dam, 10:00 est start tonight. I hate these late games
|
ESPN Triple-header. Gotta love playoff baseball.
|
ALDG
White Sox > Red Sox 3-2 [ The first round is a best of five series I think. Basically I'm actually cheering Chicago in this match up at least frankly I would cheer anyone who is facing the Red Sox just to get Boston out of the playoffs] Yanks > Angels 3-1 NLDG Braves < Astros 3-1 Cards > Padres 4-0 ALCS Yankees > White Sox 4-3 [Chicago is a real good team but the way I see Yankees are going to take it in game 7 sorry Joey Slugs] NLCS Cards > Astros WS Yankees > Cards 4-3 [Once again another real close one] |
LOL, scroll down to Game 3 and watch the 4th video.
My favorite playoff moment ever http://oakland.athletics.mlb.com/NAS...p?view=bos_oak |
well next to the Aaron Boone thing :shifty:
|

|
no need to be sorry Hardkore, they are your picks.

VEL you can't tell me you are honestly picking the Angels. They are awful.
|
LC, with other sports I don't think its the same for a couple reasons.
1. Basketball has been dominated by L.A., Sacramento, Texas, and other western teams. 2. As for the NBA and NFL, they are nationally shown on other networks. The NBA on TNT is awful, mainly the playoffs. When you start a HOME game at 10 p.m. on a weeknight, you are just bad. But yeah, Yankees/White Sox ALCS, Yankees probably win, lose to Cards in WS. |

Yeah, there my pick... not a strong pick, honestly I think it's a crap shoot and wouldn't put money on any of the 4. Based on season performance, their pitching looks the best. Yanks starters have been shakey, sox entire rotation and pen have been shakey and I just don't see the White Sox getting it done. |

Don't have "all access" so can't see it. Was this before or after one of my favorite moments when Byrnes missed home plate, then rather then trying to go for the plate, pushed Teck (who had the ball and tagged him out). Still one of my LMFAO fav's :) |
yeah, it is when Byrnes slid right over home plate.
|
I don't have all access eathier. All you need is a real player. Unless I somehow magically have all access
|
works for me, but I thinks yous gots ta have Real Player
|
WOOO LETS GO BRAVES
|

Thank you much HKJ. Yeah, I hear ya on the late game... just be glad it's not on Fox. They turn quick games into 4 hour epics with all the breaks.
|
I just love how pissed Wells gets when he is taken out of a game.

Big Bad Bobby Jenks

I wish I could take those fucking red sticks and bash that stupid monkey in the face with them. Let's see them rally after that.
|
I swear most of these Angel fans are mentally challenged. literally. just watch when the camera go on them.

The last home game we won was game 1 of the 1959 World Series against the Dodgers. The last playoff series we won was waaaaaaaaay back in 1917, which is the last time the White Sox won a championship. The announcers were refering to the last home game we have won before yesturday's white wash, that of course being in '59 (which was an 11-0 win). |

So... they aren't mental... they are all fucking smashed. |
Angels win. Series tied 1-1
As long as it goes all five, I'll be happy. |

Well, not the best situation.... But, we've been here before... down 2-0 vs. Oakland in 2003, down 3-0 vs. NYY on 2004.
That being said, you can only do it so many times till it catches you. That and this team (red sox) is not where near is as good as 2004, flip side is this White Sox team better then 2003 Oakland? I dunno, Wake on Friday, Schilling on Sunday, both at home, Sox are strong at home (except against Toronto!) Could easily see this going back to Chicago for game 5. Of course, we saw what Contreras did to the sox in game #1. That and as of right now, the sox don't have a game #5 pitcher. They already announced Clemment to the pen. They could save Arroyo, but using Papelbon tonight, he might need him over the weekend. The most likely option is Wells on 3days rest. There's also a chance that Saturday may get rained out. They're saying this would give Wells an extra day of rest? Wouldn't they just play Sunday/Monday rather then Sat/Mon? Dunno, Tip my hat to the White Sox though, the "small ball" that people make fun of them for is what kept runners in scoring position and w/o that the error wouldn't have mean't anything. |
