those guys would be perfect for a dog collar match, but that's not going to happen.

Droford 01-06-2015 04:52 PM

Clearly if Taker vs Wyatt is in the cards theyll do a buried alive match which the finish will transition from the current feud to that. Bray goes to throw Dean in the grave but Taker pops out and pulls him in.

Dog Collar
First Blood
Texas Death Match

All would've been great

TNA Impact Wrestling will reportedly have a heavy reality TV theme to the show when it premieres with Destination America this week. The idea is to have cameras filming everything from wrestlers walking around backstage, entering the building and even being out of character.

Dixie Carter is said to be a big fan of reality TV and Destination America already shows a lot of reality-type programming. TNA will be changing the format of Impact some to fit Destination America better.

Forbes has published an article noting secondary market tickets to this year’s WWE Royal Rumble PPV eclipsed a $500 average price per ticket on the resale market, making the 2015 Royal Rumble the most expensive professional wrestling event since TiqIQ began tracking the market in 2010.

We noted before that Randy Orton was out of action and will need minor surgery for a deviated septum. Orton has been pulled from tonight's RAW and isn't scheduled for any WWE events until the Royal Rumble.

Why neither of those things were advertised hard on last night's show is simply mind-boggling.

Reddit user MetsFan4Ever, who has broke several WWE stories in the past, noted on Monday that many WWE Superstars are greatly divided on who should win the 30-man Royal Rumble match later this month.

There are many people within WWE who feel that Roman Reigns should win and those same people feel that Reigns is the future of the company, the next John Cena. There are other people who feel Daniel Bryan should be that guy and if he isn't, there will be another disappointing end to the Rumble like in 2014.

There are officials who believe that Bryan winning the Rumble and main eventing WrestleMania 31 is a huge risk because of his past injury history. Some officials really feel that Bryan is a "B" level player and will never truly be at the top of the card. It was said that Bryan's long-term future is still in question.
Take it with a huge grain of salt since the guy has been very hit-or-miss lately especially with the misses.

Lock Jaw 01-06-2015 05:03 PM

And Dean Ambrose would have jobbed them all

ron the dial 01-06-2015 05:04 PM

it would be a challenge to any performer to pull off any of those matches without blood (obviously the first blood would be impossible), but those guys could probably make it work. and seeing a rare gimmick match every few years would be great instead of the same gimmicks over and over again.

Droford 01-06-2015 05:23 PM

Im guessing the lack of a straight jacket match is because theyre too affraid of some mental health group getting pissed off

Still laughed at the Paul Heyman match options....

No Holds Barred
Street Fight
Extreme rules

And Jerry Lawler pointing out how they should tell you how the matches are different.... but then couldn't and didn't.

Wrestling every night of the week

Monday: Raw
tuesday: Main Event
Wednesday : Lucha Underground / NXT (next week)
Thursday: Smackdown (next week)
friday: Impact on Destination America / NJPW on AXStv (both 9pm next week)

Lock Jaw 01-06-2015 06:24 PM

Too much wrestling

Fignuts 01-06-2015 06:49 PM

If they see Bryan as a "B+ player" then fine. But Reigns isn't ready, and he won't be by Wrestlemania. There's no reason why they shouldn't take advantage of Bryan's current popularity, and put him in the spot, while you groom Reigns to eventually be the top guy.

Lock Jaw 01-06-2015 07:34 PM

That's why I think they should have Lesnar lose the title at the Rumble without being pinned.

Lesnar then enters the Rumble as a surprise, but Reigns eliminates him... Lesnar goes crazy and eliminates Reigns. The two fight at Mania.

Droford 01-06-2015 07:41 PM

Rusev should eliminate lesnar so he can walk out again after facing someone who had/has an undefeated streak.

#1-norm-fan 01-06-2015 07:49 PM

How about Reigns wins the rumble and then Cena wins the title. While Cena celebrates, Heyman gets on the apron and a smile slowly creeps across his face as Reigns comes out and demolishes Cena. Lesnar gets in Heyman's face only to get destroyed by Reigns, too. Rumble ends with Heyman holding Reign's hand in the air.

I don't think they're gonna build the new face of the company at WrestleMania. So why not build the new face of the... heels?

#1-norm-fan 01-06-2015 07:50 PM

Plus I don't want Heyman to go away when Lesnar does and if anyone in the company could use Heyman in their corner, it's Reigns.

Extreme Rules encourage bringing in weapons for a match. No Holds Barred is more about using what's already available. Street Fight is like Extreme Rules, only difference being what the wrestlers wear to the ring (they shouldn't be wearing tights.).

Dark One 01-06-2015 09:49 PM

KICKOUT AT TWO!

Just kidding. That was the finish.

Disturbed316 01-06-2015 11:32 PM

Reigns isn't ready at all. If they think the end to last years Rumble was bad, if they go ahead and give Reigns the title at Mania, it will be a thousand times worse.

The irony is in how ecstatic everyone would have been last year.

Yeah. This isn't true at all.

While the majority of the internet has turned on the guy, the general crowd still likes him.

Come on. You know how it works, if the IWC doesn't like something, it's a failure.

I was unaware Rusev got pinned by Reigns at a house show sunday

Morons

#1-norm-fan 01-07-2015 12:45 AM

Yeah, there's no way Reigns gets a worse reaction than Batista got if he wins the Rumble. Not even close.

House shows are only canon if they are mentioned on TV.

I wanted to post this to point out that Jerry Jarrett referred to Pretty Boy Tag Teams that drew in the female fans as "Blow Jobs."

Putting the total of disturbing mental images that you cannot unsee on this post at 2...

<font color=goldenrod>I think the reaction to Reigns winning the Rumble would be just as bad as Batista winning. Philly crowds are like 90% smarks and now that Daniel Bryan is confirmed for the match, anybody other than him winning is going to be dumped on.

Reigns winning would probably get a good reaction in places outside of Philly, Chicago, etc though. His reactions from the crowd should be fine in the buildup to Mania, just hoping he can get better at promos.</font>

From PWI:

The entire script for last night's WWE RAW was re-written at 3pm EST on Monday.

Regarding the creative for last night's RAW, it was noted backstage that a lot of the lines that Stephanie McMahon and Triple H did were something that sounded like it was straight out of Vince McMahon's mouth. There was a feeling that Vince took the script at 3pm, tore it up and re-write it. The belief was that the promos from The Authority were Vince's vision, and they were executing it, and not the voice of Triple H and Stephanie.

There was a lot of people backstage unhappy with the show. The feeling was Ryback, Erick Rowan and Dolph Ziggler were left in a bad spot with the "firing" angle at the end of the show, especially Ziggler.

The stuff about Ziggler and his IC title loss is likely related to a recent report from F4W that stated the WWE is upset Ziggler booked himself on a comedy show without their permission.

More about Ziggler's comedic stuff and likely was the reason why he lost the IC title.

I can't see that being the reason, personally.
