SD somehow has done a better job handling the Forgotten Sons than NXT ever did. They still are a dull team but SD has shown more care about them than NXT ever did.

Emperor Smeat 05-22-2020 09:58 PM

Hardy vs. Sheamus was pretty good despite dragging on a bit too long.

This week's episode ended up being surprisingly good overall. Only real weak point was the stuff involving Miz TV and Strowman.

Droford 05-22-2020 10:01 PM

Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles on the same card with the greatest wrestling match ever might be funny

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 08:01 PM

Preview for tonight's episode looks pretty great and by great, mainly mean just Bryan vs. Hardy since the other stuff sounds bad.

teamXtremist 05-29-2020 08:01 PM

Elias noooooooo

Uhoh jeff hardy was drinking and driving again

teamXtremist 05-29-2020 08:03 PM

So aj vs db for the ic gold now?!

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 08:04 PM

:y: Jason Jordan appearance.

teamXtremist 05-29-2020 08:13 PM

Whos the tall guy in the purple sports coat?

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 08:14 PM

Styles is right about Bryan's idea of just randomly adding guys to replace Elias and Jeff is pretty dumb.

Adam Pearce. Before NXT Creative took over, he was the main guy in charge of 205 Live.

slik 05-29-2020 08:16 PM

I turned this on and it's a nope. I don't like using people's real life addictions in storylines and a "Jeff Hardy is a drunk driver" story is not something I want to see.

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 08:18 PM

Why does WWE kept making simple things way more convoluted or bloated than it needs to be.

The newest changes to the IC tourney being the latest by them.

slik 05-29-2020 08:21 PM

Maybe cops in a angle is a bad idea this week

Yeah it doesn't really come off good for WWE but then again not like they actually care about being tone deaf at times.

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 08:36 PM

Battle Royal was pretty good overall.

Some of the camera work during it was very bad but felt a bit more entertaining than the Battle Royal AEW had earlier this week.

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 08:48 PM

Lame ending aside, Lacey vs. Sonya was decent.

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 09:04 PM

Guess Creative got bored of the IIconics again since they just got quickly tossed to the side for this Sasha & Bayley vs. Alexa & Nikki tag title feud.

Moment of Bliss segment was surprisingly decent for once.

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 09:08 PM

That announcer table is going to suddenly break apart if Nikki keeps shaking it.

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 09:14 PM

 at Bayley's chicken dance. The banter and antics between Bayley and Nikki was way better than the match between Sasha and Alexa.

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 09:35 PM

Not sure mimicking the pool scene from Fast Times at Ridgemont High film is PG.

Also pretty anti-climatic way to debut Matt Riddle. Didn't need Angle nor his promo giving away the surprise.

Emperor Smeat 05-29-2020 10:00 PM

Bryan vs. Sheamus was pretty good despite the abrupt ending.

Outside of the controversial start which seems to be getting its fair share of ridicule and negative backlash online, this week's episode was pretty good overall.

WWE's version of wrestlers as crowds is still very hit or miss. Not because of them acting annoying but the reactions still not feeling genuine and/or them half-assing acting as a crowd at times.

Question for everyone, should the monthly thread idea continue next month or go back to weekly threads for SD?

Droford 05-29-2020 10:32 PM

Sami Zayn clearly set up Jeff Hardy

I feel like they ALL have an ear piece with Vince telling them when to cheer or boo lol

Having now seen the end, probably

Sami doing it to wreck the tournament to take his title away made more sense

XL 05-30-2020 02:52 AM

The driver was Jimmy Uso. :shifty:

The only thing I’d change is not updating the OP every week as it’s confusing. Just post the preview in the thread and change the thread title.

Emperor Smeat 05-30-2020 03:08 AM

Ok. Will do the previews as separate posts if the monthly idea sticks.

Initially kept them all in the OP mainly as a quick and easy way for someone to see the previews all at once instead of having to scroll by posts to find each week's preview. Wasn't that much of an issue this month since it only reached 2.5 pages despite having 5 weeks instead of the usual 4 weeks for shows.

XL 05-30-2020 03:17 AM

Yeah, interest in SmackDown seems in the gutter here.

Volare 05-30-2020 10:02 AM

Riddle to save Smackdown.

When I said this it was because of Jimmy’s DUI history/arrest, I didn’t even make the Rikishi link in my head
