Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 04:30 PM

John McCargo...ok

BCWWF 04-29-2006 04:30 PM

John McCargo is the man, based on his name

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 04:32 PM

There goes Williams.

Be afraid, NFC

Nervous Ferret 04-29-2006 04:33 PM

Deangelo was "thisclose" to falling to the Jets

BCWWF 04-29-2006 04:33 PM

That's a real good steal for the Panthers

Supreme Olajuwon 04-29-2006 04:37 PM

Ferguson/Justice combo on the Jets line next year?

Nervous Ferret 04-29-2006 04:37 PM

we'll seeeeeeeee

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 04:38 PM

Brick wall of Justice

Supreme Olajuwon 04-29-2006 04:40 PM

Jets have a toooooooooooooon to pick from. DON'T SCREW UP

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 04:51 PM

I think AAA just crashed the server in anger

Nervous Ferret 04-29-2006 04:52 PM

What are we gunna do at 35

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 04:52 PM

RP should be happy too

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 04:53 PM

Somebody like Maurice Drew should be there NerF. Or maybe a guy like Ashton Youboty (sp)

Supreme Olajuwon 04-29-2006 04:55 PM

Mangold is a really good player. Jets people should be happy

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 04:56 PM

His surname is also asking for headlines

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 04:57 PM

SCHRAGER ON THE SCENE: Here's where I have a major problem with the brass down in Tampa. How do you not seize the marketing opportunity, draft Marcedes Lewis, and have your offense re-named "THE GARAGE." Stick Cadillac in the backfield, Mercedes on the line, and find a stripper with the first name "Porsche" to play quarterback. Can you imagine the posters? It would be like Pimp Your Ride with a touch of pewter. Alas, the Jaguars seized the moment, and snagged the potential marketing bonanza that is Marcedes Lewis.

Classic

Nervous Ferret 04-29-2006 04:58 PM

haha

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:00 PM

Ty Law's getting NO money

Nervous Ferret 04-29-2006 05:00 PM

Kiwanuka

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:01 PM

Kiwanuka :wtf:

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:01 PM

Ok well here's where we find if the Texans really are insane.

BCWWF 04-29-2006 05:01 PM

Stima likes him, good pick in my opinion. Strahan can't be there for too much longer.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:03 PM

Yep, they're insane.

David Carr will be crying himself to sleep tonight.

OssMan 04-29-2006 05:03 PM

what a smart pick when you have 2 pro bowlers playing that position and a 2nd year player who already looks good

Supreme Olajuwon 04-29-2006 05:05 PM

Umenyiora/Kiwanuka

I wonder if Tim Biakabutuka is still playing.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:08 PM

Browns traded up to 2nd

Faine was part of the deal, swap for Bentley in the end

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:12 PM

Jets traded to the Skins :|

Nervous Ferret 04-29-2006 05:12 PM

Jets traded with Washingtron  The longer I sit here the angrier I will become

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:15 PM

ESPN guys reckon they're going for a QB (Clemens?) in the 3rd (Jets that is)

They got a 2nd, 6th and next year's 2nd though so hmmm...maybe it works out better for the Jets y'know.

Nervous Ferret 04-29-2006 05:17 PM

Dropped from 35th to 53rd :-\

Skippord 04-29-2006 05:26 PM

50$ we draft LenDale White

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:26 PM

Chad Jackson goes to the Pats after they moved up. Yowtch.

Evil Vito 04-29-2006 05:29 PM

I dunno, this Kiwanuka guy must be pretty nasty if they drafted him despite being stacked at DE.

Theory: Once Greenway and Carpenter (and maybe even Lawson) went off the board, they asked Kiwanuka if he wouldn't mind playing LB and when he said yes they organized a trade.

Skippord 04-29-2006 05:30 PM

WHAT THE FUCK

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:31 PM

Javon Walker is a Bronco

Skippord 04-29-2006 05:31 PM

I see

Skippord 04-29-2006 05:32 PM

I turned and saw Green Bay up I was like WTF?

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:33 PM

I guess it's going to be Ron Dayne time next year.

Skippord 04-29-2006 05:34 PM

Tatum Bell FTW

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:34 PM

Hello Falcons

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:36 PM

Well, there goes Jimmy Williams. That secondary is definitely upgraded now.

Williams, Vick and Mora on the same team. Hooee.

They showed Herm being interviewed before the Chiefs had their pick (I think it was a couple picks before actually) and the Jets fans basically booed him out of the building

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:45 PM

There goes Justice to Philly

HAHA Jets fuckers.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:51 PM

Cards take a lineman. Shocker.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 05:59 PM

Bears replace Mike Green

RoXer 04-29-2006 06:03 PM

Good good. Leinart will feel more comfortable. Now we need a TE.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 06:05 PM

I would laugh if Warner wins a Superbowl this year.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 06:06 PM

Giants coming up

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 06:10 PM

Aaaaaaand there's Moss

Evil Vito 04-29-2006 06:13 PM

Nice.

After reading up on Kiwanuka, apparenty he's a pass-rusher, so maybe he'll be a LB...despite his size.

Nice job picking Moss...if they can nab Marshall or Youboty next they've got a sick draft going

UmbrellaCorporation 04-29-2006 06:19 PM

Lendale White to Titans, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YESSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-29-2006 06:48 PM

Jets get Clemens. Still missing a RB, unless they want to stick with Houston.

RoXer 04-29-2006 07:36 PM

I'm not TOO upset with Fassano going to Dallas. I really hoped the Cards would pick him up in later rounds though.

They still need a TE.

FearedSanctity 04-29-2006 08:02 PM

Denver didn't take a WR, but I like Cutler, so Shanahan lives...for now

FearedSanctity 04-29-2006 08:04 PM

Denver better take Bloom though

Also, how long is each pick in the 3rd round?

RoXer 04-29-2006 08:07 PM

Drew to the Jags. Not sure they needed him though.

Crimson 04-29-2006 08:20 PM

Fuckin Patriots got Jackson, i cant believe he dropped that low. Cowboys still need some db's , I like both picks thus far though.

BCWWF 04-29-2006 09:08 PM

I completely missed it, but somehow the Vikings traded for the Steelers second round pick and drafted Alabama State's quarterback. Still don't know what was traded for it, or why they didn't take Croyle...I thought we got rid of Tice?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-29-2006 11:25 PM

Don't sleep on David Thomas, didn't he have like 10 grabs in the Rose Bowl? Patriots draft was pretty bomb, bit surprised they got no defensive players but I still like it anyways. Assuming they will pick some type of a defensive player tomrrow. At the sametime a lot of people where thinking CB but I don't think so, they got a corner and safety in last years draft and the 2 draft before that they got Scott from Florida who has been injuried the last 2 seasons. So they actually got some players in the secondary, just none of them can stay healthy

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-29-2006 11:29 PM

And about Kiwi moving to linebacker on the Giants, I don't think so. He has never played that position at all and I don't think he would be a good fit at all. I think he could be a very good defensive end in time, he needs some work but he had a great junior season then tailed off a bit his senior year. He was injuried for a lot of that year too though due a cheapshot by some faggot on Virgina (Tackle opposite D'Brickashaw)

Evil Vito 04-29-2006 11:46 PM

Well that's good to hear...guessing it's gonna be a dogfight between Justin Tuck and Kiwi the next 2 years to see who replaces Strahan

They took some ILB named Gerris Wilkinson with their 3rd pick. Never heard of him...I would have gone for Gabe Watson at DT, personally

Pats made like bandits here

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-30-2006 12:20 AM

PATS GONNA BE BACK NIGGAS

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-30-2006 12:20 AM

Hopefully they draft a kicker to replace that faggot Gramatica though, can't believe that signed that asshole.

BCWWF 04-30-2006 01:00 AM

Pats had a good draft, so did the Titans, I'd say the Broncos also had a good day.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-30-2006 01:06 AM

Why did they draft Cutler after Pumbler help lead them to the AFC title game?

Skippord 04-30-2006 01:31 AM

So that we can groom Cutler for 1-2 years and he can play in his third

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-30-2006 01:36 AM

I think it is going to fuck up with Plumbers head and make him lose all his confidence. Resulting in Denver having an 8-8 season or something like that. Maybe it will be like the Drew Brees thing, where Plumber will feel the heat and do really good. I don't think so though, I just don't see Plumber viewing it like that, especially with his past history.

RoXer 04-30-2006 01:53 AM

Also, the Cardinals had a pretty good draft as well.

Yeah, I don't know, but we'll see I guess. Taylor is getting up there and teams like to have their RBs young. I like that Pearman kid they have backing Freddy up now though, but I don't work for their player management. I'm not sold on that Marcedes cat either.

RP 04-30-2006 02:19 AM

/sigh

I'm not sure what the Colts were doing in this draft. I like Joseph Addai ( Mainly because i've won the Hiesman with him in NCAA 06 ), but Dominick Rhodes, given a few games to get into starter mode, will probably be just as serviceable as Joseph Addai for the next 3 years. And considering who was left on the board ahead of him. We could have helped ourselves alot more by not taking a running back with that pick. I really thing either Demeco Ryans or Winston Justice should have been this pick. Specifically Justice considering we showed a few flaws in protection last year and Mario Williams was drafted by the Texans specifically to stop Peyton Manning. Howard Mud is one of the best O line coaches in the game and would develope him into monster.

RP 04-30-2006 02:30 AM

Hey Stima. Enjoy that 4.85 40 time you just drafted at Rb. Is there any truth to the rumor that The Patriots drafted him to spite the Colts? That Jackson pick was clutch though.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-30-2006 02:37 AM

200 yards againest a Ohio State defense with 3 first round picks

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-30-2006 02:44 AM

Oops sorry he got 262 yards rushing (43 carries) in the game before the Ohio State game (Wisconsin)

He had 25 carries for 127 againest OSU also had a 46 carry game againest Purdue (217 yards)

Supreme Olajuwon 04-30-2006 02:49 AM

I'm pretty happy about the Bengals draft. Jonathan Joseph was someone they needed and that guy from LSU looks pretty nasty. Bye bye Willie Anderson though :wavesad:

RP 04-30-2006 02:53 AM

Thats about 5 and 4 yards a carrie. He need every bit of those carries to accumulate those yards. 4.8 is pretty slow. Emmitt Smith was considered slow. I think Bettis rana 4.6 or 7. I think your first rounder will be a bust . Your 2nd rounder might be a star.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-30-2006 02:53 AM

Also I dunno where RP gets his info but Maroney ran a 4.47 at his pro day workout.

Yeah and he was the only 100 yard rusher against the Bucks this year.

They would know. :y:

Skippord 04-30-2006 03:34 AM

Tennesee Had a good draft

Supreme Olajuwon 04-30-2006 03:46 AM

They got a solid WR in the first round and a good RB in the second. They should be pumped.

CNM 04-30-2006 04:31 AM

I see what you did there

5 yards a pop is bad now? If anything that shows that his 200 yards wasn't a fluke off some 88 yard run or something.

Ohio State had one of the best defenses in the nation last year, and he wasn't exactly playing with a all star team up in Minnesota. He was still able to put up huge numbers despite that.

BCWWF 04-30-2006 12:47 PM

Jets just got Brad Smith, the man.

I don't know why the Packers traded that pick to NE where they took Jackson. The Packers shoulda taken Chad Jackson THEN trade Walker to the Broncos for the next pick..so they woulda had back to back picks and a replacment for Walker already..idiots

Supreme Olajuwon 04-30-2006 02:02 PM

They drafted Greg Jennings who is a pretty good WR. He'll start playing real quick.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-30-2006 02:04 PM

Also what the fuck is wrong with Arizona? They aren't supposed to be the ones who draft four 1st round level players.

Mr. Monday Morning 04-30-2006 02:43 PM

Anybody care to explain why St Louis would draft more than one TE (could say the same for the Pats actually, although they have actually, you know, proved they know what they're doing most of the time) I'd love to hear it

The Miz 04-30-2006 03:43 PM

Pretty boring Seahawk draft. Filled a few needs but no shockers like we're used to. Taking USC's FB was stupid though, I forget his name.

Crimson 04-30-2006 07:02 PM

I think I heard Kiper said he was the best FB in the draft, unless it was someone else. And Strong is gettin old.

The Miz 04-30-2006 07:30 PM

Strong is getting old, and that is why we have Weaver. Kirtman is not a dominant blocker and can't carry the ball at all so why waste a pick on him? He's the kind of guy you would use a 7th round pick on, there were still many players remaining that could have helped us alot more than this guy.

Jerichoholic 04-30-2006 08:54 PM

I have a man crush on Ethan Kilmer, I hope he does good things in Cincinati.
