Jeter, Williams and A-Rod combined 2 for 14?

The Outlaw 04-20-2004 11:11 AM

They will come around

Giambi with three long balls so far

Its too bad I am trained to hate the Yankees because I like Giambi :(

ct2k 04-20-2004 11:14 AM

Eh well i guess when the Sox don't win the world series they can still use their old curse excuse. Not that i think the Yankees will win either, love them as i do

Game winning RBI single

Loose Cannon 04-20-2004 02:06 PM

The Yankees have like three starters right now. Contreas needs to go back to back to the minors and two other guys better step up soon or they are fk'ed.

Oh lol

I watched the game up untill that happened and I had to turn it off

I am noting that I am a bigger Sox fan than Yankees, but that was just unheard of

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-23-2004 02:31 AM

SOX KEEEEEEEEEEEEEED

The Outlaw 04-23-2004 12:06 PM

lol 9th hitter hitting a grand slam = :(

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-23-2004 01:11 PM

lol Red Sox being at the top of AL East Bluejays being at the bottom =

VonErich Lives 04-23-2004 01:50 PM

I tell ya, the Sox got saved by the draft coming up so no one really noticed that Schilling was over his pitch count and Tito didn't pull his "boy"... This happens a few more times are your going to start hearing "who'se running the team, Tito and Schilling".

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-23-2004 03:19 PM

I just remembered something about that whole Manny thing

People call him a bum because he doesnt run out pop flys and stupid shit like that...old timer baseball shit. He produces and makes clutch plays when they count. Everyone gives him shit for not running out grounders, or letting the catcher tag him after a passed ball on a 3rd strike. I think its dumb...Manny is the ****ing man and he actually does shit when it REALLY matters

Loose Cannon 04-23-2004 09:46 PM

Yeah keep pitching Contreas you dumb Fu***. Christ, when are they going to learn. He sucks and he can't pitch in the big leagues.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-24-2004 01:10 AM

Yashamaga 04-24-2004 01:18 AM

VonErich Lives 04-25-2004 07:38 PM

Hands Loose Cannon a broom..

Anyway, I'm a real sox fan, today was fun and a good win... the sweep is great... but I fully expect their bus to crash or something...

Jesus Shuttlesworth 04-25-2004 07:46 PM

Looks like the Curse of the Bambino is in affect already:

Red Sox look very good so far (as they do every first half of the year)

What happen's next you ask, well here goes for all you Red Sox fan's who seem to forget....

1. All Star break ends and the Sox begin to fall apart.
2. After they sneak into the playoffs, they either get knocked off in the first round or the Yanks end up beating them, or it has been known to happen, they lose in the World Series.
3. Red Sox fan's say "we'll win it next year".
4. Off season comes and they make some pretty good pickup's of some top of the line free-agent's.
5. Red Sox fan's say "this is our year".
6. Repeat step's 1-5, only change the year.

It's a different team this year... Not different as in "magic feeling". This team is built on pitching, all the previous teams were built on hitting, which is why they'd fall apart, slumps, injuries, and facing he Yankees who had better pitching.

Well, now, the Sox have the best staff in the league, will they still by the all-star break? probably.

Pedro is using a lot of off-speed stuff which will save his arm.

Tito is pulling Pedro and Schilling on pitch counts.

Sox have Trot and Nomar coming back, which is better then any trade the Yanks will pull off.

The top pitching free agents are on the Red Sox, so the Yanks wont get a Rent-A-Pitcher, or if they do, it won't be a top 10 pitcher.

That all being said, I'm a sox fan... I expect Schilling and Pedro to get in a fist fight, and they hit each other and break their hands.

Loose Cannon 04-25-2004 11:25 PM

Christ, I'm pretty pissed right now. I mean have the Yankees sucked this bad in a while cause I don't remeber. They better get themselves some pitchers because they won't amount to sh** this year is they don't. But Kevin Brown I'm sorry fir nagging on you in the off season because right now, YOU ARE THE SH**

Smitty 04-25-2004 11:35 PM

The D-Rays are ahead of the Yanks...that's great. Damn those Orioles, they are a decent club this year.

They do need a #4 and #5... But can you really blame the pitching the last 2 games?

I mean, a loss in the 12th and a loss 2-0.

They do need pitching, but it's the multi-million dollar hitting that ain't getting it done...

They'll come around, too much talent not to, but in a series, the pitching will hurt them.

VonErich Lives 05-02-2004 02:08 AM

So, Sox could have picked up 1/2 a game... and drop both instead, oh well... can't win'em all.

Now, that being said I must LMFAO that Pedro tells everyone talks are off and how he went as low as he could, w/o disrespecting himself and future players, etc... etc... and then goes out and pitches like crap.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-02-2004 02:10 AM

Yea Yankees will eventually come around but I am hoping the Sox are able to pull ahead enough before they turn it around to win the AL East also hopefully the Sox hit a big slump either

****in' Rangers  OH WELL THO.....back to back series sweeps before that..not too bad

VonErich Lives 05-02-2004 04:06 AM

I like'd Theo's response to Pedro, even better was Manny who offered to lend the sox 5million a year for 3 years to sign Pedro, as long as they pay it back later, figuring that he'll be playing longer then Pedro.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-02-2004 05:48 AM

Manny is the man

Not running out those pop ups though...hes a bum..even though he is an RBI Machine and blasts Homeruns like its his job

Jesus Shuttlesworth 05-02-2004 05:49 AM

Pedro is Pedro...always doing stuff that the media makes a big deal about.

Pedro is on the decline though so I dont know what the Sox should do

The Manny we're seeing this year, is much different then the Manny we saw last year.

Dunno what the change is, but he's been much different.

The way he's playing, the way he's acting w/ fans and even the media.

I just hope he stays this way.

Yashamaga 05-02-2004 11:36 AM

he has a website too now

Ramirez = :cool:

Yashamaga 05-03-2004 05:09 PM

Yeah he does

brb gonna go make a Manny thread

The Outlaw 05-03-2004 06:44 PM

lol

VonErich Lives 05-05-2004 02:30 AM

and another loss, see... said it was a long season...

WEEI started calling it "Curse of the Bratino" cause they were fine till Pedro started whining...

Watch BK will throw a gem tonight...

actually, for the most part, pitching has been good... we just haven't hit the ball...

so, w/ the losses to Texas and now Clevland... are those two this good or were the yanks that bad :p

Loose Cannon 05-05-2004 10:48 AM

^^Oh we got a commedian here. Hey, should I pop my tape in the VCR cause you're going to be on the Leno Show tonight? I looking at the Standings right now and I see a little tie a top the American East. The Yankees bats have awoken from their slumber and are on fire right now. But seriously, Texas is looking scary right now. What's up with that?

The Outlaw 05-05-2004 02:02 PM

Seriously, it's early May... they count, but does it really matter... I mean, as long as everyone stays healthy.

The sox are missing 2 key bats.

The Yanks will probably get Randy Johnson for the stretch run.

should be one wild September (trying to lock up my sox v. yanks tix now) :)
