Eh, I do disagree with this. Granted, I haven't been watching regularly, and Orton/Wyatt stuff was crap, but the idea of Orton being champion didn't upset me in any sense other than it felt unnecessary to turn away from AJ.

Yeah, I actually think Mahal is good at playing his role from what I've seen. But a well booked Orton reign is definitely preferable simply because he's perpetually over and makes the title mean something.

The problem with putting the world title on Mahal is that he's easily one of the worst / most boring guys on the roster, he's bottom ten, maybe even bottom five both in ring and as a personality. You could put the title on absolutely anyone and it wouldn't be "worse" from an entertainment standpoint. Except maybe Mojo. At least he's not Mojo.

Mahal "ticks all the boxes." He tries to have the cadence of a heel, and he wrestles in the most stereotypically wormy way you can imagine. He's got the checklist of things heels apparently do, and he ticks off as many as he can in one match/segment. The only thing is that he's not very good at it, has negative charisma, and doesn't really draw people into the things he is doing. I keep hearing about his heat, but it all sounds very tepid and like rote "Boo foreign guy, yay USA" type stuff, but with a wet blanket thrown over it. He works hard, but it just doesn't work.
