the musical score in the backround of that scene is so amazing it practically makes the scene.
|
Dude, Juliet is so fucking hot man, it makes me so horny.
Have you seen Running Scared? her and her husband make like kiddy snuff porn! |
ok GTFO
|
I am rewatching the very first episode right now, and I think I'm going to watch all of it again. I forgot how amazing it was at the start.
|
I didn't know Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman on Heroes) was the pilot.
|
Yeah, he and J.J Abrams are tight
|
I forgot about the psychic telling Claire not to let anyone else raise her baby. That changes the whole situation with the baby and Kate.
|
LOL
Walt and Hurley playing backgammon. Walt: Come back! You owe me 20 thousand dollars! Hurley: You'll get it. Never caught that cause it was just something quick and small and you don't find out about Hurley till later. |
Something i've been wondering is if the Island needs the Oceanic 6 to come back because they were on the plane crash, why doesnt need Walt to come back?
|
I think Walt will have something important to do with the story, but I'm not sure what yet.
|
Walt will definitely be in season 5
|
Maybe it has to do with the way Jack and Co. left. Ben says the island won't let Jack back without everyone who left with him, but Walt left with Michael.
|
But i remember the one black chick who was one of " the other's " saying somthing about how Walts has special powers and they fear him or something along those lines. And thats why they were willing to let him go with Michael. I'm wondering if Walt is a major player in this whole Island story. Maybe something to do with his mother. Remember she got a job and moved away from Michael? Did they ever elaborate on what her job was? If the Walt storyline isnt sured up in a big way before this is all over, I'll be so dissapointed with this series.
|
Yeah, I guess at that point they wouldn't have let Walt go if they weren't done with him. Ben (I think it was Ben that let them go) is always careful with his word choice, but at that point The Others have the situation pretty in hand, so if they needed to wait before giving Michael and Walt the ride home they probably could.

John Locke is the single greatest television character of all time.
I love watching this all again. Probably the only show I can watch from start to finish a second time and love every single bit of it. I am on episode 18 in season 1 right now, and everything about this show is amazing. Seriously, if people who don't like this show only watched one episode along the way somewhere and didn't like it, then they are doing themselves a disservice. I hate people who scoff or whatever when I mention the show, because they obviously have never watched this show from the beginning. I remember before season 4 started, a friend was watching this and I was like "EH.. never looked interesting." and they told me I should really watch it from the beginning. So I downloaded it all, and ended up spending a few weeks watching it from the very beginning and I couldn't stop watching. Seriously the greatest show on television. |
Technically, since Michael and Charlie (and possibly Jin, although obvioulsy not and if he is I will be so pissed) are dead on the bottom of the ocean and the island is gone, won't they need to go get their bodies and bring them to the island's new location?
|
I would assume it was the island that allowed them to die (at least in micheal's situation), thus the island doesn't want them back.
|
I guess.
I hope Tom makes an appearance this season. He was always my favorite Other. |
I think the island only wants the six that left as a group, and it's all or none.
I wonder if Widmore will use Walt to get to the island. |
God, I love this show. And I know this is a great show because I watch it with a childlike anticipation and suspension of belief. Normally in shows or movies where everything coincidentally falls into place I'm like "Oh yeah whatever." But in this show where EVERYTHING is like that, even the slightest moments make me go "Holy shit no fucking way." Like even small stuff like finding out Desmond was in the the hatch is so exciting. Although a lot of that excitement may have just been because Desmond is awesome. Probably my favorite character on the show
|
Desmond is definitely my favorite, followed by Ben and Sayid.
|
that would probably be my top 3 as well
|
I get it now. I forget if timelooptheory explained this exact incident, and I think it might have.
Anyways.. Boone dying was how the island made up for Claire's baby, similar to how Ben was born.. since Boone died at the exact moment that Claire's baby was born. |
Desmon, locke, jack would be my order. Jack is so fucked up its great.
|
I think one of my favorite scense of the whole series was at the end of season 1 when Sawyer told Jack that he had drinks with his father before he died. That was wild.

And i can totally see a scene where Kate ends up dying and Jack and Sawyer are really emotional. Thats how love triangles end in stories like these.
FUCK Kate his hot. She's hot without makeup on the set. I've seen pics. God i want to play baseball with her and then fuck her in the dugout. |
1. Locke
2. Sayid 3. Ben 4. Desmond 5. Jack my top five, though Sayid and Ben are really even and interchangeable on the list |
Tom is dead I thought?
I really hope Jin is not dead. Desmond is by far the best character on TV right now....With Ben. I do like Sayid, but those 2 are just so fucking cool. I like the Boone/Aaron idea, but then whats up with everyone else dying. Actually, I am making a change. Mr. Eko was the best character until he left the show and they had to write him out. He was the shit. |
I think everyone else was dying either because they served their purpose to the island, or they just didn't have a purpose. IE - there was a reason those people survived, because all of their actions influenced the others' actions in some way, even if it was extremely small. In that particular moment though, the island needed someone to die to make way for the baby.
I think this is best explained with Micheal's situation. The island wouldn't let him die because he still had a purpose. He was still needed to do something which later helped people. Now, obviously the whole 'unable to die if you were alive before' bit isn't foolproof, as shown by Ben's absolute shock in seeing his daughter killed. (I am referencing timelooptheory, because I am 99.9% positive that theory will be the closest of any LOST theory once the show is done) |
I don't watch this show, but can some one explain to me how/why they can't build a boat or why this hasn't been the vocal point of the entire show?
|
There are Others living on the island that have actively prevented their escape. They built two boats. One was burned (though it was by the kid) and one resulted in the Others capturing said kid and throwing grenades at them. They aren't sure where they are, so they are hesitant to chance the sea in the first place.

Done watching the first season again. Gonna watch the first couple episodes of season 2 before I go to bed in a bit.
Edit: Also Destor, there is way more going on than just them trying to survive. It isn't your typical castaways on an island bit. There is some weird shit going on at the island that can't be fully explained without spoiling some of the most amazing parts of this show. |
I screencapped this from the scene where Micheal and Sawyer are on the broken piece of raft. Sawyer is getting ready to swim to the bigger piece of the raft that floats by, and the camera pans down to a shark swimming by.
Never noticed this, and I doubt many people did while watching it on TV. http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/1...arklostpz1.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/s...pg/1/w1680.png |
Yeah I noticed that when I was watching the DVD. No idea how it connects to the story though.
|
It's funny sitting here seeing you guys notice some of the random stuff that others caught when the show first aired (e.g. the tagged shark).
And by funny I mean "Ah, that takes me back to when I noticed/had it pointed out to me" rather than funny "LOL at you guy sonly spotting his stuff now". I better find out about the Four Toed Statue pretty soon!! |
Face it guys. Half the stuff you want answered will never be answered.
|
I WANT THE TRUTH!
|
Honestly, all I want to know is what the smoke monster is.
They can tell me what it is then spend the rest of the next few seasons videotaping a home guy Jerk off and I will be happy and still watch |
