I was listening to the radio this morning and they said that Fox has signed 24 till May of 2009 and that Kiefer has signed on to play Jack motherfucking Bauer till May of 2009. That means all the rumors were true.
If ratings were shitty, 24 was going to be done after this year. Apparently they are thrilled with ratings. This means that the rumored 24 movie is truly in production and should be filming soon.  |
I rented the first 3 discs of season 1 this past weekend. OMG i am so hooked on this show. I will be renting the rest of the season after my exam on wednesday lol.
Can't wait till tonight's episode |
So then I guess he doesn't die at the end of the season. Tough break.

Vic Mackey would destroy Jack Bauer.

Cross-over with Jack Bauer and Vic Mackey teaming up to KICK SOME ASS.
|
Can you imagine if Jack was on the Strike Team? Holy shit that would be incredible.
|
If you kill Jack, he'll just break protocol
|
What?
|
One question for the 24 experts:
I finished watching an episode where Jack is under-cover and the crew is going to blow up CTU. also Kim is trying to save Megan from her abusive father. Rep for the person who could tell me what season this is cause i don't know |
Second season.
|
I bet you're watching it on A&E as well. 4 hours of 24 every monday.
|
Yeah season 2. I totally forgot about Kim babysitting that kid. God, that was dumb.
|
Yea that was a pretty pointless story line. Meh she needed to do something. Kim always manages to get arrested though. If she were VIC MACKEY'S daughter, there wouldn't be that problem.

Too many seasons if you ask me.
Producers don't know when to end a good thing. Some may not agree with me but I felt Season 4 was a pretty good way to end the show. Jack was on the run, Tony and Michelle were happily ever after. But producers care more about money than a show's rep. i guess. Season 5 has been good, but it should end soon. |
If you love the show enough, 10 years from now you'll dust off the DVD sets, watch it and think, "God, I wish 24 was on FOREVER. :wavesad:"
Sometimes I get tired of shows I love, but then I stop watching for a while... catch reruns in syndication and think, "GOD I love this show. I'm glad they kept going even though I in my infinite wisdom told them to call it quits!" |
The Sentinel is coming out soon in which Keifer plays pretty much plays Jack Bauer in the movie.
I think a 24 movie would suck. it wouldn't have the same effect as the show |
Unless they make the movie 24 hours long. :shifty:
|
120?
|
I remember hearing that when they do the movie, they're hoping to do the first hour like a regular movie, and the second hour in realtime.
Making a movie out of a show like 24 seems like a bad idea. Any show where a problem is introduced and resolved in the same episode could make a successful movie. They can use the 2hrs of the movie to tell a longer story than they'd normally get to in the 30 mins/1hr they usually have. In 24 there is usually one big problem that lasts all season. Sure, it's broken down in to smaller problems throughout, but they all tie into the master scheme of things. I can't imagine the movie having some huge epic plot and only lasting 2 hrs. It seems like a step backwards. Making a movie out of 24 is like making a tv series out of Star Wars.... |

I remember when the first season finished some critics where saying it might be a bit insulting for viewers to accept that Jack was involved in not only 1 hectic day but now two. Well its going to be 8 days. LOL I was thinking of what they could possibly do for another 3 seasons and my brain was pretty racked for ideas. They seem to have done almost everything and getting unrealistic for Jack to somehow keep being involved in the loop. I think if the writers knew this wasnt going to be the last season they would have killed off Palmer , Tony and Michelle because I would have liked to see a season where Jack didnt appear untill half way though the season and we would have characters (add Kim, Billy Boy, Chloe and everyones favorite transivite Audrey) that we know and could follow untill Jack comes. I It would add credibility to the show and refresh it a bit. I would like to see a "cuban missle crisis" type season with 24 and I think one future season should be a "country in war" type. I mean it wouldnt be too hard of a strech given how crisises they have to had to endure over the last few years. I would also like to see them introduce a few characters that are somehow related to earlier characters we have seen in the first few seasons. I mean a character such as Nina's evil revenge seeking sister or George Mason's son trying to uphold his fathers legacy would be kick arse. Or maybe even Tony's brother could appear played by Chave Guerruro. |
the only way I could really see the movie tying into how the show is presented, is to do a whole season, than the last 2 or 3 hours of the finale are the movie
|
Or have the movie be an in-between seasons type movie like the game was. That way you could have all the characters back.
|
Hopefully they'll base one of the next seasons outside L.A.
|
I think the only way they could pull off a movie would be to air a new season of 24, but only air 22 episodes then have the last 2 episodes released in theaters.
|
Holy shit I was on Youtube today and I found this
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ywVvDO4xV...h=Jack%20Bauer  |
From IMDB:
Sutherland Reveals '24' Movie Plans http://ia.imdb.com/media/imdb/01/I/61/23/48s.jpg Hollywood actor Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed popular TV drama 24 is to hit the big screen. Sutherland, who plays federal agent Jack Bauer on the show, recently joked a spoof version would make great cinema viewing. But he now tells MTV.com plans for a straight blockbuster film are already in motion. He says, "The 24 movie would be a two-hour representation of a 24-hour day. That would be the first time that we would not do something in real time, but the characters would obviously all be derivative of the show. The timing issue is something the writers are working on right now. But the sky's the limit at that point for them, because we would not be restricted by the time element." |
Here in the UK, my 21 year old sister and I watched episode 12 where Edgar dies. I was a bit surprised at my sisters reaction: She burst into tears!!! She claimed she would never watch the show again, she then turned on the computer to try to find a way to complain to the producers, she then saw a spoiler about Tony dying, which pissed her off even more. I was a bit shocked to be honest...

Does that mean that the same characters will be in the moive but they will have different histories?? Because I have heard something like that from another source. |
HOLY SHIT AT 24 TONIGHT.
AUDREY WAS BLEEDING LIKE CRAZY. I CRINGED A LITTLE WHEN I SAW IT. NEXT WEEK: GONNA BE HOTTEST EPISODE OF THE SEASON. TONIGHT HAD GOOD WRITING |
OMG. AHAHJSGHSGSHSGHSGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
This is my favorite season so far. |
LOL I am beginning to wonder what Logan's party is... :chin:

|
Finally got around to watching my tape from Monday.
Heller is an idiot. A big honking idiot. Doesn't anybody realize that JACK BAUER IS ALWAYS RIGHT? "Hmmm... He says I can't reason with the President. Therefore, I must be able to." [Later] "Whoopsie." |
Well he is right. A corrupt president would greatly diminish the presidency.
 Art imitates life. |
|
What is your favourite season of 24?
|
Season 1
|
2
|
yeah it's 2 for me.
|
Got to say season 4.
It had so many awesome moments. The almiedanatator coming back and later being reinstated, Jack returning to CTU and shooting the captive in the leg (I swear Im a hetrosexual male but I got a massive erection from that), Jack in the hospital wing choosing the Chinese prisoner over Audrey’s Husband and Palmer and Novack showing their still have it. I swear I have never marked out so much. Special mention to season 2. Season one made me like 24 but season 2 made me love 24. Mason’s death was just immense, Jack, Palmer, Tony and Michelle where all great in it, Sherry and Nina’s return were massive mark out moments and it had a great story line. Kim’s role in it was what made season 4 better. She had a number of crap storylines in it (the babysitting, the cougar and the creep with the bunker) and she had too much focas. Season 1 was good but the later seasons improved on it in terms of structure, ideas and characters. Season 3 was just lacking. |
this season

In order of greatness (starting with most awesome, to least awesome)
4 - 2 - 1 - 3 - 5 |

Good episode, next week looks pretty great as well. Didn't realize there are only 4 episodes left though.
|
great episode tonight. What the hell is going on with Bierko though? Is he still alive?
|
He just doesn't matter anymore.
Jack Bauer makes hijacking airplanes fun! |
Vic Mackey would still rip Jack apart.
|
lol @ chloe zapping the guy and jack putting the air mashall to sleep

Anyway, my brother asked why I like the show. When it comes to movies, I generally hate gratuitous violence and overblown situations. I said this: "Well, Jack needed a tape recorder... so he HIGHJACKED A PLANE! Then, the president wants the tape recorder back, so to get it he's going to SHOOT THE PLANE DOWN. That's just in one episode." Then I explained how everyone is working behind everyone else's back, and that there's a double agent in every department in the government. And the fact that Jack is incapable of human emotion, and YELLS ALL THE TIME ABOUT EVERYTHING. You don't get time to think about the implausibility. So its' fun. But what pisses me off is that between 24 and Prison Break, you don't get any bathroom breaks. They have a full break before the previews for prison break, then 24 starts... so if I tried taking a dump after prison break, I'd have missed the previews. |
From: http://www.darkhorizons.com/news06/060505r.php
Kiefer Sutherland has revealed to UK press outlet The Sun that he will film the movie version of US series drama "24" in London. Sutherland says "The shoot will take place in London and Prague. Then we will use Morocco as a location - probably as an aspect of the Middle East. We'll do the filming a year from now." Its expected the shoot will get underway March/April next year during the show's hiatus. This would put the film on course for a release either late 2007 or Summer 2008 - during or after the show's seventh season. |
FInally Bierko returned... kind of lol
|
I hope Jack beats the shit out of that Miles douchebag. He's been due for one all season.
|
Chloe needs to unload some whoop ass on Miles, then Jack, then Audrey, then Bill, then the homeland girl
|
Why the hell didn't they just make copies of the recording? Or why didn't Jack play it over the phone to CTU earlier?
|
You'd think a piece of evidence of this importance would be guarded with the orders that only Karen or Jack are allowed into the room with Chloe.
|
But next week, Agent Pierce!
|
I always thought the recording would be a fake or something.
|
Anyone else get the feeling that maybe Bierko is going to end up turning on Logan?
First off, why the fuck would you spend half of your troops transferring a terrorist while you're having so much fun fighting other bad guys? Second off, without the recording, it's going to be what's left of CTU vs America. So in comes deus ex machina, the terrorist who worked for Logan will now somehow be his downfall. I HOPE. He's a loose end! And Miles is hilarious. Such a weasel, cast perfectly. |
Can't wait til next week
|
I'm starting to develop a crush on Chloe. :$
But LOL at the outcome. It's probably going to be some huge and explosive affair, and I BET that somehow Bierko takes down the president. If he doesn't, his actions have in fact led to this. And that, my friends, is me being right. If even a little. |
Ok i just finished watching season 4 and it was amazing. I'd say the best seasons in order were 1-2-5-3-4
Who is your favourite 24 villain? Mine is Steven Saunders from season 3 |
Awesome season I must say. Kind of dissapointed Jack didn't blow the prez's head off.
But them Nese came back and they have fucked up by not killing the man. |
That was pretty hot. Sucks that we have to wait til January though.
|
Anyone thinking they will brainwash him and turn him into a terrorist
|
great season, prob more than I enjoyed the previous ones but then again, this is the only season where I saw every single episode.
also, the president would rather die than go to prison, so it was smart of Bauer not to blow his head off. So, the finale was awesome for the first 20 mins, then it got slow and predictable (the micro recording, and asians taking him back) but perhaps predictable cause they were the best moves to use. The finale was all right in total but I've seen better. Next year should be interesting, hopefully ideas are fresh. |
FUCKING GOOKS!
Totally awesome though :'( |
I'm gonna beat the fuck out of the first chinese person I see
|
SICK ending I thought.
By the way, either they messed up the real time or Logan has NO endurance. |
best season finale of all time. i seriously though it was henderson standing in the shadows (he was shot... but no one is really dead until in the ground).
|
FUCK. I'm finally able to watch the whole season and I miss the finale
Someone fill me in. |
Highlight (recap of the finale):
Jack and Henderson secure the sub and stop the missles. Jack kills Henderson. Jack goes after the president with help from Mike Novak, Agent Pierce, and the First Lady. Jack kidnaps Logan on his military chopper and hopes to get a confession from him. Jack tells him "If you think for one second that I would hesitate to put a bullet in your head then you don't know me!" Turns out that Jack couldn't do it and the Secret Service show up to save Logan and arrest Jack. Logan goes to give a speach at the airport next to Pamler's casket and his wife flips out. Logan slaps his wife around a bit and unwillingly confesses while Chloe, the attorney general, and Karen/Bill at CTU (via a mic that Jack planted on Logan). US Marshalls and SS Agents take Logan into custody while his wife and Mike look on. Jack is released and Audrey shows up to share a tender moment. Jack is told that a call from his daughter is coming through and he can answer it on a landline in the wharehouse (where he had Logan). Jack picks up the phone and gets attacked by 3 masked men. He is subdued and dragged off. Audrey finds out that Jack is missing and gets word out to the agents. Jack is shown being dragged (beaten and bloody) into a giant dark room. Out of the shadows comes Cheng Zhi (from last season) and tells Jack that China wasn't just going to forget what happened. Jack tells him " I know how this works. Please just let me make one phone call ... please...... "Just kill me. Kill me." Zhi tells him that he worth alot more alive. The camera pans out of the room to reveal that it wasn't a wharehouse at all, but a giant tanker already on it's way back to China. |
Sick

very
|
very good season finale. Loved it when Jack killed Henderson. marked out huge at the end with the Chinese.
i'm out. bring on season 6 |
I was preparing myself for Jack to die, the minute the Asian guy told Jack he had a call from Kim, I knew something was up. I was gonna cry like a little girl if he died.
|
Good stuff. Good stuff.
|
OMG NINJAS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Question: Did Jack kill that kid who helped them retake the sub? He stalked towards him right before commercial break. He saw Jack/Henderson, so he was a witness I guess so he had to go, right? :( |
I highly doubt it.
|
What happened to the woman and her son from the beginning of the season? I mean, why would you wind up with Audrey, when you could go home to Connie Britton? Eh? Am I right?
|
It was 24 hours... by the end of the day they are all delirious, tired, probably need to take a shit, brush their teeth and eat something... it's the same reason when the ordeal was over, a chinese guy says "we have a call on a land line for you in an abandoned building. It's from the daughter who hates you. She wants to talk to you all of a sudden. Mind you, I am asian and you're wanted by the chinese. Don't be at all suspicious, dude," and Jack was like "oh okay, cool!!!" and the president, lol, thought to put his pen back in his pocket.
|
Quote:
Great season. Great finale. |
Do you guys think that Jack helped Hendersen fake his death? They talked about it earlier that episode, that faking his death would be the only way for Hendersen to escape. That's why the witness was pointed out to the audience
|
So it's Jack vs. China. Sweet.
|
Quote:
I wonder though... Jack said the death was confirmed. That doesn't disprove that it was a setup, it just makes me wonder. Which is good. Imagine... Henderson ends up being some sort of crazy good guy, like Venom to Jack's Spiderman. Who will go into China to help save Jack though? Will it be Curtis? With Chloe back at the command station on their little submarine or whatever? They can turn it into the bloodiest RAMBOesque 24 evar!!!! |
I bet he organizes some sort of coup and frees all the POWs and stuff. Again, like Rambo. And he'll have a whole new team of ops. And he'll find some other former CTU people he thought were dead, and they will help him. OMGZ.
