Battlefield 4 looks better than the PS4 Killzone already, but this is the PC version, so we're not sure what the gap is going to be like yet.

Think EA said in the past at least for player count the console version will support 64 players like the PC will.

They will have to do a lot to convince me to play a Mirror's Edge sequel. Original suffered a lot when the action slowed down, and I really disliked any sections with any sort of combat. I'm sure it will be a better game though.

Was going to turn the Gametrailers feed off before David Cage makes me want to punch something, but an advert to The Final Bosman made me really happy so now I can survive him.

In an age where the internet tends to ruin reveals and what not, this E3 has been a refreshing one. Sure, we all knew of these games, but we didnt know what these games were looking like, played like, etc.
This E3 has made me a little less pessimistic about the next console generation. |
I'm gonna be honest, I don't like watching E3, I like watching people talk about E3.
I still watch everything (except Konami's conference) every year. I've also been out of work or on summer vacation during E3 for the past five years or so, but I imagine I'd still have it on if I were working. I guess I just like seeing the reveals instead of reading about them later. |
Yeah, E3's been cool so far. Actually hyped for Ubisoft in 30mins and Sony tonight. Nintendo tomorrow should be crazy.

So I've watched the Microsoft and EA conferences and I might watch Ubisoft & Sony's.
Anyway, I marked out like a bitch at the announcement of Killer Instinct, but it didn't last long when it was announced as being an Xbox One exclusive, but then again, it is a Rare game so I should have expected it. At the beginning of Microsoft's conference, I was pretty much certain that I wasn't buying the console. It just wasn't doing anything for me and the only way Microsoft could change my mind was if they showed some good games. Killer Instinct is one of those games. I also thought Sunset Overdrive looked interesting and Metal Gear Solid V has gained my interest again. It looks pretty damn good. I lost a tiny bit of interest in it as I had doubts about how good Kiefer Sutherland would be as Snake but from what I heard, he's not bad as Snake. One main thing that's putting me off from buying an XBox One is the price. It's £429 here and who knows how much a game will cost. If I am to buy it, it may very well be a good bit in the future. Moving on to EA and I was only watching to see if a certain game was announced. I had to watch the conference right to the end but it was worth it as finally, Mirror's Edge 2 is official! http://img.addfunny.com/funnypicture...efcb145d07.gif As the kids say these days, I "lost my shit" at the announcement. I'm so happy it's official but I just hope to God it isn't going to only be on the Xbox One and PS4. Already guaranteed to be running on the Frostbite 3 engine considering everything shown today by EA is running on it and EA did tease in the past Mirror's Edge 2 would use it when DICE first announced the new engine.
Considering the Xbox 360 and PS3 already use the engine, they could get the game although it all depends on what EA/DICE are doing with the game that would require it to be only next-gen. |
I just watched the trailer again and saw the Frostbite 3 engine logo at the end.

Aside from The Division, which presents an interesting counter to Bungie's Destiny, Ubisoft's show was boring. Too many CG trailers. Aisha was cool as usual, though.

Unless they allow a keyboard/mouse in the game, the original preview was definitely from the PC version of the game btw. Upper right corner has '<backspace> (backspace) for battlelog' except it's an icon of the backspace key.</backspace><backspace>
