Robert Kraft alludes to signing Brady to a huge deal. Hopefully it happens soon

It wouldn't be at the level of distraction of when Brady was expecting his 1st child or like a few previous players who hated being "tagged" but contract disputes can become messy if it lasts over the season.

Kraft basically got cornered into this situation since he persuaded Brady years ago to leave money on the table to make the team better so naturally Brady wants some of that money back. At the same time he is part of the group of owners who are expected to meet with the union to discuss reducing salaries and wreck-less spending.

Kraft would lose a lot of power and support if he just went out and gave Brady a mega deal while telling other owners and players they can't.

IC Champion 08-02-2010 10:38 PM

Everyone knows the Patriots are cheap, I wouldn't be surprised if a deal never got done, and Brady went elsewhere. Not likely, but I wouldnt be shocked given the history of the Patriots and paying players.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-02-2010 11:47 PM

Yeah the Patriots are just going to let Tom Brady walk, you're definitely right

IC Champion 08-03-2010 12:14 AM

I said not likely, and I don't think it will happen, but I'm just saying I can see the Patriots not wanting to shell out all kinds of money, it's not like the have a history of paying the big bucks.

McLegend 08-03-2010 12:42 AM

I watched the Vikings/Saints NFC championships game on NFL Network today.

Man what an incredible choke by the Vikings. I'm not even talking about the Favre play even though that to was a choke. Vikings pretty much did what they wanted against the Saints. Best think Saints did was take kind of cheap shots on Favre which is basically what they did.

Also the only way the Saints could stop Adrian Peterson was if he fumbled the ball, because he was running bitches over. All time choke of a game.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-03-2010 01:32 AM

That's what the Vikings do.

It's great. I've seen the Chiefs, 2nd Cowboys and Bengals ones and I'm 'over here'. Just look up torrents/Rapidshare etc after they've been aired.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-03-2010 08:44 AM

btw there's a football game on Sunday

Kenny Phillips is in the Physically Unable list for a week. I hope he can stay on the field this year.

Ralph Vacchiano summed it up best. The Giants have enough talent to win, but these are the 5 keys:

1. Health
2. Health
3. Health
4. Defense
5. Health

I'm not really worried about the offense at all. I think Jacobs will bounce back and Steve Smith seems to always be open.

Seen bits of the Bengals last year. Just want to see this one badly because it's the Jets. Never done torrents and shit cause I like to keep my laptop clean but I might have a look at it for this. Rex Ryan alone will make it worth the watch :D

Ermaximus 08-03-2010 12:12 PM

Farve just retired, again...

McLegend 08-03-2010 12:20 PM

Down goes Minnesota

Ermaximus 08-03-2010 12:24 PM

Who are their back ups again?

Skippord 08-03-2010 12:27 PM

Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels

Ermaximus 08-03-2010 12:36 PM

Hmm. I'm expecting to see a lot more carries from Peterson this year then.

Hanso Amore 08-03-2010 12:47 PM

AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Innovator 08-03-2010 01:33 PM

OMG NO

ClockShot 08-03-2010 01:38 PM

This surely solidifies that I am taking Chris Johnson #1 overall in my fantasy football draft. Doesn't matter how much of a beast AP is, everyone is going to stack the box now on 2nd and 3rd down.

Team Sheep 08-03-2010 01:53 PM

And he's an overrated turnover machine.

Evil Vito 08-03-2010 01:54 PM

He'll be back, again.

CSL 08-03-2010 01:59 PM

Not buying this until he's not on the field Week 1. He could cut his legs off at his press conference later and I wouldn't be sure.

Team Sheep 08-03-2010 02:04 PM

I believe him this time. Call me a fool in a month's time though.

Ermaximus 08-03-2010 02:04 PM

Apparently Brad Childress was not aware of Farve's retirement and doesn't buy it either.

IC Champion 08-03-2010 02:20 PM

WOOOOOOOOO Now the only team in my Cowboys way are the Saints, and they will gte raped.

Madden curse will handle that for you.

IC Champion 08-03-2010 02:38 PM

Let's hope.

Evil Vito 08-03-2010 03:25 PM

It's a swerve. Brett Favre is going to announce that he's taking his talents to South Beach to join the Miami Dolphins

Skippord 08-03-2010 06:11 PM

also I heard Favre is going to sign with the Heat

Supreme Olajuwon 08-03-2010 06:47 PM

Vito's was better. Probably because his wasn't two posts after a similar joke.

Skippord 08-03-2010 07:03 PM

I don't disagree

McLegend 08-03-2010 07:07 PM

Man it's funny how big of an idiot Brad Childress is. He doesn't have a clue about anything.

Skippord 08-03-2010 07:07 PM

god I hope there aren't many more TV interviews with Brad Childress, creepy fuck

CSL 08-03-2010 07:23 PM

It's all a swerve, Favre is gonna do a run in on Tavaris Jackson tomorrow.

Skippord 08-03-2010 07:27 PM

I think it'll be in the tunnel before the first game of the season

mystery attacker

Droford 08-03-2010 10:11 PM

Favre is gonna start kicking so he can play another 10 years as a kicker.
