Had an epic epic 2v2 lan splitscreen versus game last night. The computer AI is so well done that it worked so so well. It was a close match, and it was the most fun I've had playing multiplayer in a long time.

I'd get the PC version if it wasn't for split-screen on the 360.
If some interesting mods come out or the PC version gets maps that are charged for on 360 for free, I would get it. |

You got 2 or 3 months at least. You could get a 360 arcade (I think it comes with a memory card) and the game and guitar all for like 300 bucks, or a little less.

It seriously works better than I ever would have anticipated. Like I stated in the thread earlier, I played 2v2 LAN Versus on two computers in my house and it was the most multiplayer fun I've had since I can't remember when.
I'll post the link for anyone who wants to try it out. The setup is really really simple. I've used a wireless 360 pad and a wired PS1-USB pad. So my sister has a 360. I've never even played the thing yet I want this fecking game. So, is it worth going and spending £40 on when it's literally the only X-Box game I'd play? I'd want it mainly for the online story schtick. My sister hasn't been online once though. I play wirelessly on my PS3. Is this gonna be as simple as the PS3 to set up or am I gonna have to spend money on something extra/get one of those gay Gold subscriptions/phone somebody in India etc etc?

From my understanding for 360 setup. In order to use a mic, you need Gold. Also the 360 is not wireless enabled. You can either plug in an ethernet cable directly to it, or buy a fairly expensive wireless adapter for the 360.

No, you need Gold to play multi-player at all, not just for the mic. Well worth it though for a quality online experience.
If you want to play wirelessly, you'll have to buy an adapter as well |

Your PC not good enough for it? It's based on a fairly old engine so quite a lot of on-board graphics card can do the game justice.

I dunno. My laptop is only like 2 months old, it's just I don't play anything other than FM on it. Could look into it I guess, I just wanted to slob out in the chair in front of the TV like I normally do playing console games :-\

Buy (or if your sisters 360 has a wired joypad, use) a 360 pad plugged into your laptop. If your laptops that new, it probably has a TV-Out so you can slob away and use a joypad.
