My Gamestop said to get there an hour early.

A friend at another store went earlier and they gave him a ticket for 'group 3'...fuck.

Put in a couple of hours so far and just started chapter 2. I'm playing on Xbox One X with a 4K tv and it looks absolutely stunning. Gameplay is typical Rockstar so if you've played anything of theirs then you'll be comfortable here.

First few hours ease you in gently and show you the ropes. I'm now up to where side missions are unlocked and just don't have it in me to be a bad guy.

This game is going to consume me, just as I thought it would.

probably 50 or so people there. the staff wanted to get home to play the game so they made sure 99% of the people had the fully paid receipts with what version/console written on em. Hung around in the middle to get in a good position in line. I was out by 9:02pm.

That was a bitch of a long time install from the 2 discs but it's ready for me to play after work tomorrow.

Certain places where you pre-order give an early access code as a bonus. I asked someone who I'm friends with on PSN how they were playing 6 1/2 hours early and that was the response.

I'd figure the companion app would be something like the Destiny app.

Change clothes, weapons, and horses, coordinate online stuff with friends, in-game news, etc.

Nope. Can't even download it to my phone. I guess it's just for tablets and it's just a map and a few other things that are useless.
