When Curtis is doing stuff, he is awesome.

Mr. Nerfect 11-01-2014 08:50 PM

Why not bring him back for Survivor Series? Remember when Triple H said he could be an A+ Player? Have Rollins bring him back as A-Grade Curtis or something like that. He beats Ziggler for the IC Title heading into the PPV, and becomes another full-time guy for The Authority. And he steals Nikki Bella off John Cena.

Love that you have ideas for him, but Axel just doesn't enough charisma to be featured that prominently. I like the ring work, but fuck me he's boring.

This, pretty much. He could probably make a great name for himself in ROH or NJPW, but he doesn't have the promo skills to be a player in WWE. And as stated above he has no natural charisma. If he did, he could at least learn to be a better interview, but having that charisma isn't something you can just learn. You've either got it or you don't.

Ryback was super over on this weeks Smackdown. I think it would be cool to build him up and have him beat Rusev @ Wrestlemania.

Bad News Gertner 11-02-2014 01:07 PM

I'll be shocked if Axel is still with the company by the end of 2014.

Shisen Kopf 11-02-2014 02:09 PM

Lol TNA welcomes Burtis Driveshaft

Damian Rey 11-02-2014 03:44 PM

Axel has a place within the company as a trainer/agent. Nobody denies his in ring ability, but daddy's charisma seems to have skipped a generation. He could make a long, prosperous career working behind the scenes helping the young kids train and work the in ring aspect of the business. Nothing wrong with it.

It's like a great hitting coach. Sure, they didn't cut it as a pro. But they have the knowledge and know how, and the ability to pass it on. That's what I view Axel as.

XL 11-02-2014 05:14 PM

He's fine as a tag team guy. Not everybody can be a big time singles wrestler. Pair him with somebody that has charisma/can talk, even play that element up.

Lock Jaw 11-02-2014 05:21 PM

Wish Ryback hadn't just gone back to his old gimmick, but kind of made something new....

Not a fan of the "Feed Me More" entrance... much better without it, just walking out all smug and smiling/laughing also smugly.

Yelling "Ryback Rules" at the top of his lungs is also better than "Feed Me More".

Maybe Curtis can get over with his ring work ala Bret Hart

Ultra Mantis 11-02-2014 05:46 PM

Can we please only refer to Curtis Axel as Axel, Joe Hennig or Michael McGillicutty so when Triple H reads this he wont mistakenly think we're talking about Johnny Curtis being a soul sucking void of charisma. Thanks.

Damian Rey 11-02-2014 07:04 PM

The feed me more engages the crowd. I'd like to Ryback rules become more of an emphatic ending to his promos.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-03-2014 12:25 AM

I think he needs to drop Ryback Rules. That was his heel phrase. He doesn't have to say Ryback Rules. He just has to own people and say it that way.

Kinda how I feel. Just seems so awkward to have pressed the "reset" button on him. No enthusiasm for watching him squashing jobbers every week.

Ruien 11-03-2014 01:43 PM

He explained his actions so I am okay with it. Doubt he will go back to crushing jobbers though.

Bad News Gertner 11-03-2014 06:19 PM

He coild just fuck jobbers up week after week and I'd never get tired of watching.

I also miss really fat wrestlers like Viscera, Mickie James and Earthquake

Lock Jaw 11-03-2014 06:21 PM

He explained his actions in an interview that wasn't on TV, and thus only nerds like us will actually see.

Needs some mic time on TV.

DAMN iNATOR 11-03-2014 06:49 PM

Next week is the big guy's birthday, literally 1 week from tonight. He'll be 33.

Yeah, unless they show part or all of his footage from the Post-Show on RAW tonight. Of course this is all under the assumption he wrestles tonight.
