At the very least it's a very solid playing Halo that promises free DLC over time. Doesn't seem like we'll ever have to pay for maps and armor.

Forge will take some getting used to, but it is very much an improvement. Shame I can't test out my stuff with SPLITSCREEN customs.

Beat this in Legendary. Ran into two tough spots but that was it. The solo watcher and then when there were 3 of them. The solo one was the worst though by far.

Bight this on a whim as I saw it for £25 and wanted something with a lot of buttons that was fast to really get used to the Elite controller. After hating Halo 4, I was pleasantly surprised that they seem to have nailed the feel of this one.
Sucking horribly, but hey, I'm having fun. Cards feel like bullshit for vehicles though. |
The reqs in warzone are done well enough. Nothing really broken about it yet.

Gameplay wise it is easily the best and smoothest. The faster time-to-kill worried me but it is still 'Halo', just faster. I love it.
If it wasn't for the amazing Forge, this might have had the worst maps since Reach multiplayer (launch maps). Forge has put fun maps in there and there's virtually no past maps that can't be remade. Somebody made Containment from Halo 2. If that can be made anything can be made. Warzone is nice lounge gametype with occasional spurts of close games. I play that most. BTB is BTB. Arena is the most fierce Halo's ever been. The REQ reward system can go fuck itself but I have a general bias against loot/RNG systems popping up in games. I know what I want, I hate gambling for it. As you seen I'm diving in to Forge finally and given time, I got some wild stuff coming. So long as I can actually get my guys together. Won't mention lack of splitscreen, trying to have a good day today. |
I'm not the biggest fan of Warzone, or even big team for that matter... Maybe I just prefer CQC.
I always wear ODST armour which you get from watching Nightfall on the Halo Channel, so the REQ system doesn't really bother me because i've got what I want. Forge is great. Just waiting on an action sack playlist to have a go at some of the wacky custom games i've seen. |
They don't have my EOD set and if they added it I'm gambling to get it. Fuck REQ.
I played some Arena last night and promptly paid for avoiding it with my blood. Will take a bit to adjust. |
War zone is fun. Hate how you can't get rid of certification on crap that I don't want like the Mongoose or the shitty ghost. It's like I am being punished for getting more packs.
