The main event wasn't fun, Micheals in not champion.

No, you are wrong as well.

Further more, why even bring out Taz and Styles to announce one match?

The end result doesn't always matter. The fact that Cena winning pisses me off actually entertains me more than seeing HBK winning i think.

I think I got everything wrong in tipsters lol...

what a worthless ppv

I cant believe Cena won again...I feel its leading up to one more match between HBK and Cena where Cena will win and HBK will shake his hand finally and that will be it.

Summerslam HBK v.s Cena III

Jordan 04-30-2007 12:19 AM

It'd probably be Hell in a Cell, which I would be all for, they work amazing together. I'd pay to see it, they'd have to top their Raw match and Wrestlemania match, it would be pretty sweet if they did.

HeartBreakMan2k 04-30-2007 12:22 AM

Michaels should destroy Cena... like.. literally destroy Cena and Summerslam. Total squash match. That is the only way WWE can rectify this.

UNFORGIVEABLE

Shaggy 04-30-2007 12:42 AM

Im hoping for Cena to lose the belt at Vengeance....so I can be there in person to have a heart attack with happiness...

RGWhat316 04-30-2007 12:53 AM

I'd say a solid ppv, despite Cena winning again and the atrocity of Vince winning the ECW title and showing off in front of the originals. So much for my predictions of the US and Women's title changing.

Mercury Bullet 04-30-2007 02:01 AM

I actually watched this PPV, and all-in-all I found it okay. A solid C-, would have been C+/B- had Vince not won the ECW Belt and Cena not retained via getting KO'd and falling on top of Orton. Batista-Taker was about as good of a match as Batista can put on, which isn't saying much, but at least it reached its potential. All the "explosions" after that spot seemed a little WSX-ish.

Anyway, overall my grade is C- for Backlash.

Dave Youell 04-30-2007 04:15 AM

I woke up for a feed (for the baby) with 10 mins to go and the finish to the 4 ways looked awesome.

Vince as ECW sounds funny to me, hopefully this means one of the originals will feud for the title, I'd like to say Van Dam, but I heard he's turned down a new contract.

The idea of Sandman caning Vince however pleases me greatly

wwe2222 04-30-2007 10:25 AM

I liked the Undertaker-Batista match again surprisingly...and I was happy to see Batista really selling that leg injury the whole match :y:

Didn't even think of that, and yes the finishes were pretty good, some good 'wtf' moments there.

As for what I would give this PPV in terms of grades, I would say B- tbh.

BigDaddyCool 04-30-2007 11:04 AM

I would rate it hmmmmmmmmmm, an D. It would have been a C if 'Taker actaully beat Bats instead of both going down for a 10 count. Also, the ending to the 10 count didn't make any since. Why would Bats use a spear to take out 'Taker which would also send Bat's flying off the stage. At that point Bats should have been working smarter and just trying to knock taker off the stage, and leaving himself on the stage. He could win the title if they are both knocked out. 'Taker should have been the one to knock them both of the stage, if they were both counted out (which they were) he would have still been Champion (which he is). Looking at it that way, that match drops to a C+ from a solid B.

Though the women's match was pretty decent. Me and my girlfriend were laughing at Melina's facial expressions when she was choking out Mikie from the top rope. The whole "I'm sorry Mr. Refferee, sir, I didn't know I was doing anything wrong" face was priceless, then right back to choking out Mikie. That match was probably the best of the night, I would get it an A-, simply because I didn't know about the build up, plus it gives them room for improvement. Beniot v MVP was a B+, it would have been an A if Power Ranger won.

DAMN iNATOR 04-30-2007 01:45 PM

I'd give the whole show a B...pretty solid performance by most, despite quite a few dull stretches, all in all one of the best Backlash PPV's I've watched in it's 9 year history if not possibly THE best one to date...but that's just IMHO.

TBH...

Londoner 04-30-2007 01:53 PM

I would say its the best backlash since the one in 2000, Backlash has been treated like shit but this had a different feel to it, probably cause they're using both rosters now. That's why it felt more 'solid'.
