bret: no

bret:...no
vince: um...lemme see, we'll dress michaels in a dress and have HHH fuck him in the ass.

He did a decent job recovering it. he was on Off the Record after being in recovery from the stroke, a few years back, and he said he was already back to being able to bench 280 pounds... which is un fucking real since he had a stroke like a year or 2 before.

Xero 12-19-2009 01:13 PM

Well in that case, hope he isn't subject to WWE's drug tests.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if he got piss tested and suspended?

Ol Dirty Dastard 12-19-2009 01:17 PM

280 pounds isn't that much for someone like Bret though... I mean I'm pretty sure I could almost max out at somewhere near 280 and it's not all that much weight. I bet you in his prime he was maxxing out probably around 400 pounds. But 280 after having a stroke is unbelievable.

http://www.booklounge.ca/blogs/images/Hart1.jpg a more recent hitman picture

Ol Dirty Dastard 12-19-2009 01:18 PM

He's not as pretty as he used to be... but he sure looks a hell of a lot better than Piper/Flair etc. He's prolly more akin to Ricky Steamboat.

Mr. C 12-19-2009 02:31 PM

WrestleMania 24 was an example of how Shawn Michaels can carry talent by letting them get their spots in without trying too much.

Bret Hart/Vince McMahon is more likely, but not a match I’d be interested in. In fact, it would be not befitting of a career that was highlighted by never really having a bad match and such a waste of an opportunity. One match is pushing it, though, and there’s no sense in doing anything but Michaels for WrestleMania.

Xero 12-19-2009 02:43 PM

But Flair could actually work. Doubt Bret could do more than a brawl, which is why Vince makes sense. I'd rather see Bret vs. Vince in a brawl than to watch Michaels vs Bret and be completely disappointed in the quality (well, I wouldn't expect much, but others would).

At least with Bret vs. Vince, you'd know what to expect.

Xero 12-19-2009 02:44 PM

I still believe that we won't see Bret and Shawn in the same ring at the same time. If we do, I have a feeling it will be a one-off angle, possibly at Mania (before which they never crossed paths in any way, shape or form).

Ol Dirty Dastard 12-19-2009 02:47 PM

I don't believe Bret should wrestle at all... all I'm saying is he looks presentable and sharp, as opposed to Flair and Piper who look god awful.

Noone should lay their hands onhim either it is too much of a health risk. He needs to be a manager, that's it.

Xero 12-19-2009 02:49 PM

If you think we're not going to see someone take something from Bret your crazy. We might not see any offense on HIM (doubt we'll see him take a bump), but a Sharpshooter is almost a given.

CSL 12-19-2009 02:49 PM

Not to mention he'll be liable for a lot of money if he actually were to wrestle

This. Though I'm sure WWE could cover him. I just think it would be wrong on so many levels for him to wrestle.

But then again noone thought Shawn Michaels would work again. But a stroke is a little different to a bum back.

The MAC 12-19-2009 03:46 PM

bret will throw a punch and a sharpshooter. You will never see a match unless bret wants to get sued for insurance fraud. I doubt theres a way around lloyds

Ol Dirty Dastard 12-19-2009 04:26 PM

You just have to pay out your insurance.

Savio 12-19-2009 05:24 PM

he needs to dye his hair black

Savio 12-19-2009 05:29 PM

they should have a short match @ mania where Bret beats him down and get him in the middle of the ring for a sharpshooter he locks it in a you hears Vince scream "ring the bell, RING THE FUCKING BELL!"

Mr. C 12-19-2009 05:43 PM

This feud is so personal between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

<img src=http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/5689/080505.jpg>

As Michaels has never publicly apologized for his role in Montreal, I find it funny that people are saying that the only match Hart could possibly have right now is with Vince McMahon. The thought of Vince even throwing a punch makes me cringe, let alone with a weapon. It’s clear that Hart and McMahon are fine at this point.

Rob 12-19-2009 06:02 PM

Bret Hart has NOT signed with WWE.

It is however a matter of time before he does and he is coming back for one last match.

I really didn't want to hear this news but I've known for weeks he was not only talking about guest hosting, but making a one time in-ring comeback. It will not be a straight up wrestling match though.

This return is pretty aggrivating. I just got the guy's book not too long ago. Now I have to go on reading this book knowing that his return to WWE will not be covered in it. What a son of a bitch.

Mr. Nerfect 12-19-2009 10:14 PM

I was waiting to see what Rob said. It seems likely we'll get Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon in a Street Fight for WrestleMania 26. Intriguing, in a way.

Bret does have a lot to gain by signing with the WWE. He gets his name back out there, as he's been running off the fuel from his earlier fame for years now. This renews Bret's reservoirs a bit. Bret could also use this to segue into a WWE Films role, and perhaps even get some sort of lifetime Legends deal. I can see Owen Hart being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2010, and Bret also has a nephew on the WWE roster and a son who is training to wrestle.

It's just a smart maneuver to sign with the WWE right now.

The MAC 12-20-2009 01:20 AM

for a guy who has had a stroke and his head tap danced on he looks pretty good. That one eye is open a lil more than the other. He could dye his hair and wear shades and he would look very close to how he appeared 10 years ago

look at the size of vince in that pic. Roids really do work!

Jeritron 12-20-2009 01:25 AM

This reminds me of that time Mayweather no-showed Wrestlemania in Orlando

Mr. Nerfect 12-20-2009 01:37 AM

I would love to see Bret Hart become a sort of driving force behind The Hart Dynasty. If the WWE are looking to push younger stars, I don't see the problem with giving the nod to Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith.

Kidd is 29 years old, and has been wrestling for 15 years next year. As far as small guys go, few bring the credibility that Kidd does. His training and style just has a bit more "oomph" behind it than most smaller guys. DH Smith is 23 years old, and could realistically be the youngest World Champion in WWE history should they decide to give him a push. He has some size to him, seems charismatic enough, and has been in a wrestling ring since he was 8 years old.

He's had years off and has kept himself in shape. His body has had time to recoup, even from the stroke. He's not going to be the hitman of old but believe me the guy is still going to have something legit to offer. If anyone is expecting more than what he gives, it would be foolish.

I bet you watching a 52 year old Hitman work one match (if that's the plan) will be better than anything 3 quarters of the roster can offer.

Look at Jerry Lawler work... I mean the guy is able to get the crowd into his matches and he pretty much just punches and does a fist drop... his psycology and timing are impeccable though, and he's limited but he does what he does well.

The surprise wouldn't bring in nearly as much ratings as the advertised return of Bret Hart. You have to realize that ratings is what it's all about here anyhow. For us avid fans that watch on a weekly basis, the surprise would be fucking awesome but it's about more than just us diehard wrestling fans. Anybody who was ever a fan of Bret Hart is going to want to experience this and the WWE knows it.

It's funny that you mention that now he matches with HBK in that respect.

The MAC 12-21-2009 06:06 AM

and how the fuck does he match HBK exactly?

I think he's speaking in regards to the ''for a guy who has had a stroke and his head tap danced on he looks pretty good. That one eye is open a lil more than the other''.

In that they both have a frigged up eye surely you can't have missed that.

Well also, at least Bret still has his hair.

Bret always was the better looking of the two.

Vince needs to let Hart and Michaels just have it out. Let them say whatever they want. The match could be lackluster, but epic.

RP 12-22-2009 06:37 AM

The MAC cuts himself on the penis everytime anyone says anything bad about Bret Hart.

I would much rather see a Bret-Vince Street Fight than painfully endure Bret and Shawn trying desperately to recapture their mid 90s magic. I'd mark out for a Bret/Vince brawl. I'd feel sad for a Bret/HBK match.

The MAC 12-22-2009 02:50 PM

well the storyline could be if bret beats shawn then he will get vince alone in the ring. Shawn and bret have to face each other. We have seen bret and vince breathe the same air. Its time shawn returned the favour and jobbed to hart.

Shawn could pull a good match out of a tin can and Bret could do the same in his day. I highly doubt another Bret/Shawn encounter would be Wrestlecrap material.

 return the favor?:

The whole reason this shit happened is because Bret wouldn't do the favor.

Nark Order 12-22-2009 03:31 PM

And Shawn Michaels has never refused a job? I mean, I'm a Shawn fan but come the fuck on here guy.

James Steele 12-22-2009 03:41 PM

Two wrongs don't make a right, guy.

Jeritron 12-22-2009 04:08 PM

I will say, being a pain in the ass about jobbing when you're on the way out the door is way different than being a pain in the ass about jobbing when you're in good standing as the top guy
