Seems like a ridiculous way to cash in MITB after all this time. Just insert yourself into a legit match against two guys after you've already had a match, too.

Also, fuck Seth Rollins as champion.

GD 03-25-2015 10:01 PM

Seth Rollins would make a great heel champion. He has done a great job to cement himself as the top heel on WWE television.

He's one of those generic guys with a minor personality that everyone on the internet wants over-pushed because of his rasslin' skills. Going from a larger-than-life monster like Lesnar as champ to Seth Rollins would be a downer. He's ROH world champion material. Not WWE.

right at the end during a double down was his suggestion/prediction, not from the opening bell

This is how I feel about Daniel Bryan.

Seth Rollins doesn't have Daniel Bryan's uncanny ability to connect with people

even though they are both good in the ring

Supposedly UFC was trying to get Lesnar to change his mind as late as his car ride to ESPN. Kept sweetening the offer for him but he wouldn't budge.

Quote:

The UFC didn't allow Lesnar to shut the octagon door easily: Lesnar said he turned down an offer worth "10 times" what he was making earlier in his MMA career.

UFC Chairman Lorenzo Fertitta even attempted to increase the temptation when Lesnar phoned Fertitta and UFC President Dana White to tell them his decision while driving into the parking garage at ESPN's downtown Los Angeles studios.

Although the UFC doesn't disclose the financial results of its pay-per-view shows, White has said Lesnar is the biggest PPV draw in MMA history.

"Lorenzo said to me, 'Can we sharpen our pencil? Can we double it'" Lesnar said. "I said, 'It's not about that. I'm calling you to tell you where my heart is, and it's not about the money.'

"And then in the back of my mind, I'm thinking, 'Well, yeah, it is about the money, but I don't have to beat myself up for it.' To prepare for another MMA fight, we're talking 16, 18 weeks of pure hell, and then the cage door shuts and it's on."

Makes me wonder what just the hell Vince is paying Brock in this new deal...

Corkscrewed 03-26-2015 01:50 AM

Handies.

Lock Jaw 03-26-2015 02:12 AM

If I had the choice of making massive amounts of money to stand around and stare while someone else talked and making massive amounts of money to train like a madman to be locked in a cage and get punched in the face.... I would take the first one.

He pimped out Steph while Linda watched in a wheelchair. You know, for all those times he kissed Sable.

Rollins can be protected. Like Hunter was with Evolution.

Hey, that's you're opinion, and you're certainly entitled to it.

I for one do not agree with that sentiment though.

GD 03-26-2015 06:30 AM

Yeah man! I agree with Tazz Dan's sentiment.

Interesting... I wonder if the storyline changes now. I think Lesnar will either retain or there will be a double turn.

Lesnar should retain. Maybe even start a "feud" with Reigns and "build Reigns up" or whatever. Could even insert other big names in there to fight it out for contendership after Reigns loses @ Mania.

If Reigns wins, Rollins should cash in so they can move forward with that angle (which will obviously involve Brock). Triple threat @ Summer Slam if they go that route, most likely.

You hit it dead on! Glad your with WORTH IT!

Simple Fan 03-26-2015 11:30 AM

I think Rollins has a lot of personality. He has been over as a heel and a face. I feel he has stepped into the role that was left void by Edge retiring and CM Punk leaving.

drave 03-26-2015 11:44 AM

He is the most regularly active and credible heel they have at the moment.

Simple Fan 03-26-2015 12:27 PM

Yea I don't have a problem with him as champion but also feel that if he cased in and failed it would be funny and the crowd would love it and give him shit for a while. I think he is protected enough to where it won't hurt him that bad like it did Shadow.
