As if someone needs to pay Curt Schilling to get his thoughts

FakeLaser 04-04-2010 01:39 PM

Pumped as hell

Jeritron 04-04-2010 01:45 PM

Good luck by the way

Supreme Olajuwon 04-04-2010 03:26 PM

Jeritron 04-04-2010 03:29 PM

I forgot to ask you Frazor...why are there asterisks after the Red Sox and Dodgers?

DaveWadding 04-04-2010 03:42 PM

I assume because they're the WC teams?

Jeritron 04-04-2010 03:44 PM

What?

DaveWadding 04-04-2010 03:45 PM

because they are the Wild Card teams.

Jeritron 04-04-2010 03:46 PM

good call

Jeritron 04-04-2010 03:46 PM

Can't wait for the Yankees to lose tonight

Jeritron 04-04-2010 04:07 PM

Giants/Mariners exhibition. What the hell is this crap?

Droford 04-04-2010 04:16 PM

The Orioles don't start til tuesday, which absolutely sucks.

Jeritron 04-04-2010 04:19 PM

I'm going to see them job to the Red Sox on April 30th-May 2nd

Droford 04-04-2010 04:24 PM

Thats in the middle of a brutal stretch for the Os where they only play the Yankees/Red Sox from April 23 to May 5 and its bookended by a trip to Seattle before and a trip to Minnesota after.

then they do it again June 1-10 with only Yankee/Red Sox games.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-04-2010 04:25 PM

I think it's fair to say Baltimore's brutal stretch goes from about early April to early October.

Love that AL East

Jeritron 04-04-2010 04:29 PM

The Red Sox pretty much have a home crowd at Camden

the 2nd half of May through June could actually be good if the schedule holds true to form:

3 vs Cleveland
2 vs KC
2 @ Texas
3 @ DC
3 vs Oakland
3 @ Toronto

Thats a 16 game span that they should do well in. Leapfrog that 10 day stretch vs Red Sox/Yankees to start June off and then they get:

3 vs NYM
3 @ SF
3 @ SD
3 vs Florida
3 vs DC
3 vs Oakland

This year they are also doing everything they can to encourage
more Os fans to show up even though they raised ticket prices for prime games vs Red Sox/Yankees (doesn't make sense though does it?)

Jeritron 04-04-2010 04:49 PM

There are like 5 people there for this Giants/Mariners exhibition

Droford 04-04-2010 04:56 PM

Why are they playing a ST game in the rain like that?

Jeritron 04-04-2010 05:01 PM

It's awful. I guess both teams are bullshit too, because they have 15-20 day schedules after this.

An exhibition in the rain, on opening day. What's the point? It's particularly awful that it's at a real ballpark too.
Lots of awkward silences from the broadcast team

Evil Vito 04-04-2010 08:41 PM

Alrighty then, another year of trying to win MLB's Beat the Streak.

*picks Kevin Youkilis tonight due to not wanting to start the year by picking a Yankee*

Droford 04-04-2010 08:52 PM

I went with Victor Martinez

Droford 04-04-2010 09:13 PM

this game might not take 5 hours to play lol

ClockShot 04-04-2010 09:30 PM

Jorge's homer of the pole.

ClockShot 04-04-2010 09:32 PM

Ain't Curtis Grand?

thecc 04-04-2010 09:33 PM

Welcome to the Yankees Granderson

ClockShot 04-04-2010 09:43 PM

I don't like YES' new scoreboard graphic. Put the thing in the corner, not a few inches away from it.

Evil Vito 04-04-2010 09:44 PM

WOOOOO Youk! 1 game hitting streak in Beat the Streak! :shifty:

Seeing Granderson do something good in his debut with a new team has inspired me to pick Jason Bay for tomorrow.

Evil Vito 04-04-2010 10:07 PM

lol Angel Hernandez makes a bad call. What a shocker. Dude is probably the worst ump in the majors

MVP 04-04-2010 11:16 PM

Rough start for Beckett on Opening Day. A rare occurance.

Triple Naitch 04-04-2010 11:36 PM

Brand new ballgame here, lads.

Droford 04-04-2010 11:46 PM
