Haha wow, it's kind of ridiculous how people are acting like the Patriots are shit now, because they lost 1 game of their past 22. Pittsburgh's a good team, and yeah NE lost, but guess what? They're still a good team...

I kinda like the Steelers though... I love teams that run the ball a lot instead of doing all that fancy shmancy passing. Running = the goods

The Outlaw 11-02-2004 02:05 AM

Hey gertner, what were you saying a few weeks back?

Oh, yeah...

But yeah, they still have a great team, no doubt.

CB Chad Scott
CB Mike Logan
QB Tommy Maddox
OL Kendall Simmons

And although they played:
Plaxico Burress (Shoulder)
Duce Staley (Knee)

So, the most important guy in our run stop defense (Hampton) is on the IR without having an injury? And is Linebacker Kendrell Bell on vacation?

The Patsies didn't lose due to injuries, the lost because their "complicated" defensive schemes were picked apart by eventual rookie-of-the-year Ben Roethlisberger. As the Eagles will learn next Sunday, you can't stop BBR.

I'm not shitting on the Patsies because I hate the Patsies (Which I do, but it's not why) I'm doing it because the first team to beat them in 22 games is the team I've cheered for thirteen years, the Pittsburgh Steelers. If the Jets had won last week, I wouldn't even waste my time.

road doggy dogg 11-02-2004 03:41 AM

Nah I wasn't talking about you really, mostly just the guys that are like "YEAAAAAAH FUCK THE PATS WOOOOOOO WHAT NOW"

SuperSlim 11-02-2004 10:13 AM

I knew they were goona lose to Pittsburg. They still a good team no doubt but I knew they were gonna lose. haaahaa

It's just funny to laugh at the spazzy Pats fans who talk so much shite.

When the Eagles lose in the NFC Championship again, I will be doing the same thing, but obviously to the spazzy Eagles fans.

Y2Ant 11-02-2004 11:30 AM

Plus we all pretty much did the same thing to the NY Yankees when they lost :o

You really have no clue as to what your talking about do you?

Roethlisberger picked apart there system?

Really, I'd like to know what game you watched. What won it for the steelers was the running game, the Steelers OL dominated the Pats DL/LB.

As I said, it's one loss and the Steelers earned that win, no bones about it...

but to try and pretend having out your starting LT, both start CB (one pro-bowler), a Backup CB and the starting RB didn't have any effect? Come'on, get real!

Injuries change the game, put Dillon back in there it's a different game. I'm not saying the Pats would have won, cause who knows, but the Loss of Dillon hurt the most.

As for the team you've cheered for, for 13 years...

umm, how many rings in those 13 years?

That's what I love about the steelers, finally, they feel they redeemed themselves from 2001, when they were making superbowl plans before playing the AFC championship... where they lost in their OWN HOME then game one the following year, they were going to prove how good they were and got their ass kicked.

Again, I take nothing away from the steelers wins, but it's the players and fans who somehow think this 1 win is better then having 2 superbowl rings, that really makes me laugh.

It's true of any team that wins... when one team wins, there are plenty of teams that don't... Plenty of "Why not me" fans...

Especially teams w/ long winning histories (Yankees, Celtics are the first two that come to mind).

I tell ya though, you almost gave me a woddie putting the Pats in the same league as the Yankees.

4 superbowls, 2 wins.

The only team I can really compare w/ the Yanks is the Celtics. Hockey, I would guess the Candiens? not sure, I'm not a huge hockey follower.

Football, there have been "dynasties" but nothing that can compare to the Yanks or Celtics.

Some of these Boston fans are starting to look like me, when I was in my prime.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-07-2004 05:04 PM

Troy Brown is playing defense :|

The Miz 11-07-2004 06:33 PM

LMAO @ Vinateri TD pass

VonErich Lives 11-07-2004 07:59 PM

Pats win...

Dillon's the difference maker... they would have won last week w/ him.

Can't wait to meet Pittsburg in the playoffs and put them back in their place.

Someone said about the Steelers "Yeah, they talked trash, but they backed it up" True, but the Steelers have talked trash for 3 years... they've predicted big wins over the pats for 3 years... I mean, if you keep betting against a matchup, you figure it's gotta happen eventually...

yeah, still pissed about last week, not the streak or records, but simply the steelers... they don't deserve to win.

Anyway, Pats win, life is good. and the 2nd half of the season, doesn't look that tought right now the way the Pats have been playing...

I see 3 tough games... KC (due to pats CB injuries and how they've been run on a lot), Baltimore (running game and defense), Jets (There going to be fighting plus they have an easy schedule the 2nd half).

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-07-2004 08:03 PM

LOL Troy Brown made the last tackle of the game

Thats classic

BCWWF 11-07-2004 08:49 PM

Troy Brown actually played a helluva game given the circumstances

We beat the Eagles without our star runningback Duce Staley, so stop whining about Cory Dildo, who the Steelers used to stop twice a year.

AND IT'S SPELLED PITTSBURGH!

How the hell did they not deserve to win?

No, they played better vs. the Pats and Eagles, they earned those wins.

I just mean in general... they talk waaaaaaaaay to much trash... and 9 times out of 10 they don't back it up...

Don't worry, the Pats will see you in the AFC championship... of course, they might be playing and the Steelers will have to buy tickets! :)

VonErich Lives, it appears you dislike the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Flashlight? What flashlight, what the heck are you talking about... silly kids...

VonErich Lives 11-28-2004 10:06 PM

Given this a bump.

Pats win again, would have been a different game w/ Lewis healthy, but a win is a win.

Pats will take the Division, they'll probably drop a game down the final stretch to like Cleveland or SF someone they should lose to. (see last year, Washington and Buffallo).

Law and Poole will be back for the playoffs.
Matt Light went down today, if he misses any time, that's a big loss.

AFC's got some hot teams, Pats, Steelers, Chargers.

It's being undefeated in the playoffs that counts.

Y2Ant 11-28-2004 10:27 PM

Yeah i'm kinda glad the NFC is shit, meaning the Vikings can come 2nd and still get in the wildcard

OssMan 11-28-2004 10:55 PM

fuck New England and fuck their whitey-ass football syndicate

Jesus Shuttlesworth 11-29-2004 12:41 AM

Damn Pats are nasty

Troy Brown almost had another INT today  Also, Deion Branch is the fucking man. I am so glad he is back from injury. Patriots beat up on a Lewis-less Ravens team today which was cool. Mud bowl in New England and Snowbowl in Denver. Pretty "hot" day for NFL football
