So because I hate my life, I went back and checked the responses to my Jericho being the face of the comments on 411mania. Two responses stuck out:
"Cody Rhodes is a mainstream star and people outside of wrestling know who he is". No he is not lol "Jericho isn't the face of the company. I watch AEW for Fenix, FTR, Harper, Miro Moxley". That's not the same thing. |

Even if they watch for different people than Jericho, to suggest that any of those qualify as "face of the company" is laughable.
(Maybe you could say Moxley because he was champion for so long, but even that seems like a stretch.) |

Who feels sorry for Jericho? He’s a rich, pompous doofus who thinks he’s far more important than he actually is now. It’s just been a sad fall in the last couple years, but at least it’s been spectacular, if for the wrong reasons.

He was genuinely one of the most entertaining guys to ever do it and he thrived even when so much was going against him (WCW politics, WWE scripting). It’s sad now because it looks like his ego has taken over and he doesn’t have the desire to put in the effort anymore. But he was great before, really great. That’s what is so sad about what he is becoming. I hope he can turn it around. |
