebel MJF in half.

Shida/Deeb was fun as always, I've enjoyed their rivalry getting progressively more violent. Deeb/Rosa sounds good to me.

Glad Sky is TNT champ again, Sammy is good between the ropes but still managing to get go away heat from me instead of "this guy is a good heel I want to see get beat up" heat.

I actually don't mind that the TNT Title gets hot potatoed to the extent that it does. It's basically their TV title and, therefore, one that gets defended a lot more often than the rest. The champ is always less "rested".

I know people really wanted Daniel Garcia in the BCC but honestly turning him into a Ruthless Aggression era midcarder is a pretty brilliant heel move.

Also I hope LAX Classic (Homicide and someone cooler than Hernandez) turn up for the blowoff stable war match.

I prefer he not win. It’ll be better used as an accolade for an actual singles guy they’re pushing. If Dax wins it would stand to reason that he would have to have a singles run (even if he’s just splitting his time 50/50).There will be a time for that but FTR is just now finally becoming the top team in the company and I think that’s where the focus should be. Let them run the tag division for a year or two before they start doing singles stuff to keep the team from getting overexposed.

In fact, if this is a yearly thing, a rematch in the finals down the road would be hot.

Fan with great booking ideas. And I agree. Dax making it to the finals on a Cinderella run would be great for him, buy he should lose the tourney to somebody who can immediately capitalize on it with a big singles push.

Just watching Cash vs Dax. JR so half assed on commentary as usual. Talking about a Bret Hart turnbuckle. Not really keeping up the illusion of wrasslin when you’re talking about a bump someone would take.

Wish he’d listen to himself in the early 90s and hear how dialed in he used to get.

I’d say attitude era JR is pinnacle but that was a different beast altogether. Can’t emulate that shit.

It's the podcast culture that's changed his commentary. He keeps that similar vibe at times that he has on his podcast. When is actually inspired by a match or story he's invaluable and still the best, but it's not very consistent!

I was actually going to say he just sounds like he’s talking to Conrad. It’s not even that great for his podcast never mind while doing pbp.

It's hard to keep in the mindset of "enjoying 2 hours of wrestling" when the commentary keeps shooting like a podcast no doubt.

Guevara is a terrible in-ring performer and an even worse human being outside of it.

JR does not have an engaging product to call. At this stage of his life he isn’t going to fake it til he makes it.
