This was sad news to wake up to today.

One of the best. They'll never be another one like Paul Bearer.

R.I.P. :(

One of the best and most down to earth men I've ever met; he was amazing to work with and full of so much knowledge for the younger generations. He had one of the greatest senses of Humor ever.

I can't believe in his whole career he only had one match, usually managers have a handful of matches, and he was a superb manager

ClockShot 03-06-2013 04:49 PM

Fuck. I had a lousy day at work and I came home to this. This sucks.

Thanks for the memories, Paul.

Rest in Peace.

Xero 03-06-2013 05:35 PM

Saw this last night. Really depressed me. He's truly one of the greatest there was.

Definitely a "legit" Hall of Famer.

Ace 03-06-2013 05:38 PM

Terrible news. RIP.

One of his last tweets -

Let's put the top on February my Twitter friends. May we all be blessed moving into the month of March. Goodnight.

:(

I can't say how much this saddens me
He was so awesome.

great idea

I hope they do something classy in honor of him on Monday Night. Paul Bearer may be the 2nd most recognizable manager in WWE history behind only Bobby Heenan.

James Steele 03-06-2013 10:10 PM

It is a shame that there is a whole generation that has no idea about Bobby Heenan.

Seth82 03-06-2013 10:31 PM

I am shocked to hear this.

I also really enjoyed his mama's boy gimmick in Florida/WCCW.

Supposedly it was a blood clot to his lungs - pulmonary embolism. Geez, was he never caught for having this and wasn't on blood thinners?

Xero 03-07-2013 11:13 AM

Don't know how wide-spread the coverage is, but one of the local news stations covered his death last night.

Hopefully Undertaker brings Paul Bearer's urn with him to WrestleMania and pours the ashes out in the middle of the ring like Paul would have wanted.

mike adamle 03-07-2013 08:23 PM

Although now that I think about it more it'd be pretty heel for Undertaker to come out on Raw with Paul Bearer's urn only to have CM Punk steal it. And then when Taker beats Punk at WrestleMania he can take back the urn and pour Paul's ashes down Punk's throat.

Theo Dious 03-07-2013 09:46 PM

I'd say after Taker beats Punk (and he will, don't kid yourselves,) the Urn should be delivered to the ring by a Druid, and Taker should do the hand thing over it. Then he should leave it in the ring and Kane should come out and do the turnbuckle pyro thing from ringside.

Bad News Gertner 03-07-2013 11:15 PM

And then Heath Slater comes out and rolls in the ashes.

Shisen Kopf 03-07-2013 11:24 PM

Then time travelin' Shawn Michaels comes from 1997 and snorts the ashes!

It's not like The Million Dollar Man died.

Shisen Kopf 03-07-2013 11:44 PM

I always thought Brother Love was a better manager for the Undertaker.
