I really wish I could listen to a podcast of two guys who jokingly put odds on such things occurring and have mentioned Dennis Allen's name countless times.

On top of that, a pedestrian walkway over the Southfield Fwy collapsed when a truck crashed into it while Stafford was on his way to (I think) practice last week too. It was like 6am or something and he barely stopped in time to avoid getting fucking crushed. Ridiculous week for the Lions. I'll take 3-1 and bizarro injuries over 1-3 though

road doggy dogg 09-30-2014 08:46 AM

Actually that's a lie, bizarro injuries suck. At least it wasn't Levy though (though Tulloch is pretty good)

I had to rely on Dameshek to get me through yesterday.

Tony Sparano hired as the interim coach for the Raiders.

FCC dropped their rule regarding blackouts for sports games although at the moment the NFL is refusing to follow.

holy shit, that's huge (the FCC ruling)

could be a sign of good times to come

road doggy dogg 09-30-2014 03:57 PM

but did you have to link the ESPN article on the matter? #FreeSimmons

Boomer 09-30-2014 04:22 PM

I'm showing up to provide an excuse for how bad the Falcons are about to become. Losing their second defensive leader, as well as two starting linemen, for the majority or all of the season is balls. And the defense is bad, so yeah. Enjoy those Atlanta fantasy points while you can get them.

Innovator 09-30-2014 04:23 PM

Still trying to sort out the hierarchy of teams, lot of subtitute property equations to do

road doggy dogg 09-30-2014 04:31 PM

Still not sure who to take in the NFC North. I dropped some $$$ on GB to win the SB and their O-line is still fucking awful but last week was encouraging.

Robert Edwards' career shortening injury in a beach football game comes to mind.

A Dallas Cowboys special teams player has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman at the team’s hotel in Texas on Sept. 20 — and he was allowed to play the next day.

The alleged attack came just a day after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s awkward news conference during which he promised to get tough on players accused of violent crime.

Police in Grapevine, Texas, told the Daily News that C.J. Spillman, 28, is “involved” in the investigation of a sexual assault that allegedly took place at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, the Cowboys’ official hotel since 2009.

Also another player facing domestic violence charges this time Titans WR Quincy Enunwa.

Heisenberg 10-02-2014 08:30 AM

The special teams player doesn't hold the weight of a Ray Rice/Adrian Peterson storyline so he can slide through the motions and get over.

Sources predict that we will see a big spike in attacks as opposing teams continue to pay off these women to sabotage player's careers and further improve the stakes towards getting the Lombardi

Antrel Rolle said that Prince is playing so well this year because he's getting laid

road doggy dogg 10-02-2014 11:23 AM

lol that is awesome, do you have a link to that quote

Innovator 10-02-2014 01:13 PM

"I think it all ties into one another, as far as him getting married, being able to (have sex)," Rolle said about his teammate who had abstained from premarital sex due to his religious beliefs. "He's just developing more as a man and accepting challenges and being the dominant player that we need him to be that we know he's capable of."

Rolle said Amukamara carries himself with more swagger.

"For a man, that could definitely help him out. For a man ... I'm just being honest ... it's helping him out. He walks around with a little more swagger, which is something that we need, which is something that we love," Rolle said.

how many texts you think the real CJ Spiller woke up to when ppl misread that story, enough to make the real Spilly spill guts?

Princess played RB for JV squad. Broke a couple of track records too.

screech 10-03-2014 08:20 AM

These Thursday night games have been terrible.

screech 10-03-2014 08:24 AM

But ratings have been up for them so I guess it doesn't matter lol

Ruien 10-03-2014 11:14 AM

People love their football. It seems like Thursday and Monday games have not consisted of two awesome teams or just two decent teams. Always a mix from awesome/decent/terrible teams to make horrible games.

screech 10-03-2014 01:40 PM

At least they've all been division games, which are usually decent no matter how the teams are. None have been that, though

screech 10-03-2014 01:43 PM

I think they've all been division games anyway.

Ruien 10-03-2014 01:45 PM

Actually read something in Facebook that made sense. Have teams coming off their by play Thursday game. For example, Ari and Den could play this Thursday. At least then we are getting teams on full rest. Then they get another week and a half before their next game.

screech 10-03-2014 01:53 PM

Yeah I'd be down with that. More often than not, at least one team is super sloppy on the Thursday game and it means we get crap in primetime.

screech 10-03-2014 02:30 PM

Heard on the radio that the combined score of the Thursday games this year is 205-60. That is awful.

Up compared to what? Last year when it was only on a premium network and now on CBS? Duh.

ClockShot 10-03-2014 04:07 PM

Broncos cut Matt Prater. It was a "football decision".

WHY?!

Up in the slot for CBS apparently. Perplexing given a "top show" was there last year, but that's what I <s>read</s> skimmed at work today.

Bit surprised the NFL hasn't even considered doing that by now. They already have rules regarding the London and flex games to prevent extra fatigue but haven't bothered with those Thursday games yet.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-05-2014 04:25 PM

lol Titans.

lol Lions.

Left one house after the Cowboys game and got to another house to see final scores...

Holy shit, Titans.

Holy shit, Lions.

#1-norm-fan 10-05-2014 04:40 PM

Also, even with Dallas winning, Tampa Bay just made me feel slightly worse about how good Dallas might be.
