1. Ken v Ryu. Ant took it and I woke up and got serious.

2. Cammy v Balrog. I swept the series, but he gave me some trouble. He is an unconventional Cammy player. Threw me off. Every fight was "next hit wins."

3. Akuma v Bison. Swept this one too. Ant, you're playing Akuma like Ken and that doesn't work.

4. C. Viper v Sagat. I took the first round and then he dstroyed me the next. Squeeked out the last 2 rounds barely. His play style keeps forcing me to make mistakes.

5. Ken v Blanka. Never have I ever been so badly humiliated with Blanka. Shut me down completely. Mad props.

6. Cammy v Sagat. Ant straight swept me again. Uh oh, it's going the distance...

7. Ryu v Balrog. Balrog is my Ryu killer but Ant took it all the way to the final round. It's down to like 1 or 2 hits each, he goes for the hadouken, which he uses very effectively, and I bust out the Ex Straight and take it.

Ant is basically the man.

Sorry about the delay after the first fight tho. Had some unexpected guests and I was held up.

During my last 7 fight session with RoXer I realize my attack tactic in Street Fighter IV is very similar to Spartan tactics.

Turtling while slowly advancing and then murdering all in your path once you get close?

Boomer takes our match 4-2.

Round 1: Balrog/Cammy: 'Rog has always been one of my kryptonites. He dominated, 3-0.
Round 2: Bison/Ken: I did well, winning 3-1.
Round 3: Guile/Ryu: A double KO! in round one. I need to stop jumping into flash kicks.
Round 4: Cammy/Fei: Boomer's got a nice Cammy. 3-0 for him.
Round 5: Balrog/Ken: I found my cure for 'Rog in Ken. 3-1 for me.
Round 6: Guile/Cammy: I kinda suck with Cammy now. Real close to a comeback at the end of round 3 when I hit the Gyrodrive Smasher and left Guile with a sliver of life. Unfortunately I only had a sliver as well. 3-0 Guile.

Our match is over. I beat Blitz 4-2.

Match 1 - Balrog v. Cammy (3-0)
Pretty quick match. Was spamming straights for some reason, but was pressuring him into the corner as you should.

Match 2 - Bison v. Ken (1-3)
I figured I would save at least one Bison match against a Ken/Ryu, but the strategy didn't work out. I felt really rusty with Bison honestly, since I've been practicing up on everybody else. Blitz jumps back a lot, so that defends Bison's Head Stomp perfectly. He handled me pretty easily, which disappointed me just because I like playing Bison so much.

Match 3 - Guile v. Ryu (3-1)
Been having a lot of fun with Guile lately, and was looking forward to playing vs. a shoto. I played a pretty patient Guile, but I still have a few patterns I'd like to get rid of. Useless EX flash kicks and stuff. Really love pulling Guile's Ultra in a timely manner, but didn't get a chance in this match.

Match 4 - Cammy v. Fei Long (3-0)
EX Hooligan FTW.

Match 5 - Balrog v. Ken (1-3)
Blitz is obviously best with Ken, and I still don't have Balrog down well enough to play Blitz's jump-in style. Kept trying to do an EX Buffalo but I'm not well practiced with that move just yet. Honestly surprised I won a match in this one.

Match 6 - Guile v. Cammy (3-0)

The last hit came down to the wire, but I figured with an EX Flash Kick I was pretty safe. I almost gave it up though. Didn't want him stealing any momentum.

Well I only used Bison once and lost with him, so are you all happy?

Blitz is fairly aggressive with Ken, but far too defensive with everybody else. And he jumps a lot, which someone better than me would punish greatly.

Good series I see. Going gold today so I'm gonna have a short session with whoever (if I could stop playing Transformers for a sec). Really liking the characters you guys are choosing.

Transformers has damn fun multiplayer. Been playing on my bro's GT all night. Surprisingly strategic once you work out the 'flow' of it all. Nobody's online, though. :(

Kind of a story so far right now as my XBox locked up reloading the lobby after the 3rd match and when I came back on G was gone as well so trying to get it reset for the last matches.

First: Akuma/Sakura. Started the first round like shit, woke up (caffiene I chugged before hand must have kicked in or something) and came back into it. ended up taking him 3-1

Second: Balrog/Akuma. Same story here, I thought G was a secret Akuma master to start, couldn't touch him. Came back and took that first round and then perfected the second round. Took it 3-0

Third: Ryu/Ken. G won all the arial battles so I had to take it to the ground. If I can give G's Ken a tip, he gets far too aggressive making it easy for fireballs when he gets up off the ground. Won that 3-0


Just shot him a PM, see if we can finish this tonight.

RULES:

- Higher seed fights on the RIGHT side of the screen. (Meaning, if you are the lower seed, you must create the lobby and send the invite to your opponent. Example: #16 is on the left, #1 is on the right)

- Time Limit: 99, Rounds: 5

- Best of 7

- 4 character minimum OR you can only use the same character twice. However you want to describe it.

TIPS:

- Clean up your connection. Do what you can, at least. Stop downloading porn/movies/whatever. Tell your MOM to get off the computer, you're playing in a fighting video game tournament for an internet wrestling message board. I think the only one who had an iffy connection anyway was Drakul and I think it's because he lives in wherever he lives. We shouldn't have too much of a problem connecting to each other. I don't think.

- Bust out the legal pad and crayon. The only way we can get your results is by your first hand account. So after a match, try to do your best to dramatically recreate what just happened. Don't concentrate so hard on your summary that it distracts you from the game, but a little effort would be appreciated. Sure you could say "I lost 4-2" and be done with it, but a little drama would be appreciated. It also helps to keep track of who you used, who they used and what happened.

- Take a break between matches. Like 2-6 minutes or so. Take a breather.

I had some terrible games against G3-As tonight. Only one was better than his ranking seemed (a sick-ass Balrog), and some were terrrrrrible but I still lost. Rather be off tonight than whenever I lose to Super V.

Vega(KxD) vs Honda(tcc)

My first fight in ages pretty much went as expected. My timing was off, and I'm trying to throw with BLAZBLUE COMBINATIONS. thecc's Honda took advantage and slapped me around literally. My expectations for myself dwindled.

Thecc wins, 3-1.

Fight 2:

Sakura(KxD) vs Ryu(tcc)

I knew my Sakura was gonna be a major force, and I needed something to bring my hopes up. Fortunately, Ryu's are my favorite prey for Sakura. I played the distance and let thecc toss away with the fireballs. I was patient and let him make the missteps. One round saw me choke hard, but I relented. I was happy he wasn't privy to some of Ryu's dirtier tricks.

Kalyx wins, 3-1.

Fight 3:

Vega(KxD) vs Bison(tcc)

I usually have issues with Bison, and my Vega gave me bad tastes in my mouth - I was worried. I actually played out of fear, begging for Bison to leap at me. I get the feeling thecc isn't too strong with Bison, so maybe this was his chance to exorcise a weak link. Thank God.

Kalyx wins, 3-1.

Fight 4:

Sakura(KxD) vs Ken(tcc)

If Ryu is prey to Sakura, Ken is her bitch. I smiled at this one. Although, thecc was becoming knowledgeable of my exploits at this point. Unfortunately Ken was not the character to start getting his act together with. This match was strictly a frame game, he couldn't keep up.

Fight 5:

Ken(KxD) vs Ryu(tcc)

This match was kinda hype, but mostly because I was taking risks like a motherfucker. I was completely expecting to lose this one, because Ken's a fucking tool. Yet... well... I guess thecc lost his fire or whatever. My stunts paid off when they shouldn't have. His Ryu could have done better against my worst character (whom I retired mostly, he's in cause I needed four). I was half hoping he'd beat his ass so I can send in Killer Bee herself, but Ken took the series home.

Kalyx wins, forgot the score.

Good series, and I felt energized. Back in the spirit, I say. Feeling pumped for round three! Nice fights, thecc, you put me in the mood to fight!

Watching the EVO Semis and Finals was a blast. So many good matches over and over.

Heard Daigo vs J.Wong was hype-gasm.

It was awesome. Almost went down to the absolute last match. J.Wong played a basic Balrog and almost almost beat Daigo. The first best of five came down to the fucking wire.

I most enjoyed watching this guy Juicebox's Abel. He got fucked up easily later by a good Dhalsim, but fucking destroyed some guys. Most impressive Abel I've seen.

No Sagats or Seths in the Final 8 either. Three people playing Akumas though I believe.

Akumas life bar is such a hinderance he's actually well balanced for the first time ever in a SF game.

I have no motivation to play this anymore, for some reason. Can't get into it at all.

I get so so so so many disconnects in Championship Mode. My god its terrible. Everybody must be downloading too many bittorrent files while they are playing or something.

I honestly probably wont be able to finish out the whole bracket. My TV has to be packed up within the week, and I won't be able to unpack it I imagine for at least a few weeks. Moving into a new place and going out of town for training will makes things pretty impossible.

Blitz defeats G 4-3.

Round 1: Cammy/Sakura: I got perfected 2nd round but did fine otherwise. 3-1. This sorta set the tone for our series, as I continuously jumped/Spiral Arrowed into Ultras/supers.

Round 2: Cammy/Ken: Spiral arrow into supers means 3-1 Ken.

Round 3: Ken/Akuma: Usually I can avoid the Raging Demon no prob, but not here. 3-0 Akuma.

Round 4: Ryu/Akuma: Played much more disciplined. Avoided the Demon and took it 3-0.

Round 5: Ryu/Ryu: Hadouken fest on both sides. We traded rounds but I succumbed to another Ultra in the final round.

Round 6: Ken/ Fei Long: Not much to say here, I won 3-0

Round 7: Fei Long/Zangief: Fei's quickness was too much for 'Gief. Lost the first round but otherwise dominated with jump ins and Shienkyakus.



Good fights. I feel like we're pretty well matched.

Not gonna recap since Kalyx did an awesome job at it. Even though I lost I feel really motivated to play now. Gonna jam to Reign Supreme whenever I play though.

I lost to Super V 4-2. Had a d/c in match 3 that we ended up playing over because my CAT5 popped out of my 360 since its currently taped on. I was close on a number of matches, and am very proud of my play. Especially a few timely Ultras that he left open. And he taped the matches so you'll get to pick me and him apart.

Let me see if I can remember enough to recap

Match 1: Balrog v. Rufus

I was handled pretty easily in this one. Trying to get me with Dive Kick crossups that I was blocking pretty well, but I just didn't have much of an answer. Remember I called an early Ultra in hopes the chip would be close enough to finish him but I estimated incorrectly.

Match 2: Bison v. Abel

Probably my best match. After some initial struggle I found that he didn't have much of an answer for me punishing him with normals.

Match 3: Guile v. Dan

He was up 2-0 at the d/c, but insisted that we start from the beginning because shit happens. I won a few close ones that I probably shouldn't have and ended up winning 3-2 if I remember correctly. I'm pretty scared of his Dan after playing it numerous times.

Match 4: Cammy v. Zangief

I threw Cammy out there just so I didn't get stuck in game 7 with her. I actually managed to play her really terrible and give him a run for his money. Constant Spike misses resulted in many a powerbomb, however. Basically just did jump-ins with the occasional Spike anti-air. Just made too many mistakes to be able to win.

Match 5: Guile v. Rufus

Decimation. He was warmed up with Rufus at this point, and I couldn't remember Guile's anti-air normal. Can't remember much else.

Match 6: Bison v. Balrog

I played him close, but if he got damage on me he got it good. He perfected me one match, but I pulled a perfect Ultra that I was baiting him into one round. Will look forward to seeing that on video. Might have been able to pull this one out on another day.

Match 1 'll be up shortly. My camera's battery died durin that last fight (arrgh!). Gonna try to have em all up by Wednesday the latest. Hopefully my comments durin the fights aren't too annoying (couldn't help myself). lol

Oh but I did get that Ultra you caught me with. I'll up it regardless. That Ultra left me almost speechless.

I hit a good Ultra in the Dan match too that I just remembered. I always feel impressive pulling Guile's or Vega's with perfect timing. I feel like most people don't expect Guile players to use the Ultra that much since it isn't exactly amazing or anything.

After the Guile vs. Dan match I was pretty worried you were gonna take the series. I don't fight too many good Guile players. Pretty good recap. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Minus that ridiculous Youtube Guile combo video I haven't seen many good ones either. I have to say once I can effectively use his air grab and get a few good combos, I will enjoy playing him a lot.

Balrog needs plenty of work...I just can't pull things when I want to. In our first match I caught you with a Buffalo that was an obvious setup for Ultra, but I just haven't been able to pull in off in practice correctly. It would have won me the match, if I remember.

Would you prefer I upload them after the tournament? I forgot it is double elimination and you still have matches.

I could care less, honestly. I welcome all chances to make me a better player. I don't think I'm too predictable most of the time anyway. (Except with Guile and those stupid easy blockable Flash Kicks)
