The 9ers have a relatively light schedule foe like the next 5 games or so. If we don't lay an egg, the record will be back up to snuff in no time. I wish Kap would start playing like the greatest or all time again sometime soon though.

Yeah, I'm not a role model. I'm also not good at coming up with disparaging names for Baltimore. Also immediately thought about double checking the scoresheet after I posted the braggadocios statement.

Seahawks.........this could be their year!

Kris P Lettus 10-15-2013 07:56 PM

Fuck the seahawks

Ermaximus 10-15-2013 11:18 PM

They have a solid shot. I see it being either them, the Saints, or believe it or not, the Lions representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.

New Orleans-Cincinnati Superbowl. It damn well better happen. I mean, so I can win money, and stuff.

Welcome back to football and to the Giants, PEYTON HILLIS

Nark Order 10-16-2013 02:12 PM

Everyone counting out the 9ers and the Packers already because of a couple of losses. I'll bet that they'll emerge as the top 2 teams in the NFC in the 2nd half of the season. Both teams have a bit of work to do but Harbaugh and McCarthy are hard to read. It also helps a bit that they are a bit lower under the radar right now.

screech 10-16-2013 02:20 PM

Packers have some injuries, but I wouldn't rule them out at all. Aaron Rodgers is top notch.

screech 10-16-2013 02:22 PM

49ers are tricky. Defense is still very good, but what has happened to Kaepernick? Have teams figured him out? Is he missing Crabtree that much? Does he have to poop?

So many questions...

Nark Order 10-16-2013 02:46 PM

Yeah. It is pretty frustrating. I was blaming it on injuries at first because Crabs, Manningham, and Vernon (in that Colts game) were out and it made it really difficult to pass the ball. Some fairly mediocre WRs had to suit up. Now I'm not all that sure. They havent been running the pistol or the option near as much because I think Harbaugh wanted to throw off defenses that had been training the whole offseason to counter it but something has to change soon. I do think Kap is the guy he was last season and not whoever this is right now but his proving ground awaits him. Honestly though, I think Harbaugh pulls this together and they go deep into post-season once again. Hoping, anyhow.

screech 10-16-2013 02:57 PM

A good call to try to throw off some teams, but it may be time to go back to what worked.

Yeah, he can make new stars with his arms and good skills. I'm not worried one bit

No

Every d coord spent the entire offseason learning how to shut down the pistol that caught everyone off guard last season

That , the injuries, losing talent, and the superbowl hangover are what wrong with the 9ers

Innovator 10-16-2013 05:15 PM

The only person standing between the Giants and their first win is JOSH FREEMAN.

Him and some guy named Adrian Peterson

Does it just sound better when you say it?

Kris P Lettus 10-16-2013 05:26 PM

You made it out like it was Harbaughs choice to let up on the pistol when it was really because it was getting shutdown

Kris P Lettus 10-16-2013 05:27 PM

If it was working he would still be using it

Nark Order 10-16-2013 05:38 PM

Well, it really hasn't been shut down all that much this season as Harbaugh really hasn't relied on it all too much. He set the precedent in that first Packers game that they weren't one trick ponies and I think he wanted to keep that mentality going. Also, he knew that every team was formulating a plan against it in the offseason so he needed more in their bag of tricks. The option works much better anyhow when it isn't expected so I wouldn't be surprised if they bust it out here and again, it just wont be how it was last season where it was expected but couldn't be defended.

Its going to take some time to readapt to defenses but I think strategy has been fairly solid. If they stick to this system and try to keep evolving their bag of tricks, they'll be ridiculously versatile.

NFL currently denying recent rumors of them considering having 2 games be played on Thursdays in the future with one being shown on NFL Network and the other streamed online by an online service provider.

road doggy dogg 10-16-2013 07:18 PM

oh my god more thursday games i hate those fucking idiots

screech 10-16-2013 07:35 PM

No! Fewer Thursday games, NFL! Fewer!

screech 10-16-2013 07:37 PM

Thanksgiving is the only Thursday that football should be played.

And maybe the kickoff game. Maybe.

Ermaximus 10-16-2013 07:38 PM

I'm not fond of TNF as is, so why cram more games down our throats? At this point, just have football played every night of the week and be done with it.

OssMan 10-16-2013 11:13 PM

Aside from Monday night and Sunday, Thanksgiving and Saturday is the only acceptable day to show NFL games, and once the NFL network started showing the late season Saturday games instead of CBS I lost interest

OssMan 10-16-2013 11:14 PM

One day Miami is going to have a Monday night game and some storm is gonna fuck things up and force them to rearrange their schedule and they're gonna end up playing on a Thursday after a monday, would be hilarious

#1-norm-fan 10-17-2013 12:36 AM

What is with this whole "THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL IS UNACCEPTABLE EXCEPT ON THANKSGIVING" attitude? lol

Personally, I find another night of being able to enjoy football quite acceptable...

And I'm sure NFL Network enjoys the huge ratings.

I'm not fond of sunflower seeds, so why do supermarkets keep so many bags in stock?

screech 10-17-2013 07:28 AM

It doesn't help that every Thursday game this year has been fucking terrible.

(is just one of the several reasons why they are fucking stupid)

#1-norm-fan 10-17-2013 05:14 PM

Well, shit happens. Coming into the season, Giants @ Bears was looking to be a pretty damn good game until the Giants decided they didn't wanna play football this year.

And it's not like those games just wouldn't happen if they weren't on Thursday night. They'd be on Sunday at the same time as all the other games. I still don't see the problem with giving a game it's own time and extending the amount of time we get to watch football in a week. If it's shit, don't watch it. It's weird to actually have a huge problem with a game that you wouldn't devote time to watching on Sunday anyway being on a day by itself.

screech 10-17-2013 06:28 PM

I would watch on Sunday, though.

screech 10-17-2013 06:29 PM

Another issue is that I don't have NFL Network so I don't get to see these games I could easily watch/follow on Sunday.

road doggy dogg 10-17-2013 08:21 PM

except the fact that teams are playing on 3 days' rest and it VERY OBVIOUSLY shows. that's not even mentioning the health risks associated with it

if they wanna keep doing this Thursday night bullshit then at least pick teams coming off a bye.

screech 10-17-2013 09:06 PM

When every game on Thursday sucks, it's not just "shit happens." Definitely a pattern here.
