Women's Tag belts are cursed.

tman220 08-05-2019 10:47 PM

Goldberg coming out now?

My Final Heaven 08-05-2019 10:47 PM

Graves has just been robbed of a reason to make MANDY NIGHT RAW a "thing", keep Renee on suicide watch over him for the rest of the night

If he were to off himself, what would be the most hipster poser way he could do it? Heroin overdose? Like the old rockstars?

Jordan 08-05-2019 10:52 PM

My God... Seth was so bad.

Ol Dirty Dastard 08-05-2019 10:52 PM

Seth really seems to be going off the deep end after displaying so much promise ALL of last year.

slik 08-05-2019 10:55 PM

Miz/Dolph contract signing is the main-event of the go home show for SummerSlam

RP 08-05-2019 10:56 PM

All this for a pre show match

RP 08-05-2019 10:57 PM

OH SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Jordan 08-05-2019 10:57 PM

I hope his hat stays on!

Jordan 08-05-2019 10:58 PM

Dolph Ziggler is a legend. A legendary LOSER.

Jordan 08-05-2019 10:58 PM

GOLDBERG
GOLDBERG
GOLDBERG

RP 08-05-2019 10:58 PM

Well ok.

I was hoping it was HBK.

Sixx 08-05-2019 10:58 PM

Seth is back in the WWE?

After all that shit he's been saying about them for so long?

Didn't help that his top star push cooled down a lot the moment Reigns came back and then got quickly overshadowed by both Becky and Kofi for Mania. Whatever good will he had lingering from that amazing run last year was pretty much extinguished via his recent Twitter antics.

RP 08-05-2019 10:59 PM

At least they're paying off all those shots Dolph was throwing in for what seemed like no reason but to bury Goldberg.

Jordan 08-05-2019 11:01 PM

YES! THE ABDOMINAL GOLDBERG!

Emperor Smeat 08-05-2019 11:01 PM

Matt Riddle as Goldberg's opponent would have made way more sense considering Riddle trashed him for weeks on Twitter.

xrodmuc316 08-05-2019 11:02 PM

This is a BIG difference then sticking Goldberg in with another old dude that can't bump.

Ziggler is a perfect opponent for Goldberg to bounce around for a few minutes, and that match will be awesome!

Jordan 08-05-2019 11:02 PM

That is by far the most exciting match for Summerslam.

Yeah but Riddle trashes everybody on Twitter.

He legit told Jericho he would beat his ass like today lol

I totally agree. The worst build for Summerslam that I can recall.

Emperor Smeat 08-05-2019 11:35 PM

Worst part is Heyman had a hand in SummerSlam's build being terrible since he's been getting more involved in RAW's creative. His good stuff hasn't been enough to overcome Vince's bad ideas and his own share of stinkers.

At least with Smackdown, its been all Vince for quality problems these past couple weeks and Bischoff supposedly has little to no involvement in creative.

Jordan 08-05-2019 11:42 PM

Can't wait for AEW

While I do agree with the Summerslam build, the trade off has been the weekly shows, especially Raw, have been getting better and better. It's a fair trade off as long as Summerslam can deliver 5 or 6 top notch matches.

There was no hint whatsoever of Goldberg being involved in SummerSlam and yet there was the crowd chanting his name before his theme ever hit.

Just more proof that the "casual fan" is dead. Everybody reads the rumors.

that must give vince an aneurysm

DaveWadding 08-06-2019 04:06 AM

Rey/Andrade is the only match that can get me to watch weekly TV anymore. I'll catch that but skip the rest.

k I stand corrected, apparently Ziggler's been slagging off Goldberg in promos for no reason for about three weeks. so it's clumsy but it's at least something.

doesn't change the fact that 95% of the people who pay to go to these shows are "in the know". seems like the Rumble is the only time anyone gets surprised because they actually bother to keep stuff secret

Gerard 08-06-2019 09:34 AM

Sonya Deville at one point in that match didn't know wtf she was meant to be doing, you could see her crouching down ready to run into the ring but didn't. Then she notices shes visible on the tron and ducks down even further, then she tries to run in after the tap out for no reason only to get hit.... :|

1:08 onwards.

Emperor Smeat 08-06-2019 01:57 PM

Caught up to everything I missed yesterday and RAW felt meh overall.

Women's tag match had some good potential but ruined because of really dumb booking.

24/7 title has been the best thing in WWE these past couple of months.

Rey vs Andrade was pretty great overall.

Rollins-Lesnar feud has been terrible and nothing from last night changed my mind. Rollins managed to pull off a strong contender for worst promo of the year.

 at the milk toast between Street profits and Angle. Street Profits have been hit-or-miss with these backstage segments but last night was a hit.

Another meaningless Vikings Raiders squash match and its been pretty obvious that creative has no clue what to do with them on RAW.

Harley Race tribute video was great.

Drew vs Cedric was useless although the Fiend's surprise attack on Angle was interesting.

Splaya 08-06-2019 04:17 PM

Like if Bray stole the mandible claw from Foley does that mean he know has the angle slam as his trademark move? Maybe he uses the power of the Fiend to take all the finishers in the world :shifty:

Kinda like what I said before about WWE being super late to the party about the "internet" being more than 12 hardcore basement-dwelling neckbeards on dialup message boards who subscribe to all the "magz" even when only half the world had smartphones in their pockets and could look shit up on demand. It was part of the tragedy of the Ryder Revolution, since he was spearheading that train while the company was still head-in-sand about how the world had changed. Now, the whole world has a computer in their pocket, and if they're willing to spend money to be at an event, they're aware of the product to a fairly high degree. Seemingly at times even more than people who work for the company.

And they don't neccessarily get to keep Rumble secrets, either. There are usually rumored spoilers - most of which turn out to be true - about "surprise" entrants of Legend returns or NXT talents/callups appearing.
